I need my MSL code can't call spring - Sprint LG G5 Questions & Answers

So I got an LG G5 from a friend in I've called sprint a bunch but they don't wanna help unless

Here is a guide from the old LG G2 days however it still works just fine for getting your MSL. You need the Basic Flasher method the dial code won't work. Use the current LG drivers. Check here. It's pretty simple to figure out.

Or you can use those websites that gives you an unlock code. They give you 3 codes one of them is the MSL. I used once for my G5 and it Worked.

Thx for the help

4.4.2 get MSL??

so after i updated i cant get my MSL with the dialer code. anyone know a way to get it now?? im having connection issues and i want to change my network order.
thanks for any help
Simple. Call sprint and ask for it. Just say you want to change your EVRC settings. If that rep wont tell you then hang up and call back. The next rep will. Then write it down cause it never changes.
sprint is being thier usual selves with this again, I called back numerous times and there is a "policy" with "criteria" now that must be met..if you call and have no luck, there is an apk here that I used to get it on my S4 and it worked like a champ.. couple links

or you can search on "spcutility.apk" there are few more threads around with it linked too
Try this..
This dialer code ##443336772# will flash a toast notification on the bottom of the screen with your SPC/MSL code.
The dialer code didn't work for me either. The way I got it was by following this guide:

Hope this helps

The dialer code will not work on 4.4.2. Nor will the spcutility.apk. One way to get the spc is by downgrading to zv8/zva ( you need to have diag mode enabled though) and using the above dialer code.
Oh, I'm on 4.2.2. Guess they're locking things down tighter than Fort Knox in 4.4.2
Thanks for the heads up.
New Method
I just found a new method of getting my MSL/SPC. I'm on a Sprint G2 and on the latest 4.4.2 update.
This method requires CDMA Workshop.
1. Put phone in download mode (vol up and power button)
2. Use CDMA Workshop's security tab to write SPC to 000000 using LG method.
3. Reboot. ##3424# does not even ask for SPC now.
4. Use CDMA Workshop's security tab to Read SPC using LG method.
5. Use CDMA Workshop's security tab to write SPC to 000000 using LG method.
Hope this helps!

That only works if you can get Diag enabled which requires MSL/SPC so, not really helpful unless you already have what you are looking for
Custom Launchers
Not really. Using nova launcher you can directly go to the enable/disable diag mode screen. Hope this help. Just figured it out yesterday. Doesn't work some times though. Tried again and finally did

[Q] Can bad esn sprint LG G2 be sim unlock

a friend of mine gave me a bad esn sprint LG G2 that he bought off on craigslist. It has the ZVE firmware and I succesfully rooted it using stumproot. I install all of cloudyFa's roms on it, but for some odd reasons it won't pick up my tmobile simcard. I go to "phoneinfo" and no matter what I switch it to from WCDMA preferred to GSM only etc.... it just keeps saying "emergenc calls only" So i'm wondering if it's because of the bad esn that's keeping it from recognizing my Tmobile sim card. Anyone can help me?

Try a regular unlock on the device first.
regular unlock?
when you say regular unlock do you mean have the device unlock through Sprint first? I don't think Sprint will give the unlock code because the Sprint LG G2 has a bad esn. If what you mean by regular unlock refers to modifying the software then unfortunately that is something I'm not really good at, but I'm a risk taker - I don't mind attempting to do the regular unlock even if the bad esn sprint Lg g2 gets messed up in the process. Is there anyway at all for you to show me how to do the regular unlock? I saw in another topic about using Rom Toolbox lite to change some stuff, but when I install the Rom Toolbox lite app I have no idea how to use it - it's all very confusing.

I went to the link as you suggested and I downloaded the file that you provided, but it would not let me copy the folder carrier. I follow all the directions that was provided on the link, but when I check the carrier folder on the phone I notice there are only two folders. While the carrier folder on the TotalCMD folder had like 6 folders plus a file.
Hmm, not being a gsm user, I am not sure. Was there any information in the thread of someone else with the same issue.
One thing I think they didn't say was you have to be on zv7 or zv8. Unless further in the thread it says other wise. Still reading.

when I was handed the bad esn sprint LG G2, I checked the firmware and it was on ZVE firmware then I used LG Flash Tool and downgraded it back to ZV8 firmware. I have successfully rooted it also now on the ZV8 firmware. My brother-in-law has a sprint LG G2 and his work for tmobile, but only thing is his Sprint LG G2 has a clean esn/imei and mine don't. So i'm assuming mine is not working because of the bad esn. Oh well I will keep on trying and figuring out how to make it work.

[Q] How to unlock LG G2 Sprint for International GSM carriers using MSL code

Hi Guys,
I got a good deal for LG G2 Sprint in Swappa. The seller said that it can be unlocked easily with MSL code for INTERNATIONAL use.
I have the MSL code with me now, but don't know where to plug in or what to do with it. On inserting my native country's (Indian) SIM card, getting "NO SERVICE" message.
Is there any easy way to unlock Sprint G2 for international carriers alone using MSL?? Can you help me out....
Currently running LS980ZVG with build LRX22G

I am in a similar situation. after receiving the phone i noticed the network options were available for selection but then i updated to lolipop 5.0.2 and now the network options are watermarked. I have rooted and followed instructions to add property folder to carrier, add apns-conf.xml to etc folder and deleted the 2 recomended files but they keep returning. after dialing ##DATA# in APN settings i am not able to make any changes. inserted my sim and it says invalid card.
any help?

Need my MSL

So I got an LG G5 from a friend who worked for Otterbox, he had a bunch of credit built up there so when he quit he got some phones and gave one to me. I was able to get it unlocked without TOO much hassle but didn't realize I needed an MSL code to change the APN to work with my network. I've called sprint a bunch but they don't wanna help unless I have a Sprint phone number. What can I do? I really don't wanna have to use this great phone without Data or MMS...
Probably need to go into a sprint service cebter and ask politely for the msl
Sent from my LGLS992 using XDA Premium HD app

Hit me up on kik CB6767 I can give you your msl, I have access to all that info
Hi, i send u a Kik msg, thanks!
I have an MSL code but now way to add an APN from APN menu
If you know someone who has a sprint account, have them activate your phone online and then just swap back to their phone.
They will get an email with the MSL code for "manual activation" - kinda handy.
ya i was gunna say if u have an extra sprint phone just log into mysprint account. activate the extra phone then u can activate the g5 back and when it comes to t he congratulations screen it will tell u the activation code and say u may need this. that is the msl. keep in mind u have to give it some time to swap back and forth because the sprint database has to update and all. usually if u try and do it right away u get an error because the original phone is still showing up on the screen.
u shouldn't need the msl code to add apn though. i unlocked my sprint g5 and added the att apn through the normal settings menu and it saved it just fine. u have to look at the other data settings though and allow gsm i think.

I want to unlock Samsung note 2 .Is it possible ?

I want to unlock Samsung note 2 .Is it possible ?
Hi.
Did a quick search through google and offcourse there are several that claim to send an unlock code for a fee. With a previous phone I made a so called 'gold card'. That is a special made micro sd card that providers use to unlock with your emei code injected and when inserted it will unlock your phone. Providers use an application for this. This was with my Htc Desire HD that I had before my Note 2. Not sure if it still works the same these days. For my previous phone I was lucky and found the right tools to do this. I think it requires a lot of internet searching to scramble the right unlock code for free.
Seems that it works different now...
Watched some youtube video's and they pull up a 'secret menu' for provider settings. In the comments it seems that the dial pad code to enter this menu is different with the branding of the phone and when the code works the menu settings are also different with the version of android.
So you can try to find a secret menu code that works on your phone. If a guide is for a specific android version you probably also have to downgrade to a different stock version through odin. I saw a lot of complaints in the comments that a tutorial is not working for everybody. Try to find a tutorial that matches your phone or try to make your phone as it is in the tutorial. Watch several tutorials and follow the steps that work. Try to make it fool proof for yourself so you don't brick your phone.
Sorry, I don't have a definit answer for you.
Good luck.
What is the exact model # of the Note 2. You can find the model # in download mode.
