LeTV EUI 5.8 & Android 6.0 leaked ROM for Le Max 2 - LeEco Le1 Pro ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other D

Ok guys this might be big news.
On Friday someone postes a leaked ROM compatible to US devices, namely for Le Max 2. Spec-wise it's very similar to our beloved X800 (http://www.gsmarena.com/leeco_le_max_2-8051.php), I'm downloading the ROM right now and see what we can do.
EDIT: ok, inside the ZIP there is no FIRMWARE folder so it shouldn't brick devices. It's rooted, maybe a simple change in the updater-script to allow X800 installation would be enough? I gotta admit I'm pretty excited! :cyclops:

Did you try to flash it?

I'm at work, can't do that...

Good news, I hope it will work.

but le max 2 have Qualcomm 820 not 810 !

and of course there is official support from leeco since le max 2 officially launched in US

Have you tried?

Is there a marshmallow rom for LeTv x800 US version.

Hello
I was wondering if there is any marshmallow ROM available (stable) for US version.
If not then what is the release date for it.
Can't wait.
Thanks guys.

Anyone knows the release date for marshmallow ROM?
No, as per leeco final official release is 5.5 which is based on Android lollipop.... So I don't think they will release any newer version soon, if you are using Chinese version of phone you can allready download marshmallow update from support website, but for US customers.... Need to wait..... may be if we are lucky they will release marshmallow... Because of official leeco smartphones announcement for US customers..... Good day..

Well, from Leeco you can forget to have any update for the Letv 1 Pro US model. They just say that they didn't sell this phone only on Chinese market.
Our only hope is for some developer who can change the Chinese Rom to work on our US model, like BetaHydri or CrisBalGreece.

Total Noob Question

I looked at all of the forum posts and don't see anything specific to this...
My teenage son wants to get the Note 5 Pro through the Xaomi Aliexpress store. It would be used in the US on AT&T. Ali's buyer notes states things like "China ROM doesn't come with Google Play Store" and "Box will be opened and ROM will be installed that won't support OTA updates". Is owning this phone going to be more manual patching and maintenance than it's worth? He's a smart kid and loves messing around to get things to work, but I want a phone to just work for him and no risk of having a brick.
Just looking for what it will take to have a stable phone that he will enjoy if he has me order it for him.
Thanks!

There are 2 variants one is Indian variant rn5pro and another rn5 China with minor difference.
The chances of bricking is super low. Below 1%
Just install gapps or flash EU rom from Xiaomi.eu when it releases. Its super easy to update/flash diff ROM.

Do those ROMs support automatic updates, or will he have to manually apply a new ROM for updates?
Thanks!

the soc snapdragon 636 can have the feature of 1080p recording at a frame rate of 120fps, so can we able to record this on redmi note 5 pro using any third party app by rooting?

Some roms support ota and some don't. Also devs recommend clean flash for updating. But the thing is that should change with Android 8+ since treble is here which allows for better OTA updates without firmware dependencies being altered. The RN5P (Indian variant) most probably supports treble and thus the devs will be more than happy to incorporate it for more stable and easy updates, specially through OTA. Hope this helps.

Hello Eagle-no1,
I have the same tablet, and looking for Custom ROMs for it since 6-8 months now. So far found nothing, at least not for "Global" version of it.
Mine is the M2-801L model, with the latest official B208 ROM installed on it (Android 6.0).
If you need any details on official ROMs, check my other posts on that topic.
Custom ROMs for this tablet seem to be a pain in the back side, because of the Kirin 930 - official explanation (where the same CPU is on the other Huawei models like Honor P8 or X2 and still lots of custom ROMs are available for those) - not sure what would be the unofficial reason if any...
Hope this helps anyhow.
Have a nice day.
Kind Regards.

The same configuration. Root and deleted idle Huawei programs.

Why no progress in custom development for this device?

I know the Pro version and Pro Max version share the similar specs except physically the main camera sensor. I have a doubt if anything developed for Pro version will also work for Pro Max version like recovery, ROMs, etc. I see no lead for custom development here...
Please share your opinions and views.
Thanks

There is Xiaomi.eu for redmi note 9 pro max but there aren’t any custom things because there is no TWRP release or at least I think that’s the reason or maybe it is the fact that it is quite new

I know it's new... Let's hope it picks up the momentum quickly for custom development without which this awesome device is rather useless....

These factors affects development of this device.
1. Lockdown
2. Flash Sale of Pro Max
Many people are still waiting for RN9P & RN9PM

Yes, they can be the reasons for the lack of development, but I see other devices like poco x2 and RN9P have been picking up pace quite fast even though they are also on flash sale, especially x2.
Let's see... :fingers-crossed:

Pro Max is Indian Version and didn't got any developers still for specific development but it has Unified ROM Builds which is also used in other Redmi Note 9 Pro versions called "miatoll". It is stable enough for Pro Max go and try it.

I am learning git now and I am going to buy Redmi Note 9 Pro Max in three months. Soon I will make a device specific trees for our device and start development of custom ROMs. But I also need testers to test my custom ROMs that I will be releasing in near future.

Actually There are a few roms (I'm using pixel experience). Just search for roms using the codename (Excalibur).
Extra info: I am using unofficial twrp since I was getting error7 when I was flashing using pitch black recovery

Unofficial twrp:
https://unofficialtwrp.com/twrp-3-4-1-root-redmi-note-9-pro-max/
Rom:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-9-pro/development/rom-pixel-experience-t4158325
So if you flash that twrp then everytime you connect your phone to pc, it will show "note 9 s". You can follow the step on how to flash, but when I flashed no_verity I got stuck in bootloop. So you can ignore that step
Rom is pixel experience, didn't see any bug yet. Just the front camera didn't feel optimised. Like when I taking selfie using apps like instagram or snapchat, it would be dark and blurry.

Question rom custom

Good morning ,
I come to you because I currently have a xiaomi 11t and I would like to install a custom rom on it but I cannot find a compatible rom for the 11t I find that for the 11t pro

Yep, avoid buying soc MediaTek devices.
Custom rom MIUI better than stocks with for example the call recorder and other features absent on stock roms.
