Anyone know how to buy the non branded Note 7? - Note 7 Questions & Answers

I was watching a review and it was of a Note7 without Samsung printed on the front. It was still on the back and they said they were sold in a few Asian countries such as China. Anyone know where to buy these without a big mark up?

I honestly think those videos were of pre-official release models just to show them off, or get measurements for cases n such. The only video I've seen of an unbranded one was one that wasn't officially released. Pretty sure about that, but does it really bother you that much?

The Korean models don't have the branding on front http://scopick.com/#/product/352

Tokyo Japan Galaxy Nexus display

If you're living in Tokyo and want to play around with the phone, they have 2 of them on display at the Docomo Smartphone Lounge near Yurakucho Station.
The nice lady there said they didn't have confirmed release date yet. She thought maybe the end of November.
Do you know if there will be any differences between the japanese version and the european/american one?
As I live in Japan it will be easier for me to get it here. But always japanese handsets have problems, with additional hardware or some small difference.
I just want an unlocked device to cook my roms...
no idea. I've always got my phones overseas in the past. The ones in the docomo lounge had no docomo logo, so I'm guessing they were engineering demo models. I guess we ll have to wait for the release models and check the versions listed there to compare with the overseas ones.
I went in a Docomo shop on Sunday and the one they had seemed to be pretty standard to me. What do you think?

What device to get?

So I was thinking of getting the at&t htc one x but as you all may know it has its own set of issues. I'm on at&t but wouldnt mind getting the international htc one x version and not using lte as I'm not even in coverage areas anyways if you guys really recommend it. I like that the International hox has more space.
Also, not really interested in the galaxy s3 but the only thing that may have sparked interest is the sony xperia ion which is suppose to be coming to at&t in june. I believe it has lesser specs than the int. hox?
Either way, what do you guys recommend. Skip the at&t hox and go for the int. hox? I definitely like to root and rom, thats all I did on the htc inspire.

If you like to root and ROM, international One X it is....no questions asked. Simple and straightforward answer is to get Int'l One X.
Since ur also not in LTE areas, you can't turn off the LTE on AT&T One X from what I remember reading, so you'll drain battery just by having it on and get LTE like stats, instead of the 3G only stats which are nearly double the life.
Get International One X, Xperia Ion isn't good. An actual Sony flagship contendor is in the works though with the Snapdragon S4 Pro chip.
I see your in nyc, any dependable vendor you can recommend that has been shipping the int. hox with little to no defects? I only know expansys-usa but never ordered from them.

Order from Expansys, or Negri so just incase your model does have a defect, you can get replacement.
The Chinese models (ones manufactured in China) seem to have much less problems than the taiwan models.
Basically SH serial number seems to be better than HT for the most part. Mines an SH and all is well except for a slight flicker on light grey colors (software problem 95% sure but not noticeable) Other SH models have been problem free from what I hear. I have no flex or hardware issues

I personally chose the Galaxy S3 ( preordered yesterday) but I walked into an AT&T store today and saw and held the one x for the first time. I've never seen a phone or anything like this. The design is just too good, even the glamour grey, just an amazing looking phone. As far as you getting the intl' or the AT&T version, well since you like to root I guess get the intl' version. But the AT&T version is just much better right now. Excellent battery life and none of that lag crap.

correction, it is the other way around
I'd be stuck on 16gb(really like 10gb approx.) internal space, no root or way to unlock bl. Less dev support probably because of this. Seems neither hox is issue free though. Way more convenient to walk into an at&t store.

no...im pretty sure the chinese models have been better.

I don't agree with that. I ordered from Expansys and the unit was made in China and I had a yellow spot on my screen.
Decided to buy locally (2nd phone carrier branded HTC One X) and this is made from Taiwan and have no issues at all.
Chinese handsets are the ones that have problems.
I ended selling my 1st One X on eBay for $400 and was not really happy about the return policy with Expansys.

[Q] buying note 2014 in another country

Hi,
I'm considering getting a note 10.1 2014, and may have the chance to pick one up in Hong Kong in the next few months. I've never bought a gadget from another country before though - and wondered if anyone can advise me on the implications of this, whether it affects usability or if there are any other reasons it's not a good idea.
Many thanks,
Andii

I've bought tons of Samsung devices from other countries for use in the U.S. My N10.1-14 is from Latin America. The biggest downside is you'll give up your warranty completely unless you send it back to HK for repair. I've stayed away from Asian imports because Western market devices allow you to interchange s/w whereas some of the Eastern devices don't. Maybe someone from Asia can offer more insight.
You need to make sure what you bought! They also have many "smuggle" from europe, and US. Which most of the US model is "14 days return" item. (I guess europe is the same but I dont know their policy.) Yes smuggle is cheaper.
If you buying HK model, then you dont care this. but if you want to buy the smuggle product, please note that some of them may change the original bettery, or is used item. To ID it, is check the SIM card slot, and USB port. If is new then good to go. For bettery, I don't know how to check is real or fake.

US vs International version.

I'm about to buy this watch from Amazon. They have both a US and International version. I have no clue what the difference is. Any recommendations?

I bought the US version and have used it in countries outside US (India, Middle East) without problems. So I am not sure if it matters
Warranty differences. Nothing else.
What about wall chager plug? Does US version come with US type or standart EU type wall charger?
Best,
US version has US plug ( of course.....)
But who cares about that... adapters are $1....
Okay that adapter works
How about watch faces. For example should I use most common moto 360 luxury brand faces like R. Submariner, O.Semaster, T.Heuer etc.
Do these faces also compatible with Huawei watch?
If you guys who have these faces with Huawei would share some images, I will be glad.
Best,
Hello guys...
This is Huawei answer in Amazon:-
"Hello Stephen Munroe, I'd love to answer your question! Certain software updates on the U.S. and international versions of the Huawei Watch are different. For example, the Huawei Watch, featured in China, doesn't have the software update for the speaker that the U.S. Huawei Watch version has. Also, the U.S. watch comes with a 1 year U.S. manufacturers warranty while the international watch does not. (ED)"
Any experience with using the US-version in Europe?

Good question, I've just ordered the US version, I can't see why it wouldn't work here in Europe/UK though ?
I heard the US version is not IP67 certified and may not be as water resistant as the International version? Read that from a review on Amazon.
I'm using Huawei Watch US version in Asia (Pakistan) for a month now. It shouldn't be an issue because the watch doesn't have any network bands which you fear might mess up. I ordered the US version because of that speaker update which, according to Amazon Q&A, didn't land on international version. As for the IP67 certification goes, I didn't expose it to even a drop of water because I don't care if the watch is IP67 or not, speaker definitely isn't and since I'm away from US, I don't have the warranty so I can't risk it.
I was a proud owner of original Moto 360 for a year and half before this. This watch is leaps and bounds better than Moto. You're gonna love it using it and you're gonna love it when people are continuously going to compliment you because this watch is an exquisite piece of technology.

The difference in the Huawei Watch 2 international version & US is this.
Huawei did not release it's stand alone LTE version in the US, the US version lacks a sim card slot & LTE capability, it only runs on Bluetooth & WiFi & NFC.
The international version ha LTE capability, it has a sim card slot & can be used as a stand alone LTE device with it's on phone number so it doesn't need to be connected to a phone, it can run off LTE & WiFi & Bluetooth & NFC.
You're responding with comment about HW 2 to an almost 2 year old post which was about HW 1....??

White Nexus 7 Model?

I was looking to pour a little money into my older tablet as I still use it tons and Android 11 actually runs quite smoothly on it.
One of the things I wanted to look for was a white backing replacement, I know the white model exists but WHERE? Thanks for any information!
They were originally sold in the US, UK, or Japan. Afaik, the white variant wasn't available with LTE.
Does anyone know if there are any 3d printed back covers for the nexus 7? I didn't see any on thingiverse.....
The only white models I see are best buy ones which are no longer on sale...
