No I don't think so, because I don't want to blow the dust in the phone

Use it sideways
PS. There no other way

Well like Pyramid Head said using the compressed air is your best option and why do you need to clean it? and if you do need to clean it how did you even get it so dusty that you need to clean it?

That depends on the type of life you live. Mine was beyond dirty before the end of the first day. I have to sleep mine out once a week.

Try a Q-Tip. I don't think blowing compressed air in to a speaker is a good idea.

what's the small hole at the bottom?

At the bottom of Dash there's a small hole next to the mini-usb. What is that for?

Could be used for headphones
Its for attaching a lanyard. If you open the battery cover you can see the "loop".
For allowing the phone to breath properly...
It's what Mikey said. It's for a special set of headphones. I think it's for a headset with Microphone.

I have a lanyard attached to mine, the problem is that the phone is too large and heavy for a neck lanyard for any decent amount of time.

I like to poke holes.
the square hole is nothing. i looked at it.
Holly crap! I´ve been trying 6 months to attach a parabolic antenna to that hole... LOL!
I agree that the phone is pretty heavy for a lanyard, I used one once and the result was a hurting neck.

I have a retractable belt lanyard that works well. But you need cargo pants for something like the dash to fit in without getting squeezed.

Cool idea! Easy way to make SGS look like Nexus S

Hi,
Just had a sweet idea. Not sure if anyone has tried this yet? Looking at the Nexus S, the front is all black, i.e. no Samsung branding.
I was wondering if we were to take a standard screen protector, and put a small black patch or color a small area black somehow on the adhesive side, then line this up to cover the Samsung logo the front of the device will look all black.
The area only needs to be ~0.5 cm high/2cm long to cover the logo.
Does anyone think this will work or will it look gash? Haven't tried it yet, only collateral damage if it doesn't work would be a screen protector though I guess...
Could work. But why would you want that ;/?. I can understand about themes and stuff but why cover the samsung logo on the front ;/
Yeah... then after hiding the logo try bending the screen and block the sd-card slot with balsa wood and super glue and you will have an awesome phone... hehe...

Ho damn.
We should also find a way to downgrade bluetooth from 3.0 to 2.1. And eliminating the radio will not be easy task.

May or may not work.. I dont really see the point though, the Samsung logo is not ugly or overly present. Also, it wouldnt make it look like a Nexus S, it would just make it look even more like an iPhone 3G

Also stop recording in 720p and adding a flash LOL
Don't forget Gingerbread theme! If you do every of the downgrade advices you will get a Nexus S. Amazing!

Ok ok.... just thought it would be interesting, heaps of reviewers have commented on how mean the front looks when the device is just sitting there with screen off... kinda ominous.
Can't be ar$ed trying it tho, was hoping someone else would

Nah... What I´ve heard it has a tendency to FC. Better not overheat it. Try putting it on your fattest relatives chair during a family dinner or something (the screen is sturdy as we all know). Ideal would be if you knew one of those guys who bends the bananas before they are transported to the stores... sadly, most of them have been hired by samsung and moved to Korea...
HD-video recording should be disabled using nr2 sandpaper on the camera lens.
bluetooth 3.0 I havent thought about beacause non of my friends have as good taste as I when it comes to android devices, due to this I dont think I have ever used bluetooth on my sgs and I might add that I preordered it...

Lanyard

This may seem like a stupid question but, is there not a loop for a lanyard strap on the Galaxy W? Have I just missed it? Seems hard to believe they didn't include it.
Nope, our phone doesn't have an eyelet for even a charm to dangle from.

Not a good idea, the back cover comes off pretty easily. If you assume that it is sturdy, you will be disappointed by seeing your phone fall.

I was actually considering this one, but same as THE-E's comments, I was afraid the back cover would fall off, or the grills would actually break.

I wouldn't try it, although I do think it was a funny suggestion lol.

I have no idea what you are saying. If you are using adbgrab.exe post the PNG that it generates.
Code:

Try using Dex to verify the mobo is intact. Not 100% foolproof but it's a good start.
In the future put it in a good case like the Zizo Bolt.

Yeah it's a heavy, corner hitting, face planting phone
The Bolt can be had for around $20.
The rear kickstand will probably break with use but that doesn't effect drop protection.
In 2.5 years they've sucked up some good hits onto concrete from 2-4 feet. Doesn't mar the frame rails, or attract dirt, grippy but easy to clean.
