Galaxy Tab3 7.0 (SM-T210) - Can't flash ROMs, recovery or factory reset + bootloop - Galaxy Tab 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all
Been having some issues with a Tab3 that was stuck in bootloop - it would turn on for anywhere upto 10-20 seconds then reboot, and repeat... I tried going into setting and selecting factory reset and it wouldn't allow it.
I then used Odin to flash TWRP recovery then flashed a custom ROM (can't remember which but it was completely de-bloated and had bare necessities). The bootloop continues and still not fixed.
When I boot into recovery I can select all options, re-partition, format, wipe cache/dalvik, etc... But even though I've wiped everything in recovery when I reboot the Tab everything is exactly as it was, as though I hadn't wiped it.
I've tried flashing a new recovery and stock ROM with no success... So, I'm wondering if anyone has ever had this problem and how would you recommend I go about fixing it?
Cheers

I've tried using Odin using re-partition, nand erase all, phone efs clear, PIT file, stock ROM, recovery, etc...
It's not hard-bricked as it's booting up, but for some reason it doesn't wipe or flash to stock and I can't find the solution!!
Any help is appreciated

[Q] Having flashed a stock ROM via Odin, my N7105 will not boot

Hi, I'm fairly new to Rooting and ROM flashing but having successfully flashed a few ROMs to my N7105 (Note II International LTE), I decided to go back to the stock firmware.
Having flashed the stock ROM for my region, my phone now does not get past the Samsung logo. It appears as though everything went ok in Odin but the phone just won't boot!!
Having done a bit of searching, I think it might be that my data/dalvik cache needs to be wiped (if I've got that wrong, be nice - I'm new to this!). Thing is, I can't find a way to wipe this cache without loading in to CWM recovery or similar. The recovery that I can currently boot in to does not allow me to wipe cache, only to go in to download mode or to reboot.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Never mind, just discovered holding Volume Up, Home and Power boots in to the actual recovery mode from which I did a factory resst.
Told you I was a NOOB

Stuck in CWM / Crash on every Rom installations

Hi everyone
Sorry in case of repost.
I have a P5210 (Samsung Tab 3 Wifi). Once rooted everything was allright until I entered in recovery mode from the Rom Toolbox app.
I'm now stuck in a recovery loop mode and can't get out (CWM v6.0.4.7)
I've tried everything from factory reset / cache and dalvik cache wipe, to "fix" zips and so on. But nothing changes.
I've tried to reinstall CWM by putting a recovery image into a script and flash it through CWM. Seems to be done correctly, but when I reboot, it's still the same CWM (no update)
Eventually, i've tried to install some custom ROMs to start fresh : Every installation crashes at "WRITING SYSTEM PARTITION". I get black screen and a reboot.
And I've tried every custom Rom compatible with P5210.
Can you help me to get back to a clean configuration ?

Hi
It seems you were on kitkat rom which may have updated your bootloader to kitkat version. The CWM needs to be updated to work well with kitkat. I had similar problem with my SM-T210, and solved the problem after updating CWM as per this post for T210:

Your tab is different from mine so i think you need a fresh stock rom install using odin, then find an updated CWM for your tab.

[Q] Helping with bootloop

Hi guys! I have a problem. I had paranoid android as rom and it worked great! Some days ago while i was using Facebook app there was an overloading of memory (i think) and there was the reset of the Nexus. From that moment the cellphone is in bootloop. I can access in the recovery (CWM). I tried some methods:
1)in recovery mode i tried to wipe everything but nothing
2) i used nexus root toolkit but nothing... also enabling the option softbrick/bootloop
3)using gnex toolkit... the same
4)using Odin too but nothing to do
What can i do ??
Thanks
PS: all these methods that i tried seem to work but when i turn on the phone it is always in bootloop -.-
try flashing the system in recovery or in fastboot mode?

Same problem here
Am facing the same problem here.
Was on cm11 and one fine day without any issues got into a boot loop. My phone is encrypted, so during boot, it asks the password and even logs into the phone, but within 5 seconds, it goes into a reboot.
Tried almost everything i could find.
erasing/formatting from fastboot - shows success but logs into cm11 again with bootloop
Trying to flash stock - everything shows success but still back to cm11 when rebooted
trying to format mke2fs -t ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p12 from recovery- still nothing
flashing through odin - no change.
The crazy part is, everywhere it shows success and when it finally boots system, its booting cm11 and asks for password to decrypt data. And after booting goes into a reboot.
The only place i see any failure is when trying to format /data from twrp. It says its not able to mount the partition.
Any pointers anybody? Can't think of anything else which i can do to fix this issue. :crying:
I had same probleme after install lollilop rom:
[ROM][5.0.1/LRX22C][AOSP] AOSP Lollipop: a wee better than stock.
1 day use and bootloops, everything i do seems ok but it always bootloop without changes !!!
1)in recovery mode i tried to wipe everything but nothing
2) i used nexus root toolkit but nothing... also enabling the option softbrick/bootloop
3)using gnex toolkit... the same
4)using Odin too but nothing to do
If anyone get a solution ?
I had same probleme
I had same probleme after install lollilop rom FML-AOSP-5.0-20141207 Recovery: CWM V6.0.5.1
I've tried everything from wiping erasing and reflashing & reflashing data, wiping cache, davlik cache, system, internal storage. I did the factory reset in CWM recovery to wugfresh toolkit's "flash stock+unroot" with odin mode All finished successfully according to fastboot , recovery , odin but a reboot showed the system in the same state as before.

Bricked my Tab S 8.4? Help !

I rooted my tablet using AutoRoot, installed TWRP and tried to flash a rom, and now my device won't boot. I found another thread where others managed to factory reset and get it to work, but after I get into android recovery and wipe the cache, factory reset, and reboot, the tablet never reboots.
I've also tried reflashing AutoRoot in Download Mode with Re-Partition unchecked, and it passes but again, doesn't reboot.

If you have bootloop in recovery (t700)

I had a problem recently after trying to do a "factory reset" from the android settings in CM12. Once the tablet will reboot was kept at a constant bootloop in recovery, appeared the display screen of the recovery and restarts. Do not know what to do, I tried to install a rom from Odin but it was impossible, in the end, the solution was to download the recovery stock and install it with ODIN, after entering mode download dozens of times, and many reboots after returning to stock recovery the message on the screen said "erasing" so I guess the tablet had the order to the "factory reset" but this will not be achieved from TRWP.
If someone comes to have a problem bootlop I hope you can fix it with this method, a hug to everyone.
translated with google translator.
A factory reset is simply wiping/formatting the data partition. Twrp could have done that.
Your mistake was attempting to do it from within a custom Rom. The device needs to boot to recovery to perform the reset. I'm guessing you would need cwm recovery installed to factory reset from within CM12 as I doubt it would work with stock or TWRP.
