Does anyone use a Xiaomi 10000mah Powerbank Pro with this? - HTC 10 Questions & Answers

Sorry for such a specific question, but does anyone by chance own a Xiaomi 10000mah Powerbank Pro (the 2016 dark grey one with QuickCharge 2.0), and can confirm that the QuickCharge 2.0 works with the HTC 10?
Reason I'm asking is because of the included Type C cable. EVERY Type C cable I have tried did not work with the stock QC3.0 plug. So I want to make sure that I can charge this phone with the QC2.0 feature before buying it.

QC 2.0 shouldn't be a problem.. furthermore you might be able to make two full charges of hTc 10 with the aforementioned power bank..

Gotcha buddy, and yep it works! Just got it after work, and it quickcharges like a charm!
Only thing bugging me is the included wire tho, should have just given me two wires instead of putting a type C adapter on a microusb cable... oh well at least it works!

10000mAh power bank with QC3 & Type C

Hey guys,
I have been trying to find a 10000mAh (or around) power bank with a QC3 output + normal output and a Type C input.
The closer thing I could find is the Tronsmart Presto, but this has only 1 output.
This Anker has been great for me. Charges extremely fast and reports "Charging Rapidly". Comes with a nice mesh bag and micro USB to USB cable. I bought their PowerLine USB to USB-C cable to charge my 10.

Edit: Didn't read your whole post. My apologies. I've got nothing.
There you go , I personally use it for few weeks now and it's amazing

Yeah, I got something similar (only it has 2 outputs, not just one)
The only thing that I would prefer is for the input to be Type C instead of micro usb.

I saw that one, but it's just ridiculously large - would like if they make a 10 000 mAh version.
EDIT: actually, it's not just that: the input on the Ravpower is micro usb - I am looking for a type C input

The type C port on this one can be used for both input and output. However only the micro port supports charging the power bank with QC.

Non HTC 10 chargers?

I don't fully understand why, but I've read that due to our phone using USB-C for charging, that I should probably just use the OEM cable and charger my phone came with. I have an LG G5 charger and cable laying around, but the specs are slightly different than the 10's. Would it damage my phone to use that as a spare charger? Also, can somebody give me a simple explanation why USB-C is delicate for quick charging?

No one can explain your statement due to it is simply nonsense..
And secondary - which charging do you intend to utilize: Qualcomm QC technology or conventional charging - when asking about different adaptors..?

I'll rephrase the question, not statement, in a way that might be easier for you to understand. Here it goes: Can somebody give me a simple explanation as to some people allege USB-C is not compatible with Qualcomm QC?
Also, since my question is about quick charging, and since the LG G5's charger uses quick charging, that's the kind of charging I want to do.

the usb-c standard plug has not enoufg physical connections available that are needed for fast charging.
HTC uses some physical connections to enable quickcharge, wich is not standard.

i would check the output voltage, htc can accept ~5volt ~9volt and ~12volt.
if you have a good usb-a to usb-c cable (stock or somethink like aukey (NOT ANKER)) i would feel comfortable becouse the phone and the charger communicate with eachother on what voltage to charge.

To be even more precise, on just one model ID of their PowerLine USB C cables, the rest of their PowerLine USB C cables are fine.
Anker’s Powerline 3.1 Gen2 cable has a flaw that causes it to “remember” the charging voltage for a laptop that it’s plugged into, then accidentally provide that higher voltage to a phone unless it’s unplugged from the more powerful charging base. This can overload your phone and destroy it.
Anker has already replied with the following recall:
We are offering all of our PowerLine USB-C A8185011 users a full refund.

Right, and that's a USB-C to USB-C cable. Not sure why you're recommending to stay away from Anker's USB-A to USB-C cables.

Anyone know if a Htc 10 3.0 quick charger will work fine on pixel xl ?

Does anyone happen to know if the pixel xl will charge properly off of a htc 10 3.0 quick charger ? And if the htc 10 USB-C cable will also work fine for pixel xl. I looked it up but I did not really find any definitive answers. I have multiple oem htc 3.0 quick chargers that I got on an accessories rebate from htc a while back and I have multiple oem htc 10 cables. I just wanted to be sure I"am guessing yes since the 821 processor is 3.0 compliant but google turned it off I believe ? But shouldnt the 3.0 chargers still only charge what the pixel xl wants to take ?

It will charge as if you connected it to a regular charger. It will not negotiate proprietary charging, unless the charger is also usb c power delivery compliant and you have the appropriate cable.

OK thanks. I just was not sure if it would try to charge more than the 18 watts that pixel xl is supposed to accept at most. I assumed it would be OK but I would still have a thought about it.
I'll be honest, the spare HTC 10 charger I have works way better than the one Google included. I charge it at my office with the HTC 10 one, charges fast, perhaps in an hour and a half. Whereas I am actually having issues with my actual Pixel XL charger. I don't know if it's faulty or what.

Try switching cables, few have mentioned having issues with the pixel's cable being faulty.
I have a HTC QC2.0 charger in my office, I usually charge my phone when battery about 70%. the input is about 5V 1A.
I don't have type C current meter to check the stock charger. But when I compare to my previous phone which is s7 edge. it's easy to feel that the speed is slower. and USB-PD charger is so hard to found.

Where to buy a replacement charger !?

My charger broke can anyone recommend where to get a replacement please. Google apparently sells them for at least 30 pounds. Can anyone please recommend a cheaper alternative which does work in terms of fast charging please?
Try Amazon

Not all type c provides fast charg it needs to be type c to c also capable to provide above 15w (5v * 3A)
Yes this. Although, my Nexus 5X one which is 5v3a does fast charge pretty much the same as the stock Px8el 2 XL one. The Pixel 2 XL has been restricted and doesn't take advantage of it's 9v2a charger rating.

You either just paid or are in the process of paying off a near $1,000US (£750) device. Do you really want to risk damage to your home or the device because you want to save a pound?
Spend the £30 or so and get the correct charger.
Have you tried asking Google for a replacement charger under warranty?

True but any 15w USB power adapter and a USB-C cable should do the job just fine. It's never been an issue for me.

Not all USB-C cables are the same. The one we need has to be at least USB-C 2.0. The effects from using the wrong spec cable are unknown to me, but I'm not about to find out either. The potential for damaging the device is why I spent the extra money and got an Anker 6' cable that matches the specs of the 3' cable included with my charger.
Some good info here.

Yh for sure as long as type a to c can deliver 15w it will do the job but not all type a to c can thats why i recommend type c to c for its capability.
I always go with either Goggle directly or the Anker ones that have PD enabled for faster charging.

USB Type-C Charging & Headphone Adapter

Has anyone tried any double usb-c adapters and can we get a list of working/not working units with links going?

I'm looking for a 2 m long cable that supports warp loading. (30 W or 25 W).

1.2a @ what voltage?
Unfortunately one linked above I can not find in the US but I did find that UGREEN just released a model:
https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Supports-Headphone-Charging-Aluminum/dp/B07H76VRPZ/
UGREEN is the first "brand name" that I know of that has released an adapter with charging so this may be a great sign of things to come!
I don't know, i'm going off ampere app as I don't have hardware to get actual values

Strange the app would not tell you that because otherwise the app does nothing. Knowing the amps without the volts has no meaning. It is like asking how bright a star is and you tell me the temperature of the star instead and no information on the radius. lol
Now I could be wrong but maybe the Oneplus 7 only supports 5v charging in which case 1.2a is even slower than the minimum normal charging speed of 2a @ 5v.
For reference while the warp charger supports up to 30W it means that at 1.2a your charging at 6W or about 1/5 the maximum speed. (assuming 5v)
BTW this means that when looking at charging specs for batteries and other things to charge your 7 pro your going to want to look at the max amps supported @ 5v.
please recommend. i really need one. Thanks

Buddy if you'll use a splitter ( which is not recommended)
You'll be compromising both audio quality and charging speeds.
I tried some of them. It's a waste of money.
What i rather do is charge my phone first coz it has 30w wrap charge which is very fast.
Then use the audio adopter to use headphones
Or a very simple solution buy galaxy buds. Better than airpods in every way and you can use you phone while charging while watching a long movie.
Profit ! ?
