change default apps on lockscreen - P8lite Themes and Apps

I was wondering if I could change the default apps on the lockscreen and since I haven't read something about it, If anyone knows I would be glad to inform me.

AFAIK no one yet management to change apps but I'm sure smarter people than me could easily manage to change them. One thing I've noticed is that all apps that can be opened from lock screen have permission to draw over other apps. So keep this is mind of you are going to try something.

how can i hide my apps from the drawer?

I really need a way to hide my apps from the app drawer,
do I have to be rooted? Someone please help, if this is
Already answered somewhere sorry, lol I suck at forums. Need help!
Thanks
Go to the market and get ADW launcher. Awesome app that you don't need root to use. Has a slide bar on the bottom to hide any app you want. Other than that, I'm not sure of a way off the top of my head to do so.

When you say you are trying to hide apps from the app drawer....what do you mean? I dont think you can actually hide them from the app drawer if they are installed unless the app is designed to be hidden after install, such as "mobile defense" is. If you want to restrict access of apps so that someone cant just open your phone and get into your apps, there are apps out there that will require you to put in a password to gain access to your apps. I think the name of one of them is app protector.
If you are looking to hide them on your homescreen (ie: your app drawer dock)
then the best launcher to use would be "Launcher pro" or "ADW Launcher" In my personal experiance, I like Launcher Pro alot better. ADW has more settings options but there are a few functions on Launcher pro that I like more especialy the dock and app drawer ones.
Advanced launcher was in older versions of CyanogenMod. It had this feature. I don't know if the launcher is still being developed, but these new launchers should really take a cue from that. I found the feature useful, and I could definitely use it now. It also allowed you to put folders in your app drawer, which I thought was pretty cool.
I believe app safe will hide them. Its from the people that made photosafe and video safe and what not. Check the market for it. But I'm not entirely sure.
ADW is the only simple easy way. With ADW you can still have the app on your screens but hidden from the launcher drawer. You can also use the keyboard and type the app name and it shows up.
launcher pro just added this feature as well

Thanks for pointing that out. He hasn't updated the changelog on his blog so I didn't know what made it into the updates.
At least now I don't have to see my bloatware.

(Q) Start menu equivalent.

One of the things I miss most from winmo is that, on WinMo, you always can access your 'all programs' drawer from the notification bar/start menu. You could use your phone heavily all day and only see the Home screen once.
I've searched high and low for an Android equivalent, but find nothing. Anyone know of anything?
Closest I've found is multitask manager, it attaches to search button, and let's you put preferred apps in it, but you can't put 'launcher' or 'rosie' in it.
Anyone know what I'm trying to describe? Or have any suggestions ?
Thanks
Also, I just realized this is probably in wrong subforum, toast or MOD, feel free to move it. Thanks. Sorry.

i am not sure the question here. are you saying you want it so that you have to go to the home screen to launch the app draw or are yous aying you dont want to have to go to the home screen to launch the app draw?
I am not sure what you are using but i dont have to go to the home screen to launch app draw. also you may try playing with launcher pro you can set up the dock to have apps on it. i use a combination of app organizer and launcher pro. I have the favorites group mapped to my dock and then i can favorite apps and get to them from that dock button. Works well for me.
I think you can set up the Power Strip app to show your app drawer.

He means he wants a universal way to access the app drawer from anywhere. In WinMo, the start icon / app drawer is always on the status bar.
Yeah, awardtour, you nailed it. Thanks. I see i accidentally used a double negative in my OP, making it confusing.
Yeah, i want to be able to launch my app drawer from the notification bar, or search button (any 'button' that is always present).
I use adw EX and LPP a lot, but have never found a way, within android, to acheive this functionality. If anyone knows, please share. Thank you.

I'm not sure of the name, but I'm pretty sure there's a gesture based app launcher on the market (or maybe here) somewhere that allows you to program a gesture to a app launcher so no matter what you're doing you can swipe the gesture and have an app menu come up. I'll see if I can find it for u.....

Zeam launcher has something like that, but you'll have to be on one of your homescreens though...

Alright, this is what I was thinking of. Create a list of apps, call up via gestures from anywhere.

It actually looks pretty cool. I think I'm gonna buy it. I'll report back and give my opinion

Hey, I tried wave launcher, its free on getjar right now. Its EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR! !!! Thanks for the suggestions. You can launch the wave no matter where you are (i.e. browser, messaging, app, etc) and and can have the app drawer button on the wave.
Hell, without even using the wave aspect, if you just hold the hotspot for a sec (to launch wave) it'll automagically open app drawer! !!!! Pure awesomeness. Just thought I'd share and thank.

No help. Even with no lock, still lock screen wallpaper showed up. That's the reason why OP is saying two lockscreens.
Generally, any good application could replace the system UI without any side effects or problem. But something like lockscreen apps are not replacing the default stock lockscreen functions usually. I believe it's because it's so critical function on the phone and by replacing the core functions, it could bring the big trouble to the app developer.
One more issue is, compatibility issue once the stock rom is upgraded or modified. That's the reason why custom lockscreen developers are not touching system UI or app. I've seen lots of modified system apps are not running properly from the next or changed version. For many apps, by uninstalling and reinstalling it solve the problem. But for lockscreen app, if it's not working after any change, it means, 'now I have soft bricked phone'.

Crazy, didn't know that, thanks for the info! I guess it makes sense that you're messing with some pretty deep system stuff when you're tweaking the equivalent of an OS logon screen.
Haha, damn thanks for the wise words. I didnt know that either!
The only way I've found to fix this was by running a TSM mod and toggling the lockscreen toggle. But that's a temporary fix as the stock lockscreen eventually pops up(at random).
Disabling from the security menu only works in ICS, not GB. Another perk about ICS.

Apps In Lock Screen (question/idea)

I was thinking it would be nice to have full apps as options for the lock screen rather than just widgets. Just like I can pull up the camera from the lock screen by swiping to the left, I would like to choose an application for swiping to the right. For example I use the Google Play Music app a lot and would like to access it without having to (pattern/pin/etc) unlock my phone every time. I feel like it would be a useful feature.
What does everyone think?
PS. I can put up screenshots/images of the idea if my description is not clear.
Then you risk giving access to that app to anybody who picks up the phone, which may not be a big deal to some people. Even though people SHOULD realize that, some wont, and they would complain. It would then be called a "security issue".
I understand that but it would be up to the user's discretion what app they put there. I wouldn't care if people had access to my music app, just like I don't care about the camera app. Furthermore it would be nice if it was natively supported by Android so that app developers could implement settings for how apps behave when on the lock screen. This way we can curb some of the security issues by having the ability to disable certain features/sections of said app.

To hell with apps on lockscreen, lets put apps to buttons !

At what point does it cease to be a lockscreen anymore? I'd love a lockscreen with all of my apps, widgets and even access to the app drawer... Oh wait...

Using V10 Second Screen App Shortcut for Quick Popup Widgets

Using the app called Popup Widget, I'm able to quickly place any kinds of widget directly on the second screen, since we can easily move back and forth app shortcuts from the second screen and home screen, but that mainly applies to the stock launcher only, tried with Nova, but didn't work. Anyways, here's a video showing an example of creating widget and placing it into second screen and works fine.
https://youtu.be/mX-diQEANw8
The app is called Popup Widget, and can be found on the Play Store.
Credits @klark1kent for the idea of implementing custom widgets on the second screen using Zooper and Tasker apps. If you want, you can head over to his thread in the link below for an in-depth guide using Zooper Widgets
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v10/themes-apps/screen-custom-app-icons-widget-t3269726
Update: So, I've created a new video that actually allows you to add more icons/shortcuts to the second screen. So take a look over at the link below.
https://youtu.be/nuo0IAhwUR0
The app is called SiMi Folder Widget, and can be found on the Play Store.
You've been busy. How did you ever come up with this? Nice video though
Shame it doesn't work with Nova.

Usually what I'd do since you can easily toggle between different launchers via settings, just switch to the stock launcher, place it in then change back.

The idea was actually from your thread, so got to thank you for that idea that you actually came up, and I was looking around for other alternatives instead of using Zooper and Tasker, and Popup Widget sort of solves the issue for me. And also having to place any kind of widgets on your second screen really helps in situations where you wouldn't want to get kicked out of other apps, let's say if you are messaging and you want to quickly see some new tweets to freshen up.

That's exactly what I said in thr original thread. I used popup widget also but hey I'm happy you liked the idea and clearly I didn't create a guide initially because I wanted to get it out to the community as soon as possible anyway I agree the options are endless... The only thing about just using popup which I alluded to in the other post is that it wasn't working with other launchers and zooper allows you to create your own widgets and add them to popup instead of relying on system default widgets. Let's keep the innovations coming though but yeah I was surprised you essentially jacked the idea with zero credit. Thanks for making it right

I guess I did miss the part about Popup Widget and was sort of lost in the guide of yours so I was looking around for alternatives. My bad if I really missed out on my part but I hope you enjoyed the mini guide that I created, and shall give proper credits for you
Best app for v10 so far
Bumping for suggestions
Is Popup Widget the same as Popup Widget 2? Because I couldn't find any Popup Widget without a 2 next to it.

Is there a way to make popup widgets using the stock apps like favorite contacts and LG Health?
I haven't tried, but would think you could make a widget from Zooper, then use Popup widgets utilizing your custom zooper widget

As those are LG-based Widgets, which is lockdown only to stock launcher, Popup Widget can't recognize it as a proper widget, only universal ones work.
Hence sadly it's not possible to actually get those into the second screen.
