Which custom rom supports motorized camera rotation? - Oppo N3

A bit of searching, it seems there's none, right?
Thanks...

[Q] Why cm7/AOSP roms cant auto focus camcorder?

Hi all,
I just tried ALL 2.3 gingerbread roms including cm7, redux, oxygen, amethyst etc. but none of them seems to have auto focus in camcorder
Why not?
Is this so hard to fix?
Greetings,
someone ??
I'd like to know if this could be done also. I'm using a mt4g and usually focus the camera first then switch to camcorder. Would be easier if the camcorder autofocused like stock though.
Yes, I was looking for the same thing! Of the camcorder " touch to focus " option that was earlier available was also very nice.
Is it not possible for gingerbread?

[Q] CM7.1 720p Camera?

I have settled on CM7.1 as what appears to be my most stable ROM to use for most things. It's fast, has nifty mods that I don't find in Sense roms. What is missing is 720p recording. I have searched and found threads wondering if it's coming, but nothing new since last Spring.
I have used LGcamera on the Sense roms with no problem setting to 720p. Doing so in CM7.1 leads to the app crashing. Is this because something in the Kernel or camera driver barfs when trying to use this res?
Is there another camera app that is capable of 720p, or do I need to go back to one of the Sense roms for this?
Many thanks,
TJD
no 720p for cm7, source hasn't been released so u either stick with sense roms or use obsolete cm6
No, men cm 7.1 one of the best roms for all divices in this phone cant use 720p, the only way tu get it is downgradin to cm6 or a sense rom soory

[Q] Camera quality CM(JB) vs stock

Hi everyone,
I am considering 'upgrading' my HOV to CM10.1 or AOKP, but I am wondering if the new mods really effect the quality of the onboard camera? I know that the One series all has the HTC imagesense processor, and I was wondering if the newer kernels affected the quality of the camera at all? I enjoy the quality of the camera on stock greatly, so I was wondering if there was a big difference or if anyone did any comparisons?
Thanks!
ps - sorry if this has been asked before, I've searched and come up with nothing...
Stock camera is the best. It's the only reason why some people revert back to stock after trying out JB
stock camera > cm9 > cm10 > cm10.1 even tho cm10.1 camera doesn't work yet... lmao

I didn't quite get it.
I am wondering, does JB roms use HTC's ImageSense? If not, does those Sense based ROMs use ImageSense, as they use the stock camera, right?

The non-Sense based ROM's don't use the ImageSense chip ( or use it in the same way as stock ). I've Tried SupremU and mySenseV both seem to use the stock camera app and abilities. The CM10/etc use the cyanogen(?) camera, it cannot do the burst or capture during video, I had very little luck getting it going smoothly in CM10, video modes autofocus is wonky too
I did some searching to see if the Stock camera app could somehow be brought into CM10, but from what I could find it appears that the answer it no.. my guess is it's a kernel module needed + a bunch of Sense bits and pieces.
to me the quality seems about the same, but I have noticed that non-stock cameras on our HOV are slower at actually taking the picture, but that could be the settings? idk but I like stock camera, but not enough to switch back to sense... mostly because it makes me use a pin or passcode or pattern to unlock because of the wifi type at my school... it gets annoying

So, when i use this ROM?

I have ImageSense in use, as it has the stock camera app, right? (which is the best for me) I really like ImageSense, autofocus in video is great with it and pictures too.

Yup that you do It's the one I've been running this week and it appears to be going quite smoothly.

[Q] Custom ROMs and Image Sense

Well, most of us here have custom ROMs for sure. But one of the reasons we love the phone is it's fabulous camera. The ImageSense chip makes the camera app take some really amazing pictures. I bet there's a lot of post-processing going on. Some quick googling suggests that the stock camera app can't be ported to custom ROMs. But having the ImageSense chip do the post-processing would really make a difference. All those burst-mode images, vivd photos and quirky real-time effects really need it. I was wondering if the stock Jelly Bean camera app or any other camera app uses the chip to it's fullest.

LG G4, cm/aosp and camera quality like vs stock?

Looking at moving from a G3 to a G4 and wondered, for those that are running a cm or aosp based ROM, what's the quality of the pictures like vs those taken with a stock ROM?
Thanks
My opinion
Well i used diffrent custom ROMs (CM, Blisspop,) and stock ROM, and by my experience i think stock rom produces better pictures, i dont know why or how or if stock really produces better pictures, but thats just my opinion. would like to hear experiences from more veteran CM based rom users.
Normally cm/aosp camera are not as great as stock.
My last phone(LG Optimus G) had the same issue but when Devs started to implement the stock drivers from camera into cm/aosp then the quality was almost the same as stock.
Don't know how devs are working here because i have the phone only for 2 weeks but for what i see the biggest "problem" is the way to unlock the bootloader.
It seems LG just made a step back with this phone in terms of development.

Stock camera is definitely better - you could use other camera apps like "Camera FV-5" or "A Better Camera" for better results with CM/AOSP based roms.

- Can't use shutter speeds longer than 0.5s with 3rd party cameras even on stock firmware. That is quite a drop from the 30s stock can do.
- Some examples i saw showed that auto in low light does not work well at all. Max ISO which is something that never happens in stock auto.
- How do they get access to use the colour sensor & laser auto focus.
- what resolution is CM burst mode (9MP stock) & CM panorama (can be in excess of 100MP with stock) etc.
- night shot which is a mode automatically used in low light with the rear camera that employs image averaging is lost. Night shot mode is used much more often with the front camera. So selfies are not going to be as crisp.
- unclear whether unlocking the boot loader causes any permanent loss to the above.
I've not even seen full resolution examples from cm camera just reduced resolutions. So cannot tell if sharpness of details in the distance is retained or not.
Early days, we'll have to see how it goes. There's a lot of testing that remains to be done to even begin to answer the OP's question.
If you want CM that bad get a device that runs it out of the box. Wiley Fox swift is one example.
Thanks for this post, I was wonderful the same question.
What is the current situation, for exemple with snap camera designed for G4?
Thanks to anyone for an update answer!
Snap Camera does a great Job, since codeworxx startet to work on it. Besides the ui, that is not as individual as LG's, almost every feature from the stock cam is working (except high speed/slomo filming I guess). Picture quality is getting pretty close to the stock camera . I use it as a daily driver and I'm pretty satisfied with it.
