Is WP7 available in Dubai?

And what phones are available?
I'm on T-Mobile in the US and I want to make sure I get the 3G speeds when I'm back in the states, so if I buy a phone when I'm out in Dubai, what are my options, and what should I get? The nice thing is that in Dubai everything is unlocked, so I just want to make sure I get something good.
I have liked the look of the Samsung Focus, and I guess it would be the Omnia in Asia. I don't care for a hardware keyboard.
Anyway, let me know if you do happen to know
It is not available for sale yet. Microsoft announced launch will be in UAE sometime in November but retailers have no idea when they will get stock.
i was under the impression that Dubai had GSM phones and once u go to US u would need a CDMA one.
Just not sure on this one so better check it out before u buy one
in the USA, they do both GSM and CDMA i think.

That is correct. AT&T and T-Mobile are the launch partners for WP7 and they use GSM. Verizon and Sprint are both CDMA based and they'll launch WP7 phones sometime in 2011.
As long as the phone has the 2100mhz band you should be fine. At&t uses 850 and tmobile uses 1700, but both make phones that will work on their networks and everyone else in the world.

LG G3 D850 works On LTE In India & Middle East

Dear Sir,
I am going to Purchase LG G3 D850 US Version , Please Guide me Whether It works on 4G LTE and other networks in India or Middle east, Because i am an Indian while i am residing in Qatar.
Please help me i could purchase the Specified Model.
Awaiting your valued Reply....
Well, the D850 is a manufacturer _locked_ device that will work on that AT&T network only, in USA, unless you unlock it. Moreover, by design, the device supports out of factory only the radio bands that are necessary to operate on the AT&T network. Even if you manage to unlock the device to operate on non-ATT network, you still will run into issues with some bands missing. So personally, I wouldn't bother with the buying the D850 to use outside of USA or ATT network.. unless you have some solid proof that the D850 can be easily adapted to some other environment. I don't know abour Qatar, but I heard that the new Oneplus X smartphone is fairly optimal for using in India, and perhaps other countries. It has the same hardware specs as the G3.

Indian 5T in Canada

soon im gonna move to canada and was wondering if my indian 5t would work with the carriers found there? or will i have to buy a new phone there
Op5T has only one model for all regions (A5010), which supports almost all LTE bands out there. So yes, you can use normally
(unless you travel to the US and use Verizon or Sprint)

LG G8 At&t Update outside the US

Will there be any chance I will be able to update my At&t LG G8 outside the US? Or should I just get another mobile?

Is Sprint LG G8 factory unlocked for overseas GSM networks?

I am in the market for this phone and what I see most often is the Sprint variant. Some say unlocked, while some do not say. Are all Sprint LG G8 unlocked for overseas GSM networks? I am in Nigeria and have bought unlocked phones which worked fine here. I have also bought some that I unlocked myself and they also worked well her. The issue is that I have not seen any unlock service for the Sprint variant. There are services that unlock the Sprint G7 remotely, but none for the G8 yet. What should I do in this case? If the Sprint G8 is GSM unlocked for overseas use then I am fine with it. If not, and there is no way to unlock it yet, then I'm in a pickle. Your advice please.
Thanks.
Im currently in the caribbean using a sprint unlocked lg g8 from the seller yyywireless in ebay , the phone works great! although it hass two compromises
1- The apn settings are a little weird to configure , you have to reset the apn settings until you get them working
2-The phone is stuck in android 9 , april 2019 security patch , some people were able to update , but I cant
With that said , it shoud work in theory , try to look up the bands that your cellphone companies use and check if the sprint version has them.
Good luck!
