Pinning Apps? - Note 7 Questions & Answers

On my old device, there was a way to pin apps to not be closed when you did a "close all" or if you were to accidentally swipe one away to close it. Coming to this phone, I have close my music player several times, each time getting more frustrated than the last. I've searched and searched for a way to accomplish this, but the only thing I can find is pinning an app to where you cannot do anything outside of that app. I'm looking to pin an app (several, actually) to where it's unable to be closed.
This cannot be a proprietary LG technology, can it? If so, that blows. If not, what am I not seeing?

Widgets disappearing

Just got a Tab S 10.5 LTE the last week, and it's already the third time I'm going to factory reset, because this happens.
At a seemingly random point, widgets like Google search and AquaMail stop working (Tap here to restore, which won't work) and disappear from the widgets list. However rather than having 2 widgets under Google search, I now have one entry (Google Now). Same with AquaMail, only the 4x3 widget disappears, while the 1x1 one is still in the widgets list.
Rebooting won't help, either.
And that's the only thing I could notice anyway, god knows what else has gone missing. It's really frustrating.
I haven't messed around much, more than freezing a few proper bloatware crap, and installing xposed AdAway for Youtube. I'm sure if those are the culprits I'd be able to find similar issues googling, but nope.
Could it be caused by the new Nova version? But doubt so too, since I haven't seen any complaints about this.
It's really driving me crazy.
update: I read somewhere that it could be caused by some wrong permissions managing, and to use the Fix Permissions feature in TWRP. And so I did, and boy did it break the tablet lol. It's completely messed up, won't even let me delete a random file of mine. Yet another factory reset here I go

Hiding the HTC Connection Service notification

Hello,
I'm sure this may seem silly, but it's a genuine nuisance and I'm hoping somebody will be able to help me (and others) out here.
I have an M8S, though this probably applies to most HTC's, that is rooted.
I have my PC set up next to my TV, so one of my favourite apps is the excellent Unified Remote, however whenever I run this app, a HTC Connection services icon appears in my notification bar along with a drawer telling me that it is running. Not information I am that interested in to be honest, but then it won't go away.
I have tried disabling this notification from the app settings, but the checkbox is greyed out.
I have tried installing third-party notification blockers such as this and this, which work for maybe five minutes before it reappears. Again.
The problem is, once it appears, it stays for literally days. Even if I reboot. It returns. Force close. It returns. Eventually, it goes away, but only if I don't launch Unified Remote.
I am rooted as I said above, but I cannot install Xposed. I'm running the custom Pandora Rom and it caused a bootloop.
There must be a better solution. I hope you guys can help me out!
I eventually decided to use Lucky patcher and Disable/Freeze the app. Does anyone know what it is explicitly for? I can't find any information on it.
No ill side-effects so far, I'll update this post if I find any.
UPDATE: 48 hours and so far so good.

Anyone know a way to keep both apps active (foreground) in multi window?

I'm to play two games at the same time, but one becomes stuck until I tap it.
Is there any possible way I can make both actively in the foreground, or get around such a limitation?
I don't mind the battery loss, and I can do root, closed, magisk, not root, I'm willing to do anything to gain this ability.
Bump
No way.
This is a limitation of the Google Multi Window "solution" they forced on everyone. Thus Samsung for example had to dump their far superior variant for this. The app not used gets a PAUSE signal and if the app handles it that way you witness, then it's paused. Only solution I could think of is a custom ROM in which this pause is disabled.

Locking active apps

Someone said in another post (can't find it) that you can lock active apps when you swipe up and hold to get to all that are open. I've tried a bunch of things but can't seem to figure out how to do it again. I only get the garbage can to close them. Anyone can help?
Recent apps, swipe down to lock, up is to close.
That's what I thought, no longer works...up yes, down no...wtf
Rebooted, now working again..odd for sure, but thanks

Disable Notification Screen Wakeup?

Currently using the Note 10+.
Samsung messages app and specific other apps keep waking up the screen when there's a notification.
I have searched and tried every method that I have found so far and none of them work.
What am I missing here? Why is there no option to prevent ALL apps from waking up the screen upon a notification? How is it that certain apps like Samsung messages and Realtor (real estate app) and a few others keep waking up the screen?
AOD is on. I receive notifications from other apps perfectly fine and an icon will appear in AOD, but these other ones will wake the screen.
If you have screen saver on and you receive a message through the night, guess what, your phone screen will go into screensaver all night with the screen on.
I have to say I am amazed at the fact that this isn't an easy question to answer unless I'm missing something completely, and what's even more amazing is that this same question has been open LITERALLY since 2015 amongst other Android devices without a working solution.
If you know the answer to this, and I don't mean you kind of sort of want to suggest things, trust me I've taken every suggestion at this point to no avail, I mean if you TRULY know the answer to this, please chime in.
Suggestions like use other apps and whatever is not an option considering this happens to multiple apps and seems random meaning you can't keep replacing apps. Suggestions like turn off notifications entirely OBVIOUSLY is not an option.
My 2 N10+'s don't behave like this.
What OS version?
That 3rd party real estate app may have caused it. I don't allow trash apps on my phones because of multiple issues they can cause. Sometimes they will permanently alter hidden settings that will remain even after uninstalled. A poorly written app can cause a lot of trouble...
Clear system cache.
Try clearing lock screen data.
Check all notification settings... again, including lock screen, edge lighting and associated 3rd party apps (turn off background battery/data usage).
Try running it in safe mode at night to see if this stops it. If so, it's a likely 3rd party app.
Find the root cause otherwise it will likely reoccur if you do a factory reset... play with it.
