HOMTOM Launches HT10 flagship smartphone on market featuring the second generation iris recognition technology, the same as used in the Samsung Note 7 to unlock the phone.
Homtom HT10 provides a True Sense of a "Global 4G Network" as the frequencies of the HOMTOM HT10 cover all the continents around the world.
We have a video of the HT10 iris recognition unlock real test, to compare with the eye-print ID unlock which the vivo x5 pro and zte axon a2015 is using. From the video you can see the HOMTOM HT10 when unlocking is faster, more accurate which you can unlock when you have glasses, and can be unlocked when you are in a low light environment.
Compared with fingerprint or TouchID, the iris recognition can be more convenient in different environments. For example, cold day make it uncomfortable for you to take off the gloves to unlock your phone by fingerprint, or after finishing work out, sweat causes your phone incapable of reading your touch ID. Moreover iris recognition gives higher level of security than the Touch ID.
As a unique blend of technology, art and design,HOMTOM HT10 adopts the Titanium magnesium alloy edges with CNC craft, same as aeronautical metal, thus presenting a stylish, elegant and exquisite appearance to users.
With back 21 MP Sony camera and front 8MP Homtom HT10 enables to capture sharp details of our daily life.

Specification of HT10 21 MP back camera shows clearly that HOMTOM HT10 Sony camera has the Maximum HD resolution 2.1MP.
There is a confusion between HD and megapixel cameras. Historically, everyone who sold cameras with 1 million pixels or more called them megapixel cameras. HD is a type of megapixel camera. All HD cameras are megapixel but not all megapixel cameras are HD. Any camera with a resolution of more than a million pixels is by definition a megapixel camera.
HD is defined by specific resolutions at specific frame rates with a specific aspect ratio.
Maximum HD resolution is 2.1MP, maximum megapixel resolution is 20MP
HD video format is 1280 x 720
FHD 1920 x 1080 (megapixel cameras can offer many more formats).
1MP (720p) 2 MP 1080P
HD refers to cameras with a standardized resolution of 720p or 1080p. The numbers 720 and 1080 refer to the horizontal resolution. Therefore, 720p HD camera resolution provides images that are 1280 x 720 pixels (that adds up to 921,600 pixels, which means a 720p HD camera is not technically a megapixel camera), and 1080p HD cameras provide 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution, or 2.1 megapixels. The HD video format also uses an aspect ratio of 16:9 (rather than 5:4 or 4:3), and the frame rate is standardized at 60, 50, 30 or 25 frames per second (the fps depends on your TV).
If you care more about high frame rate and maximum image quality HD cameras will be better than megapixels

I hear there are many problems with the quality of photos. Generally it seems an overpriced model with many problems.

Anyone ported TWRP to this?

LeEco Le Max review, best phablet your money can buy....!!

Hello guys, I am Rakesh, a tech blogger. This is my review about the LeEco ( formerly known as LeTv ) Le Max #Superphone which is said to be one the best phablet available on sale in India. The device is manufactured by the global internet giant LeEco which has an online platform with content, devices and applications.

The handset is priced at Rs 32,999/- and LeEco claims they are selling these devices at a price which is below the production cost. This is possible because they’ve partnered with various companies for their ecosystem. For now, they have partnered with Eros Entertainment and YuppTV. Also, every phone comes with 1 year worth YuppTV Premium for free.
Design and display:
The LeMax is unquestionably a good looking handset that is particularly great for those who want at a really big screen device. Its metal body gives it a premium look and feel, and the phone seems sturdy.
The front of the phone particularly looks spectacular due to the edge to edge running display, with very thin bezels. LeEco has smartly played with the front design, as you will not be able of notice the narrow bezel on side of display until you wake the screen up.
This makes the display look even bigger and the front look pretty, speaking of display quality, the 6.3-inch display with 2K resolution with 2560x1440 pixels display is a visual delight and absolutely stunning. It reproduces colours well and offers good viewing angles.
Bottom side of the phone is home to USB Type C port and speakers and the top has a slot for audio jack. The left and right sides have power key, volume keys, Wi-Fi HDMI port, and slots to accommodate SIM card.
Fingerprint Scanner
If you have big hands then you won’t face any problem in reaching the fingerprint scanner placed at the back of the phone below the primary camera. The fingerprint scanner is fast and can be used to capture photos as well.
More and more apps coming up with support for Fingerprint Scanners will make the Fingerprint Scanners more useful than they already are adding an extra level of security to the apps as well, especially apps from which you carry out monetary transactions.
Chipset, RAM, Storage.
A good display needs some good horse power to push all the those pixels, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 seems to be a worthy contender. The Le Max sports a 2.0 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 810 chipset with the Adreno 430 running the graphics and the multi-tasking handled by the 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM module. Internal storage for our review unit was limited to 64GB and the smartphone does not pack in support for external storage.
During our hands-on, we noticed no lag whatsoever while browsing, opening apps and even multi-tasking.
OS, Connectivity:
Keeping the content services in mind, LeEco has done a good job with the software. Our hands-on with the device showcased software that allowed for plenty of customisations. the Le Max runs Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with the EUI (Eco User Interface) skinning that delivers plenty of useful touches that can be found throughout the UI. Like for example, the keypad grid for the lockscreen will show up on the right or the left side, depending on where you swipe up to unlock.
LeEco has literally packed in everything it could find. You get a MHL 3.0, USB Type C, 3.5mm audio jack, Wireless HDMI, 4G bands, WiFi 802.11ac/a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 with APT-X, GPS, an IR blaster and finally NFC.
Camera:
The Le Max sports a 21MP primary camera with a dual-tone LED flash on the back and an 4MP front-facing unit for selfies. The 21MP rear-facing unit packs in a Sony IMX230 Sensor, OIS, f/2.0 aperture and even dual ISP support. The 4MP unit up front comes from OmniVision (OV4688 sensor) and is accompanied by a 81.6-degree wide-angle lens.
Battery
The LeEco Le Max sports a non-removable 3400mAh battery. Somehow we all felt that it was a bit small considering its mammoth size, but it can be attributed to the device’s weight, which is why we think it was justified. Anything bigger than a 3400mAh battery would have certainly made the large Le Max a heavyweight indeed. How long it will last, we can only confirm after our detailed review.
LeEco Le Max specifications:
• CPU: 2.0 GHz Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor
• RAM: 4 GB
• GPU: Adreno 430
• Operating System: EUI 5.0 based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop
• Display: 6.33-inch 2K (2560 x 1440 pixels) LCD display
• Rear Camera: 21 MP auto-focus with Dual LED flash, Back-illuminated Sensor (BSI) and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS)
• Front Camera: 4 MP
• Internal Storage: 64 GB
• Connectivity: 2G, 3G, 4G, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi Direct, MHL 2.0, IR Blaster
• SIM: Dual 4G SIM (Micro + Nano)
• Other: Fingerprint Scanner, Le Hi-Fi Audio, Dolby DTS
• Battery: 3400 mAh Li-Poly non-removable battery
Verdict: At a price of Rs 32,999, LeEco Le Max smartphone is no doubt an excellent phone. It delivers very good overall performance. The mobile comes with sharp display, great camera, good built and decent battery backup.

Elephone P20 will kill Oneplus 3?

I have found the amazing news, elephone will release the other high-end smartphone in P series, it's Elephone P20, this is the first time i heard about this new smartphone. It's said Elephone P20 will be amazing to come with Helio P20 processor, RAM 6GB. Right now, RAM 6GB smartphones are very rare, so Elephone p20 will lead to the new times of RAM 6GB smartphone. I have nice idea to compare Elephone p20 with Onpelus 3, so which one will be powerful?

6GB of RAM, WOW..they are aiming big this time. It sounds awesome, I cant wait to see it.
Elephone rocks
This is cool
Looks nice, hope is cheap too.
very good phone
which is the better Soc overall ? p20 or x25? why?
Is that amount of RAM really necessary? How much of it will you actually use on your phone. Even with the 3GB or 4GB ones, I personally rarely see full usage even with so much customization and other apps installed. So now they've gravitated from "who has the largest screen size" to "who has the most ridiculous amount of RAM (what you will never fully utilize)"
Asides from my mini rant on RAM size, the phone itself looks decent and so do the other specs.
Another article from the OP's review just came out yesterday: http://www.igeekphone.com/elephone-p20-smartphone-will-feature-ram-6gb-no-bezel-usb-type-c/
This is their second bezel-less phone that they released, the first being the Elephone S3 (which I own). WARNING there is a flaw in the S3, which I am guessing will also show up on the P20, and that is..... the simcard tray only supports: Tray 1 (Micro SIM) & Tray 2 (MicroSD OR Nano Sim). The OR is the big problem in my opinion....why would they make it "dual sim" but have it crippled like that? Could they not have made contacts for the MicroSD coming from the top and contacts for the Nano Sim coming from the bottom, so that both could be utilized simultaneously? That just baffles me
Powered by F1.7 large aperture from Elephone P20
Basic parameters of P20 has been exposured by Elephone shortly before.
Not only huge 6GB RAM and huge CPU of Helio P20, which can attract user's attention,
but also for the F1.7 large aperture
So what is outstanding of F1.7 large aperture?
Some photos taken by camera of a brand smartphone which is also applied with F1.7 large aperture.
It's not hard to see that the BlurBitmapEffect of pictures shot with F1.7 aperture is quite obvious, and more lights are provided by the naked environment.

Elephone P20---6GB, super large RAM,forget about the frame backlag .
Elephone P20 is not only the first elephone that runs 6GB RAM, but also one of the not-so-many smart phones
powered by 6GB RAM available in the market.
Elephone 6GB RAM adopts the principle of dual channel memory, which makes a change on the normal single channel memory.
The larger RAM in a phone is ,the more smooth using experience.Namely is , users can get more faster sufing on the apps, can
watch 4k high definition videos more smoothly, no pressure at multi-windowns at all. Got nothing to worry aboutthe operation
smoothness.
CPU Clock Speed can be up to 1866 MHz,it improves the band width by 70%,while reduces the power consumption by 50% .
We also know before that Elephone P20 equips with Helio P20 chipset, runs at android 6.0 system, protected by full metal body with
a 5.5" FHD display screen. 12 MP rear camera with f 1.7 super large aperture

X25 is better... X model is the eXtreme version. P is the Power version, so, it's a less powerful chip using similar architecture, that, being less powerful, uses less energy and it's cheaper.
P10 was based on X10 and now P20 is based on X20. In the meantime, X25 got released and it is an improvement over X20.
Looking at the specs of X25 here:
Built at 16nm, CPU with [email protected] + [email protected] + [email protected] and GPU is Mali-T880 running at 850MHz
Specs of P20 here:
Built 16nm, CPU with 8xA53, up to 2.3GHz (4 will be slower, no indication how much). GPU is Mali-T880 at 900MHz

Leaked News:
LEAGOO T10 – Everything You Need To Know Before its Release!
At last, Leagoo top-notch is just warming up for it’s release as the company’s first high-en! phone.
We have seen Leagoo providing smartphones around the globe, whether it’s a rugged or non-rugged, plastic or metal. So what’s next for Leagoo? What’s missing? Well, we have never seen Leagoo competing in the high-end section. But, soon the dream of the enthusiasts will turn into reality as the manufacturer is looking forward to stepping in the intense top-tier section with the upcoming release of Leagoo T10.
Leagoo T10 – The Details You Need to Know
Leagoo has been generous to the audience regarding hardware and features. The examples are in front*of like M5 Plus, T1 and now T10. Like we said previously, Leagoo T10 is the company’s first attempt to forge a top-end beast and that’s why it’s Leagoo’s backbone and the ultimate flagship of the year 2016.
Design & Appearance
Leagoo T10 seems to be the*younger brother of T1, as not only the names accord but also the designs*are somewhat similar. For a much premium experience, Leagoo T10 forged from metal and in fact has an*all*Metal Unibody*layout.
The only change in the appearance of T10 from T1 is the shifting of LED flash from the center to an upgraded dual LED flash to the top left. Plus, T10 is 1mm thicker than T1 because of the hardware and battery.
Hardware &*Configuration
Even though Leagoo T10 is identical to T1 (in design and appearance) that doesn’t mean the configuration will be the same. What’s under the hood is truly incredible and the principal selling point of the terminal. We experience the presence of Helio X20, a deca-core processor*as the heart of flagship beating at the frequency of*2.0GHz. The name ‘T10’ matches the 10 cores and tri-cluster design of Helio X20 perfectly. It is further accompanied by 4GB RAM*and*32GB*internal storage with the expandable option via Micro-SD card (up to*128GB). The phone*cherishes with the*Dual SIM*support along*4G+*network support.
What’s more interesting is that Leagoo has broken the tradition of introducing standard 5.5-inch HD screens in its smartphones, as we have a stunning 5.7-inch screen with Full-HD resolution. The rear camera remains the same with*13MP (Samsung Sensor, 5P lens)*with PDAF. Meanwhile, the front one has been upgraded to*13 MP (Sony Sensor, AF PDAF, 4P lens)*from 8MP when compared to its ancestor.
There are some untouched features as well including the*rear fingerprint reader with a response time of 0.19 secs (Fingerprint ID 3.0), Smart gestures,*Gyroscope. The T10 smartphone runs on*Leagoo 2.1 OS*based on Android 6.0. At last, a*massive 3500 mAh*Li-Polymer, non-removable battery powers the flagship and charges in almost no time with the*USB Type-C 2.0 interface.
Release Date & Price
A fixed date has not been announced for the launch of Leagoo T10. But, the manufacturer hints that T10 smartphone is expected to hit the market in late November or in December. The price is also not officially stated, but it will probably be lower than $200 with those high-end specs. All we can do is wait till its release.

THOUGHTS ::
First and foremost let me start off by saying the finish on the silver MIX is stunning, when I first removed it from the box I was taken back... the mirror finish isnt something you come across often and it looks great. I will admit it is a finger print magnet, gorgeous nether the less.. definitely worth the upkeep.
The MIX's price point is definitely targeting the low end market, I've found it being sold generally around the $200 USD mark. Which I think is definitely a fair asking price for the device you receive. Obviously purchasing a device in the low range market your not getting all the bell's and whistles and that's to be expected.. however the Doogee MIX brings alot to the table.
Obviously the design is heavily inspired by the Xiaomi MIX and that's a good thing because the Doogee MIX looks great! The bezel-less screen really give's the device a premium feel. I've had no issues with one hand operation and I think the device is appropriately proportioned.
Now let's move onto the software, the Doogee MIX is running FreeMe OS.. for the most part I've enjoyed this android flavour. The UI is not heavily modified its nice and simple, the default launcher supports themes, little to no bloatware, OTA software updater. Includes everything you could possible want or need out the box. However there are a few minor bugs, I have brought these up to Doogee so I am hoping they will be resolved in a future software patch.. overall it's been a very positive experience, the bugs include the following:
Battery usage disabled in settings.
Battery percentage doesn't change colour according to light / dark text.
Android system webview refuses to update in the playstore.
Few minor translation errors in the settings app.
I'm not the biggest fan of the camera app, I really would like to see the UI revamped.. switching modes is a little clunky. However the camera does take decent photo's, I must say. There is little to no video stabilisation so that could definitely be improved. Overall all for a budget phone, it's pretty good... here's what the camera app looks like:
You can find some images I captured with the MIX below, I think they came out pretty good.. I was impressed.
The dual cameras don't operate as you might think, the secondary camera is used only in "blur" mode.. which as the name suggests blurs out the surrounding background of the image to increase focus on the subject.. I really feel like this was a missed opportunity, I really wish they did something more with the dual cameras. The blur effect can easily be done with software, really doesn't need a second camera to do so.
Ah of coarse the fingerprint scanner, almost forgot to mention this.. the finger print scanner is positioned on the front of the device on the bottom bezel. It doubles as a home button when the device is unlocked. In terms of accuracy its pretty good ! I personally don't use fingerprint scanners, I find them annoying... however it worked good in my tests, very accurate.. could be a little faster tho in my opinion.
Being a developer I naturally immediately requested kernel sources, Unfortunately tho Doogee have yet provided them.. which is a real shame because I have a working TWRP recovery for the device already, however unfortunately touch is not enabled in recovery. The only way to fix this is with kernel sources.. for the time being I have been using a OTG cable with a mouse to navigate TWRP. I really hope to see kernel sources release in the near future.
Overall my experience with the MIX has been positive, it does have a few quirks I must admit.. but considering how cheap the phone is they are easily excused. Performance is pretty dam good, camera is definitely adequate for photos, FreeMe OS is a really clean android flavour. Obviously sacrifices are made when purchasing budget phones... is it fair to compare the Doogee MIX to phones that cost double it's price ? Absolutely not...

With its design, the Huawei Y7 Prime (2018)has a similar design cues to other Y(2018) series as well as the P Smart. It has a unibody design, a shiny mirror-looking back, and metallic chrome side. it doesn’t look like a budget device at first glance because it has a premium looking feel. On paper, it’s a fairly large device due to the display with its 18:9 display.
the Huawei Y7 Prime (2018) has a 5.99-inch 720 x 1440 pixels (~269 ppi density) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Just above it are the 8MP front camera, soft light, speakerphone, and sensors. On the left, there is a triple card tray for dual sim and dedicated SD card. On the right we have power/lock button and volume rockers. And as usual, the 3.5mm jack, microphone, primary speaker, and micro usb port are at the bottom.
I'm very disappointed with its camera features. This phone has the same camera with the Huawei P Smart and yet it lacks in punch as well as camera features like pro mode, portrait shot, and night shot. Thus, this phone lacks gyroscope sensor so it will never support EIS.
Here are the Roll Spec-sheet:
