After changing the dpi the icons have a small square in the upper left of the icon, is there any themes without customised icons
Sent from my SM-T715 using XDA-Developers mobile app

I'm seeing 342 dpi (not 480) as the max. However, I am set at 480...no issues.
Display Type IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors
Size 6.44 inches (~74.8% screen-to-body ratio)
Resolution 1080 x 1920 pixels (~342 ppi pixel density)
Multitouch Yes
Protection Corning Gorilla Glass 4

That's the physical dpi, it has nothing to do with the software which is what was asked.

You'll have to get used to it, because the launcher has still the squares from before and now the UI is smaller than before.
Or, you can simply swap launchers (I got sick of miui's even if I have xposed and Miui Tweaks, so I jumped on the Nova wagon).

Heyy.. I'm planning to buy this, does the smaller DPI messed up the whole UI or icons? I can never stand the normal DPI.

Hi I want to share the apps I use to make my Samsung Galaxy 2 look like it has a higher resolution. I tried lcd density but I didn't like it because it messed up a lot of apps. So I downloaded go launcher ex. It has a setting where you can change app icon sizes and grid sizes. So I made the app icons smaller and made it a 5x5 grid so I can fit more apps on the screen. Then I downloaded a font size app and made the font of the phone smaller. I also change the default zoom in the browser to far. I feel like it makes the screen look better than stock and not make me want the galaxy nexus screen so much.

Wellll... I just so happened to have already downloaded every single wallpaper from interfacelift.com and wrote a simple ImageMagick script to 16:9 center-crop, 720p resize, and then sorted based on average brightness...
Out of 2,629 wallpapers, 505 of 'em have 25% brightness or less; and 93 of 'em are <= 10% bright.
here's a contact sheet of the 93 darkest wallpapers (254MB):

Now that I look at 'em all at once, though, the "average" brightness doesn't seem like the best method. Maybe average brightness and average uniformity (because I can't stand having "busy" backgrounds)
Wallbase App from Play Store is hands down the ultimate wallpaper app.
These are 1440x1280. I edited most of them myself, but some I picked up from here and there.

Does anyone know the size of wallpaper to use so when using scrolling, like on nova launcher, it'll show the whole picture and not have to crop some of it off?

Reduce Icon Size without changing DPI

Hi All,
I have been using a 3rd Party Launcher on my Asus Zenfone 2 upto now but noticed that on the Stock Asus Launcher, the Icons are too big. Is there a way to change the size of the icon [Font is fine and is changeable too] so as to accommodate more icons on the screen? I have seen some other threads talking about reducing DPI but they also have their issues with certain apps like Keyboard not working and the 3 capacitive buttons not working after altering the DPI. So is there a way to reduce the Icon size or are there icon packs which can be loaded that offer reduced size? Thanks for your time.
I'd like to know this myself. I changed my DPI to 380 and like the layout now, but I really want to reduce the size of the icon's too. They're just slightly too big in my opinion.
Get Nova Launcher and you can change the size of the icons!
I don't want to get a different launcher. I'm actually really liking the Asus ZenUI Launcher.

No way to adjust the icon size without changing the DPI.
What I did, i root it, install Xposed, and have Xposed GEL settings installed + Google Now Launcher. Does not work on ASUS launcher (unless someone create a module for it)

I changed DPI to 270 on my 550 (think default is 300). I really like it because it keeps the same icon layout (I am not a fan of too many icons on one page) but makes them smaller and sharper. Also means you get a bit more stuff on screen in settings menu etc. Not seeing any issues from reducing DPI other than it breaking the page management screen a bit.
I recommend ActionLauncher 3.

Please post picture of the dialer app

Hello, I do not own a Note 7 and would extremely appreciate if someone could could screencap the dialer app? Literally just click on the phone app, hit the dialer button to raise the keyboard numbers, and screencap it. You can block out all your contacts or recent calls, etc, but I need to be able to see the keypad clearly. I am working on Samsung themes and want to make sure all the Note 7 dialer apps are correct.

I have a few already done. Some I have posted here, but once you click on one you can see all in the store. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/themes-apps/theme-themes-shmogt-ones-week-t3380001
The main reason I need the dialer app picture is because it is different from the smaller size devices and it is impossible for me to tell what should go where if I can't see the numbers while designing. Now I can, thanks to you guys, but this dual phone plus video and the regular just calling I didn't know about. Will make things more difficult, but at least I can plan for it now.

Question Screen Zoom and Font size for optimum content and legibility

Just to share. I have been trying the screen DP and font size to have optimal content and legibility.
My best settings:. In developer options, set the "minimum width" to 744dp. (Note: default width is either at 673dp or 785dp depending on zoom level in setting). Also set your system font size to around the middle mark. This settings can fit about 2 and half rows of image in YouTube. Plus the font size does not cause some apps to truncate text because font size is too big. Also, the widgets text is still legible. If your eyesight is better, you can increase DP by multiples of 56 (but keep the system font size around middle mark so it won't messed up some apps text display)
Can you show some screenshot?
This is screenshot for youtube

This was a pretty helpful post at just the right time just got a Fold 3 yesterday and was struggling with the font sizes being a bit to small.
Do you know of any way to adjust the outer front screen fonts size independently ? There way to small for me

I think the font size is one setting for inner and outer screen. Best to set font at default middle position. Then adjust dp on inner and outer screen (in developer options) for comfortable viewing.

When I try to adjust the minimum width setting from the outer front screen it won't stick just defaults to it original settings ?
Are you able to get them to hold there settings from the front screen ?

You can use a bixby routines and change the font size based on open/closed status.
