Launchers - Galaxy Tab S2 Themes and Apps

I was wondering which launcher people were using on this tablet. I am currently using Apex Pro. I like being able to customize the dock. I have thought about trying a 3d launcher like Next Launcher.

Im using Smart launcher pro 3 with touch theme and bottom slider lockscreen. Love it^^

Nova launcher with stealth icon pack.

TSF Launcher is otherworldly! It's so good. It's the 1st thing I put on a new device.

Nexus launcher here

Just checked out the Play Store page on this. So is it really that good? It looks amazing but for some reason I am skeptical. If it is as really as cool as it looks I am putting it on everything.

It's absolutely that good! But you have to play with it and make it your own. So many options to customize. Even with all the nice animations, it runs so smoothly. I won't use anything else. The key is learning all the options and gestures. Making it the way you like it. It's crazy I paid $14 for it when it was introduced years ago. The developers have optimized it to perfection over time.

Can you import layouts from other launchers?

The author provided a link to the background...
Wallpaper: http://goo.gl/hEVry
and the rest is just clever arrangement of icons and widgets...like the other post...probably Nova launcher.
This is just me guessing here, because I tried to themed mine just like his a few weeks ago. But here it goes: Clock is Clock JB+, toggles are with HD Widgets 1x1, launcher more than likely Nova, and background it's on the description in the video. Locks creen probably widget locker and then just put everything on the square that he has them on.
I doubt that he has a mod, although he uses cm10 from what I've heard from his other videos. I would just tried to just theme it with what I suggested. If you have any other question, I can try to help, but to the best of my ability.
I hope this helps!

Transition between homescreens... accordion style, which is found in Nova and Go Launcher EX.
Is widget locker any good?

Go Launcher Vs Nova Launcher.

I'm trying to work out which home launcher is better.
I paid for nova launcher prime. Also got Go Launcher. Also looking for good themes and icon packs.

Go launcher sucks. I would stick with Nova. Go launcher is bloated slow and ugly lol. Just my opinion though.

No contest, Go is made for crappy 2.3 devices
It should be Apex or Nova not Go.
Go Launcher's pure of crap.
OK I'll use nova. Just looking for some good themes and icons.

I love go launcher ex. Sure when you first load it you have to dump all the widgets, but so what? Works awesome once it's set up. And it's free, along with hundreds of free themes.
NOVA > all period ! and the go launcher themes works with nova ( lest the ones i tried )
One more for Nova I think is the best launcher for our Nexus phones I use it first time on my Galaxy Nexus and stick with him until now.Go is slow and eat many rams.

I prefer nova because it is lean and uncluttered. Go launcher is made for Gingerbread or something and annoys me with all those other Go apps they advertise for (Locker, keyboard, wallpapers, task manager, widgets etc.). For me a launcher should be built upon the AOSP one, otherwise it destroys the experience.
However, there is one big difference: Nova only supports icon themes, whereas Go can be themed entirely. (drawer tabs, dock separator etc) But you can achieve such theming level in Nova by installing themes for the Tmobile theme chooser which is integrated in every decent custom ROM. If you do that, not only nova, but the whole framework and many apps are themed too.
AW: Go Launcher Vs Nova Launcher.
I don't like the icon order in Nova, I have Nova and Apex , Apex is my favourite .

It was updated a couple of months ago and is very good now
I have bouth nova pro and Apex Launcher Pro and i think nova is a little bit faster, because when i wake up my device and scrolling throw the windows, i have some micro lag (Nexus 4).
Nova is by far my favorite, I haven't use go launcher since I had my Nexus S. For fast and an AOSP like experience I'd suggest nova.

No love for action launcher
Wish he had a free version for people to check out. I like it pretty smooth

I'm gonna have to say differently, I love Go Launcher, always been one of the best launchers on Android because it bring a unique and extreme customization to Android. Nova is a awesome launcher if you intend to run a pure android experience but with tons of customization. I have always gone back and forth from Nova and Go but since Go Launcher had an update to their UI last year I have been reporting a specific issue to them but they still have yet to fix this issue, so until they do I will not use it as my daily driver. I do have hopes that they will someday.
I find Nova less smooth than the stock Nexus launcher tbh
I tried them all and using Apex now. Never had any problems and its packed with features I use.

Battle of the Launchers. Is Nova Prime still King?

Hi everybody,
The Launcher plays a huge role in a smartphone experience. It can enhance it or break it. There is a multitude of new Launchers out there and of course I haven' try them all. I've been using Nova Prime as my home screen launcher for quite some time now. I tried Apex, Go Launcher, SPB Shell and more but I always come back to Nova. I just love the gesture and speed this lightweight launcher can give.
So what is your preferred launcher and WHY? Which one do you think should be called the KING of Launcher?

Nova was never the king. Apex is. It has more features. It's lighter and costs less.
I use next launcher its smooth and efffects r very attractive!!
Nova, hands down. And I've tried Apex - it's alright, but never really liked it. Hated Go Launcher.

For some reasons I can't install it.
I've tried a few different launchers but find Nova to be the best, so much so that i bought it.
Not really sure the difference between paid versions of Nova or Apex though as the free versions seem very similar. Any big difference between the two??

I also agree tha nova is the best, I've tried several launchers and always come back yo it.
For me is the launcher that should come with Android by default and I'm using the free version...

In the Play Store at the bottom of the description of the free version they'll tell you what you get if you get the Prime (paid) version.
TT Launcher is good also http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37696403
Used Go for a long time .tried Next, Apex and found a home with Nova. Tried some of the more graphical launchers but the simplicity of Nova draws me back.
+1 for Nova

Tried Next Launcher and went back to Nova. :cyclops: Frankly nothing special about it for me.
TSF shell have some cool widgets and can have some unconventional nice layout IF they could only come out with a bugless version.
Now using Launcher 8, kinda cool and different. Really like it for now.
Nova is still the most stable and smooth for me. Its always installed while i try other launchers.
Just noticed that Holo Launcher HD is smoother than Nova, in case of scrolling through home screens and app drawer, for me.

[Q] Best SGSIII launcher??

Hello,
I have seen many different and cool launchers on many topics and I would love to know which have the best look and stability (but not Nova or Apex because I hate them).

I Don't thing this question is allowed to ask
as it could start a fight
"The Best" depends upon what you likes & what you want
plz don't ask questions which starts with Best
I don't know may be you could ask some thing like "Whats your Favorite Launcher for S3?"

As was said before, don't ask for whats best as what someone else says is best you may hate. As an example, I use apex launcher and love it, but that does not mean its the best. Only thing to do is try them till you find one you like.

I really like Next Launcher. Try it!
Action Launcher is my favorite. It has a few never seen before features as Covers (an app folder in which tapping the first app in it opens the app, a swipe opens the folder) and Shutters (swiping up an app shortcut displays a widget). The devs give great support. Albeit it does have some stability issues now and then, I can't go back to any other launcher

Tw.launcher from Samsung, a modified and super
I always liked Go Launcher and Nova Launcher, but then again it's a personal preference. There are some new interesting launchers though
If you are looking for the best ways to theme but still want the smoothness of tw launcher then you dont need a custom launcher. You can get away with installing Xposed framework then xposed theme engine. ( both found in the apps and themes section )
Then simply download your favourite theme or icon pack and install them through xposed theme engine and away you go mate.

I actually like the Atom launcher, and it runs smoothly on my S3. I'll just echo what the others said regarding personal preference. )
I used to have Nova Launcher all the time because of a certain theme from mycolorscreen. but now I use Smart Launcher. it categorizes all apps and I don't have to think about where to put all the app icons anymore
edit: also most launchers mess up the look of the homescreens when switching from portrait to landscape mode. smart launcher looks even better in landscape mode

once i got my hands on the s3 (my first smartphone yes) i used the stock launcher for a while but then got sucked into the world of theming and modifying the android platform. it started innocent with the go launcher series. got pretty sick of that fast as it drained my battery with the insane amount of addons for it that all keep the phone awake or something. then moved to nova but that couldnt 100% satisfy me then went to apex for a long time. last week i made a jump and started to try tsf shell (if you are willing to pull out a few bucks). cant really say wich is the best just personal preferences. each telephone has their own personality as it is a extension of you.
I prefer Action Launcher over other launchers. The app drawer and the shutters (swipe over an shorcut to open a widget) won me.
Nova Launcher
When looking for a launcher I always looked for the ones with the less RAM usage and as most of you have mentioned NOVA Launcher has the best performance on less RAM as well it is highly customizable making it perfect for a daily driver on my S3.:good:
Holo Launcher HD, good Performance and many options.

Flick Launcher

If anyone is looking for a new launcher to try, Flick Launcher is worth the look. It has allot of customizations, I have been using it the past couple days seems to be a good launcher to try.
Been using it for a while. Bought pro. The categorized app drawer is exactly what I've been asking Nova to do for years. Flick just needs a little more stability to be perfect.
Yes I bought the pro version as well, very promising.
Tried it, crashed too much. A lot of times i had no apps in the drawer.

That is unfortunate, I have been using it for a bit now, no issues so far, the only thing I would suggest if you are truly interested in using the launcher, contact them and I am sure you can work out your issues.
