IR Blaster Case - Note 7 Questions & Answers

Guys, I want the ir blaster back. And i'm not alone.
I got an idea, could it be possible to have a ir blaster circuit powered by nfc ( or even wireless coil(charging thingy)) with the circuitry at the top of the phone and some smd IR LED.
I dont know how nfc works, but if the power can be manage by software, it would only take an nfc receiver, which can be ultra thin, and some SMD LED, which on in the thickness of the case.
What do you think?
Maybe some capacitor and resistance would be needed, but in can probably fit in the front on the phone, it would add like 3 mm to the length of the phone.
Still, i'm not a pro in electronics, how to you find my idea?

Why did you laugh at the reply? Those remotes are awesome! I have 2 set up in my house and the app works just as great.

Oh yeah, I was on that band wagon for a while but it's totally not needed these days.

Not really a case but you can try this. Someone says it works on Samsung in one of the FAQ.

Conclude the a100 mic?

I know this has been mentioned many times and we all know how low quality the mic on the a100 is, but has anybody came to a final fix ASIDE from using a headset, through some of my playing around I noticed that the mic hole is actually lined up wrong, the plastic sides of the a100 can be removed, and when I saw where the hole is, it was positioned over a piece of plastic right beside the mic, and the mic itself is blocked.
So out of desperation a drilled a small hole right over the mic, that did seem to make the volume higher, but the quality...oh so worse (I had to fill that hole again with superglue, and it looks horrible), if anybody would like to see, just take the small piece of plastic off the side (it snaps in/out) and see for yourself how the mic hole doesn't even line up.
Now the second interesting thing is that I saw a chat session with a technical support guy at Acer about the mic on this tab, and he actually confirmed that the mic shipped with it is in fact a cheap low quality mic, so I was thinking, would anybody be able to somehow solder it out and swap it with a much higher quality one? Say from a headset or something, I don't have any mics of the same size as the a100 but if anybody has one can you maybe try and look into it, I sure will try as soon as I get good enough with soldering and find a headset, I mean we really don't have anything to lose other than a cheap mic that doesn't really work .
Much appreciated, thanks

Dust plug for proprietary Samsung plug

I like to use dust plugs on my devices to preserve their functionality. I am unable to find a dust plug specifically for the Samsung proprietary plug. There is one from China, but I really don't like ordering products from overseas.
Has anyone used the iPhone proprietary dust plug? It seems like it might fit, not sure.
All I know is that I tried a apple av cable on my 10.1 and the plug didn't fit.

Thats because the "tongue" where the pins are does not line up with the "rails" where the connector slides in.
OP depending on where how detailed the cover is (ie whether it has rails and a tongue or just a tongue or just rails etc) will determine whether it fits

Bummed Wireless Charging was not stock

So I spent way too much time researching wireless charging mods for Note II's in general only to realize that the Sprint specific version has the charging port terminal holes filled in.
Why did they bother?
I just received a Touchstone for my Touchpad, would have been awesome to have that available for my Note II w/o having to drill holes in my casing and void the warranty.
Oh well.

Nice find, I wonder if it will work through my Ringke SLIM. The Touchpad Touchstone is almost powerful enough to charge it through a rather thick folio case...hmmm
Also a bit hesitant to solder anything...I think I'd rather drill a hole in my plastic, since both would void warranty.

Yeah, thanks for sharing, that's what I was referring to in my OP, I guess I don't want the MOD enough to void the warranty.

Looks like the Pebble Steel Silver Band.
What kind of set up is that ?
It's my Tylt charger. Since I have the pebble steel band on the 360 it took some
positioning skill and the help of a small remote to find the sweet spot to make it charge.
Ate you also an AV tech by chance? Looks like my bench at work (video switching equipment repairs). Always love seeing what other XDA users do for a living

It is the pebble steel band. I love it. So much easier then putting on the leather every time. As for the picture. Just a catch all tray for remotes and a good place to charge my phone and watch.

Htc features?

I haven't read anything maybe someone else has. Will this phone have wireless charging or water resistance.
Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
No wireless charging. I'm not sure about waterproofing, but I'm guessing that's a no as well.
Thanks, wireless charging is becoming important to me have it in my car, home, work. That should now be standard on high end phones. Just an opinion.

Yeah, the metal body makes this very difficult (impossible?). I'm considering a case with wireless charging support.

Actually it is, but it's pricey and no OEMs are utilizing it.
