Grouped the best cases and accessories available for the ZTE Axon 7 - ZTE Axon 7 Accessories

I've gathered the best cases and acessories available for the ZTE Axon 7, here
https://android-repo.com/2016/08/27/best-cases-and-accessories-for-the-zte-axon-7/
Finding a decent tempered glass, i would say was challenging since the Axon isnt so popular yet, but this puppie seems to work ok!

The tempered glass looks promising, can i use it with a case? Or does the edges peels off due to the pressure exerted by the case ?

Thx for the link. I ordered the Skinomi Carbon Fibre set because of this. Dont mind buying that tempered glass, its absolutely terrible.
1. i had the golden one, its nothing like the phone´s natural gold color, it just looks terrible and cheap.
2. The sides peel off very quickly and the edges are not smooth, you cant even put the phone in your pocket without getting stuck on it. I had this even though i applicated the screen perfectly.
3. The protector is only adhesive on the edges, it comes off very easily
4. The phone sometimes does not detect your touch with this tempered "glass"
Good choice on the in ear headphones, but personally i prefer the Bose SoundTrue Ultra
Cant agree with the overear bose headphones though, the AKG K701 are far more superior (and cheaper!), but the cable is a pain in the a**. Huge connector which is almost as big as the phone itself, but the sound is not from this world.
Thanks!

Do you mean the Skinomi or TopAce screen protector?

this is the only screen protector without any reviews, good or bad. Keeping my eye on it.

TopAce. Cant say anything about skinomi yet. im waiting for the shipping

This is absurd that no one can figure out how to cut a piece of rectangular plastic to the correct size.
Do me a favor and upvote and/or comment at the new product request forum at bestskinsever.com (link below). At least we know that Mike can do a bang-up job -- he just needs to know that there is a need:

Quick review of CoverON (google B01IPO3PJK). I'm big fan of hybrid rugged cases and this is perfect. It has small rise on front and little bigger on back. It protects front screen and back camera perfectly. With clear case that you get in box I got vibrations because fingerprint scanned my leg, this case solves it. It makes phone little bigger and good protected. Corners are soft, sides are plastic. Buttons are filled with TPU and are easy to press. Got holes for mics, headphone jack, charger.
Only con that I found that back and sideways are little slippery on flat surface. Hand grip is perfect.
All in all who wants rugged case and don't mind phone little bigger recommended! I bought from Ebay for 13 dollars shipped little expensive but very good case.
Here are pictures (first 3 from ZTE, others from samsung s4)

I picked this case up as well. My only company about it is the silicone around the USB-C port is rather weak and doesn't fit well. I have a Spigen case in a similar style for my m9 and I didn't have this issue. For now it's a nice case but I'll be keeping an eye out for a better fitting case.

I bought one of those and it fell off in only a few hours. The halos are awful, but you can't see since the edges aren't clear. This screen protector is actually worse than others because no adhesive in the middle, so it comes off very easily and creates a halo rainbow effect in the middle of the screen. There was also a noticeable bowing of the screen protector whenever you tapped the screen because there's going to be a gap between the touchscreen and the glass. If you use a case, you may be able to prevent the sharp edges from cutting your fingers, but otherwise don't even bother. My experience with this was awful, I wouldn't wish this screen protector on my worst enemies.

Anyone found a case similar to the included clear TPU case that has more protection around the screen (bigger lip around the screen)?
http://m.ebay.ca/itm/New-Ultra-Thin...617423?varId=411017927173&txnId=1568928808001
I just received the above gray TPU case, and while the matte back is great, it has a smaller lip around the screen than the Axon's included case. When placed face down, the glass screen will actually rest on the surface, not the edges of the case.

I'm using a transparent slim hard case. It gives minimum protection but has a lip around the sides (very small) so the screen is not hitting the surface. I'm very pleased with it, and it ads grip to the device.

Slipgrip Car Mounts
I see that Slip Grip Car mounts have added car and bike mounts for the Axon 7 using various cases. Axon 7 mounts, using Generic Cases. I really like these mounts because they are custom made for a certain phone in a specific case. The ones I have used hold really well, even when off-roading in a Jeep or going over railroad tracks on my bicycle.
It's nice to see that they are supporting some of the A7 cases I have seen mentioned here.

This guy shows off 4 different cases.

This puts me in a difficult spot. I don't want to be the guy who says 'yeah, that should work' because I would feel responsible if it fails. I have been using these on my bicycle for years and I have only had one failure, which was completely my fault. It was a particularly rainy day and I wrapped my phone in a ziplock bag. The extra plastic made the phone bigger and the bag zipper was pressing against the release clasp. I could tell that it wasn't being held as snugly as normal, but I thought it would be good enough. When I hit about 37 MPH going down hill (in hindsight, perhaps I shouldn't have been going that fast on a rainy day), I hit a bump which dislodged my phone. Lucky for me, it was connected by a short charging cable that I had wrapped around the mount. The phone dangled upside down for a while before I even noticed.
The connection to the handlebar is very secure and the connection from the mount to the bracket is as well. The weak spot is the clasp that hooks around the phone in the middle of one side. With a large enough force, the phone can probably overcome the spring strength of the clasp and become dislodged, although I haven't seen this happen under normal circumstances.
I am not willing to say for sure that these will mounts will work flawlessly on a motorcycle, but they might. You should e-mail the guy at slipgripcarmounts.com and asks what he thinks. It seems like he custom-makes each order and so he might be willing to make a custom version that has a larger or longer clasp for you. Another option, for extra insurance, could be to loop a rubber band or piece of string around the base of the mount and connect it to the clasp to hold it closed in extreme conditions (although such a measure would obscure the middle of the display).
I hope this helps.

Ok sounds like it would work but like you say I will email the fellow to see what he thinks. I've been looking at normal mounts and there isn't that many custom made ones. I don't want just a generic one you know? Especially with a $400 dollar investment in it. Thanks for the reply!

Fits pretty snug!

I picked up a generic Chinese temper glass protector off ebay for around $3 shipped and it works okay.
I almost thought they sent me the wrong one because it does not completely cover the black portion of the screen, but does cover most of the actual visible screen portion. As have found out the slight curve of the screen (similar to the Note 4 IMO) makes it difficult for hard screen protectors to work.

Odd that it halos on the top and bottom yet those areas of the screen are flat. Is the adhesive on the glass protector just poorly applied?

Any Cases that Cover the entire frame?

Hi
I bought a oneplus one about 3 months ago and I absolutely love it however I dropped it a while ago and everything is fine but the frame area to the left of the charging port is completely jacked up :/ chunks of it are missing too...
I'm currently using the oneplus flip cover however it doesn't cover it up, so my question is: is there any light tpu/hard shell case that covers up the entire silver bezel, or at least the bottom of the phone so I don't have to look at this anymore xD. All cases I've seen so far leave a bit of the bottom frame exposed just enough so you can see the damage :'(
Anyone know any case that can cover it up?
Thanks!
I advise you to look for the "Diztronic" TPU case, covers completely the silver frame, following the contour of the screen. There's just a 1 cm spot where the frame is visible, at the bottom of the cover, near the hole for the USB cable, but in normal use is not visible. It's 6 months that I'm using this cover in combination with a tempered glass and I'm really satisfied.
Guess it all depends on what kind of protection you want. If you just want mild protection and to just cover the sides, then go with the tpu case. If you want heavy protection, I would suggest the Tudia Omnix Hybrid, http://www.amazon.com/TUDIA-Full-body-Protective-Protector-Resistant/dp/B00SO4XYHA . I have the Tudia case and it has taken a beating and protected the phone very well, even from some pretty high falls. Only con about the Tudia case, is that the front covers the sides of the screen a bit and prevents touch at the the very edges of screen. This can be a bit bothersome if using apps in full screen/landscape when you have to swipe down to exit full screen.

I totally agree, couldn't have said it better. Here are some visuals for you. I got the Diztronic case when I bought the phone, it has protected it from falling out a car, off the desk, and off a moderately high shelf. You can get a tempered glass screen protector off eBay, have to search a bit (TechArmor don't have one). I got one from user dreamlight2004 for around 5 dollars. I made the mistake of getting the OPO screen protector when i first got my phone and it went bad a month ago, a hard scratch from a key. Tempered glass protector looks so much better. Just loaded COS13, it should keep me busy until the OP3 gets announced - so far it's looking to be a really good phone (boo on the OP2 and OPX)

I agree, Diztronic bumpers are terrific.
I'm using this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rearth-Case-OnePlus-One-Folie-Ringke-Fusion-Schutzhulle-Cover-Tasche-klar-/121715293296?hash=item1c56cbfc70:g:gAUAAOSwT6pVt5tV And it is awesome. You can also print your designs for this case!
Ringke Fusion for me is great. It covers the OPO completly.
DO NOT BUY THE TUDIA CASE.
I bought it because I thought it looked pretty sweet. It's the worst case I have ever owned, and I have owned a few. Half the case is slippery nonsense plastic. You grab your phone "wrong" (by this I do not mean insecurely, but simply you happen to not have your fingers on enough of the case's rubber outline), it's like holding an eel.
The clips covering the audio jack and usb port are an absolute NIGHTMARE to open, and plugging in your charger for the night would realistically take three hands with 17 fingers each to manage in a reasonable timeframe. Good thing my audio jack's clip, after having been used exactly twice without even the slightest bit of the abuse it deserved, now no longer clips into it's crevice, and is permanently hanging out at a 30 degree angle. The pop-out clip on the back is nail ruining torture to get out, as is the rubber outline holding the front of the case, should you want to get this garbage off to see how far you can launch it through the air in rage.
I wouldn't use this piece of junk if they paid me.
I am using the TUDIA Dual-Layer case+a glass screen protector, which turned my One to a tank
I drop it way too often, but it still works flawlessly, so I can recommend this case. It also coverers the aluminum frame
I can rep the Poetic Case found here:
I took out the screen protector but I have been rocking the case for more than a year. It is kinda bulky but I have no worries about dropping it or tossing my phone on my desk. Also, It is kinda water resistant (with the screen protector). I have dropped like a glass of water on it and quickly cleaned it up with no harm

Just received the new Spigen case!

Long story short, buy this now! I'll answer questions when I can. Here are some pics of it in the phone in the mean time! Sorry about quality!
How does it feel in the hand? I prefer hybrid cases but if this doesn't have that rubbery, grimy feel that hold onto pocket lint I think I might bite the bullet and get it. It would be my third case do I want to make sure I'll like it before I buy it.

Great photos thanks. Compared to the Axon 7's included clear TPU case, do you believe this Spigen offers superior drop cushioning on the corners? Does the front lip offer greater stand off distance as well?
I'm starting to believe I'll have to run my Axon without screen protection, since every tempered glass protector I've seen has the halo issue...a large front lip on the case would be ideal.
Hey everyone sorry for the late reply! Been very busy.
I'd say it adds about...3 to 5 (5 for margin of error) millimeters to each side, and it does add a little weight. But, honestly the weights nothing really to write home about. If anything it's a sign of quality to me. I also like how much better it feels in hand compared to the stock case, this case is not at all glossy except for the carbon fiber parts and has a matte finish. The power button is textured on this case which is nice because I'm not use to the power button being below the volume buttons so I'm constantly locking my screen when I intend to use the volume. Why they ever decided that for this phone is besides me.
This case fits this phone like a ****ing glove. It's very tight. It's definitely more difficult to take off then the stock case that came with the phone and definitely fits it so much better too. I'd be confident dropping this phone FROM POCKET HEIGHT without anything detrimental happening to the phone. It also has about a...2? Millimeter lip that goes over the top of the phone as well.
I also added the kickstand as someone already mentioned. It did not come with the case.
Are the buttons a littler harder to push than the stock case? I feel like I'm always pushing them without even trying.
The Spigen case feels tight and sturdy so it offers better protection over the clear ones that came with the phone. Also, the Spigen adds bit more weight if you like that, but my pinky gets sore/tired after holding it for minutes. Maybe I am not use to it? These are my initial impressions.
Can we get a belt clip/clam case that works with it? I don't pocket my phones. Thanks!

I purchased the new Spigen case as well and it provides substantially better protection than the included clear case. The front lip is taller and the corners are thicker.
For reference I wear XL gloves and I find the phone still feels good in the hand with the case. I still prefer the bare feel and size of the phone but I'm not willing to risk that. And its significantly more comfortable to hold than my old Note 4 and its relatively thin case. It's also not a lint magnet but that comes at the cost of some grippiness. The included case is tackier.
I could do without the faux carbon fiber - not a fan of anything faux - but it looks better in person than I thought it would. If you can get it for $13 vs full price, I think its well worth it - protective without being completely overwhelming.
One question for me, is it easy to use the fingerprint scanner with this case?
One issue i have with the included case with the axon 7 is that its a pit hard to get my finger inside the cut out to hit the scanner... I have large fingers too

I find the Spigen case works well with the fingerprint sensor. I actually think it's easier to find and scan the sensor with the case guiding my finger, as the border of the case around the sensor has a nice slope towards the scanner.
I got mine a few weeks ago... great case. Feels way nicer than the stock one. I didn't like the rubber texture at first but its grown on me.
What I've noticed:
The indentation for the fingerprint scanner is a bit deep and I'm using the tip of my finger more than I was before. As a result, it didn't pick up every time. Re-scanning my fingers for it fixed the problem
It's become harder to find the NFC chip on the phone. My bluetooth headphones have an NFC tag to aid pairing. It seems to be harder to find the tag now.
Buttons on the side feel way nicer - it offers more resistance than without a case (too little resistance) or the stock one (still not enough)
Too bad i can't buy it at my country... Malaysia. Have to buy from ebay and shipping fees is way too expensive.

This is one of the outstanding features I've found with TPU: slick enough to effortlessly slide in and out of pocket, but slightly tacky/grippy in the hand especially if warm or humid. It's so grippy that I don't have to wrap my fingers around the sides of the phone: I can balance the back of the Axon 7 on my fingertips one handed, which allows me to reach the entire screen area with my thumb.
Maybe I could put some grip tape on the back of the Spigen case.
Honestly guys I received my Axon 7 yesterday with the Spigen case and I hate it. The power button and volume buttons are really sharp therefore it's uncomfortable to hold and because my right index finger is always on it when I hold my phone it hurts. You can see my skin dust on it lol and I'm 17. The charging port is also very sharp. I used the stock case and it's so much more smoother and easier to hold but I do need the spigen case. I might smoothen out the buttons or something.
I just got my Spigen case a few days ago. I had it for my OnePlus 2 and loved it, but this one is even better.
It barely adds width to the phone and feels great. Not slippery, but no rough edges. The power button has a notched texture so it's easy to tell it apart from the volume buttons. The camera/fingerprint/flash have perfectly sized cutouts.
This thing will definitely protect it from a pocket level drop. It's also easy to remove in case you want to swap a microSD/SIM or clean the phone.
By far the best case that will be made for this phone.
I just received this case and it so much better than the one that comes with the axon 7. I had the case that has a kickstand on my axon linked below. Let me tell you the spigen is better for drops it's actually thicker than what I thought. Also it has more lip protection than the kickstand case. This is premium feeling case that offer some nice protection.

Recommendations for a Slim, Soft-Touch TPU Case?

I'm a new Axon 7 owner and am currently searching for a case to use on this phone. The stock transparent case that comes with the phone is great but due to the fact it's a glossy plastic, it attracts a lot of grease from my fingers and feels dirty after a while. I also dislike it because the sweat from my hands will form into condensation on the back of the case. I also have a problem where the jack on my headphones (Audio Technica ATH-M50) is too large to fit in the hole provided.
I decided to purchase the Spigen 'Rugged Armor' case from Amazon after reading a lot of positive comments about it, but I have been left disappointed and debating whether to return it due to the sheer size and thickness that makes handling the phone (Which is already large enough!) incredibly difficult with small hands. The case does not add much friction despite the material used having a rubber-like appearance, and I actually feel more likely to drop the phone as a result of trying to fumble with the added size. As well as this, the cut-out for the headphone jack is still too small even though it's larger than the wider than the one seen on the stock case. I also find it a lot more difficult to access the fingerprint scanner due to the thickness of the case surrounding it. Another problem is that the case is quite difficult to put onto the phone and a lot harder to remove, to the point where it feels like i'm actually going to damage the phone by attempting to do this!
For my previous phone, a Lenovo ZUK Z2, I had a fantastic Nillkin 'Frosted Shield' shell case that was made from a soft-touch rubber-like plastic. It was very slim at about 2mm in thickness at most, and although it didn't offer much in the way of drop-protection, it did have a nice textured back and that increased the grip tremendously. So, despite the case not being able to protect the phone quite as much from being dropped, it didn't matter because the chances of dropping the phone in the first place were a lot less likely. I wondered whether there was something similar for the Axon 7, but instead in a TPU-style with the sealed corners, and the same thickness as the stock case that's included with the phone? Any recommendations would be most appreciated.

That looks nice, it's kinda like the old Sandstone Black finish on the OnePlus One. There was one similar to this on Amazon UK but I don't think it had the same texture to it. My only compliant with that one is that it isn't a TPU case which completely covers the corners, but on the other hand the sand texture probably adds a lot of grip to reduce the risk of it being dropped.
I'm currently looking into getting the J&D case from their official website. It's in TPU-form which covers the entire phone (Except from the power/volume buttons!) and has the textured soft-touch back I wanted. The only problem with this one is that the glossy plastic edges look a bit tacky in the pictures, but hopefully it's not as bad in person as it looks on the website. I have a discount code which knocks a subtle 15% off the price listed, so it might be worth a shot.
Looking into this now myself. The stock clear case will go yellow as they all do. Getting cheap see through black case as a temporary till I find a good one. I find the clear one a tad loose at the side.

Thanks. I'm mostly interested in the grip. I had a similar case from Amazon. fr but it was in fact quite slippery (it had a satin feel to it). Had to send it back.
The stock case that came with the Axon 7 is quite grippy but it is slowly going yellow.

Hey, have you received the case yet? Just wondering what you thought to it. If either you or @Sui77 could post a picture of it, that would be great as well. I'm still debating whether to choose this or the J&D TPU case that completely conceals the corners. I can't stand using the case which came with the phone much longer, as it's made from glossy plastic and attracts a lot of filth and grease. I imagine the ARTILVST case would be a lot better in this regard.

Yes I did. Or is ok, but not as grippy as I was hoping for. The original case provides more grip.
Some pics attached.

Thanks for posting those pictures! That's a shame to hear the grip wasn't as good as expected. I wanted something which provided more grip than the stock case, so maybe this isn't the right one for me. I also live in the United Kingdom and having the case shipped from Germany would make it more expensive in postage costs. It does look like a nice case but I am worried it might not offer much protection if the phone is dropped. I think the J&D case would perhaps be better because it has a soft-touch back and conceals all the corners properly.
I have that same Spigen case as above, an Incipio TPU case in smoked brown, and another thin "shell case". This thin shell offers zero protection in case it is dropped, making using one pointless , IMO.
The Incipio case is OK, but again thin and will show wear very quickly. The Spigen one is my favorite hands down, doesn't add bulk to the phone all ports easily accessable, and the edges offer good grip.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and opinions regarding the cases available for the Axon 7. It's interesting to hear how you found the Spigen case not to be bulky, because I found the opposite and returned it for that exact reason. I eventually purchased one of the cheap, plastic shell cases from AliExpress similar to the that in the pictures Joaste posted above.
My overall opinion on this case has been positive but it has worn on the edges and there are cracks down all four corners. As you mentioned, a shell case does not offer much drop protection but it's definitely better than not having a case at all and it does improve the grip quite notably. However, I wish it had a textured or 'Sandstone' back to help avoid grease buildup.
I am now looking for another case, but options in the UK are limited since the Axon 7 is not officially sold here.
I've been using my TPU smoke black case with a glass screen protector for a while and enjoyed that. I got fed up with the Poetic Revolution case because of the dry protector built into the front. It allowed dust and stuff in between the screen and protector. Tonight I stripped out the dry protector and put the case on with the glass protector still on the screen. Fits nice. I have a full coverage protector to fit and might see if it will work with the Poetic. Might need to trim the inner edges of the corners near the speaker grilles.
I've been using this Proworx case since right after I got my Axon 7, so for a bit over a year now. I wasn't super impressed when I got it so I figured I'd replace it as soon as I found something better or it wore out, but I'm still using it, which says something about it.
It isn't the slimmest, for sure, but it isn't as bulky as the Otter Boxes and whatnot that everyone with a non-cracked iphone seems to have. It protects very well - TPU around the edges, fully covering the corners (which is a must, in my eyes), polycarbonate back, enough of a lip on top to protect the screen if you set it down face-down, and the cut-outs and buttons are perfect. Good drop protection - I've "thrown" it onto asphalt, tile, and concrete without the phone getting a scratch. Also works well with the glass screen protectors we covered in another thread. Easy enough to put on and take off too, with no chance of the phone just falling out.
Again, not the thinnest, but not huge, and the protection is excellent. Plus they're cheap and come in multiple colors. And as is typical with cheap stuff manufactured in China, I've seen this same case under at least a couple of other brand names, CoverOn for one. For $5-$6 I recommend trying it - I like it enough that I pretty much never think about replacing it, even though it (a clear one) has yellowed a tad. After trying like 10 cases for my G3 and finding faults with each of them, I can say I like this one enough that I'll probably replace it with the same one, eventually.

I decided to order one of these in black to try out. Have been quite happy with my Spigen, but after installing this Proworx case yesterday, I think I am falling in love. Seems to offer enough protection, fits & looks nice, AND I kind of like how the buttons are a bit harder to push in, which actually prevents me from squeezing open the screen every time I try to pick it up. :good:

Quoting myself here.
Today I fitted the full coverage protector to my Axon 7 and it fits into the Poetic Revolution case nicely! Glad I stripped out the dry protectors in the Poetic cases. I've also now fitted a plastic protector over the glass one as a quick and easy tear off to sacrifice for wear and tear but the glass one makes the front of the phone flat. Even with two stacked protectors, touch works perfectly.
The picture is slightly misleading as the black section also covers the capacitive buttons so there's no indicator of position, but not being backlit anyway, it makes little difference.
Here's a quicky bunch of pics. I have a soft TPU smoky case, black Poetic Revolution and a blue/grey Poetic Revolution which can be mix and matched. Got a couple of little bubbles under the plastic protector and will fix that later, or just remove it. Looks good with just the full coverage glass one.
If anyone is looking for a slim case I just picked up a Bear Motion Sand from eBay. Best case I've had so far for my A7 and I've tried quite a few. Feels like my OPO did.

Been using this one for over 6 months now with out any issues , not as bulky as it looks and the stand is useful . I also have a full body clear skin from clear-coat that fits superbly, clear-coat has various outlets through the UK and installs as you wait , is a bit pricey at £30 for the full skin .
I work in the building trade so need it well protected .

Google Fabric Cases

Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on the fabric cases available on the google store ? Do they collect lint or dust ? unlike a plastic case do they grip to your pockets when reaching for your phone ?
The fabric cases have a little bit of friction but not enough that it catches or makes it difficult to slide in/out of pockets. When you look at the oils and fingerprints on other cases just remember that your fabric case is actually absorbing most of that. Just because you can't see oil, dust, and dirt that it doesn't mean it's not there. I'd recommend that once a week you do the following:
Take the case off the phone (this should be assumed, but I don't know you)
Run the case under a warm water faucet until it looks and feels like it's saturated
Lather up some hand soap on your hands and then rub into the case for about a minute
Wash off the case (and your hands) for another minute rubbing on the case to make sure you're pushing the soap out
Let the case air dry for a few hours or use the low setting on a hair dryer (your hands are ok to dry using a towel or paper towel)
Is protection any good (edges, corners and front lip)? I always had SPECK cases but this year, they do not seem to come up with any Pixel 5 cases. I need a case that both looks good and adds some reasons protection against drops without adding too much bulk like the UA cases do.
Also, I am a little concerned that the fabric cases will stand the test of time. Any experiences?
I read that the case comes with a raised front "lip" to protect the display and IIRC, fabric cases for older models did not have this. Was the built updated?
I got a Google fabric case for my 3xl. Phone falls and hits right on the bottom edge where there is no protection.!
Screen cracks right at that spot. No problem, call Google - they denied my claim for a new screen! Said the case wasn't designed to protect the phone!
Screw Google and thier cases. I've dropped my 4XL many times with the UAG and or Spigen clear case on it and never had any damage!

This is why I always try to go with the most grippy case.
The fabric case is one of the most slippery cases with dry hands. You just open you hand and your phone slips off like a flying bomb.
I've been using Spigen Thin Fit in black colour and it's a bit more grippy than a classic TPU.
However mate silicone rubber cases are probably even more grippy.

I bought one of these for my 3xl, it broke the first time my phone fell from my desk.

The protection is NOT very good and as someone else noted here, even google seems unwilling to honor claims if you have the device in the case and it falls and breaks.
I've had this case for two days. My first Google fabric case. I don't find it slippery and yes, it's easy to put in pocket and take out. I am concerned about the exposed bottom though. It would really have to land in a weird way to hit it though. I'm ordering a cheap tpu case as well however.
It does look real good. I have the blue version.
I got the case 3 days ago, so far I like it, like already mentioned the bottom being open is a worry but the case is very nice. I had a Spigen thin clear one for 5 days but it was a bit too bulky.
Given that this listing has now popped up, aos tv for pc the timeframe fits with what the audio acoustics firm turned into capable of share prior to this discovery. However, we are aware and might verify that the existing T-four hundred Comply Foam Tips are compatible with Pixel Buds. That stated, the larger sizes can cause troubles with the Pixel Buds case, as we have explained previously. A committed earbud tip for Google’s first clearly wi-fi earbuds is probably a warm price tag in that regard.
The fabric WILL get dirty and discolor in a few weeks. It looks good initially but wont when the fabric darkens from oils.
The case doesn't feel the most secure on the phone, like if it's dropped I feel the phone would pop out of the case. The case doesnt "snap" onto the phone with a lip around the front class.
The case doesn't allow for the phone to sit nicely on the Pixel stand (wireless charger). THIS is a shame, you have to balance the case/phone for it to stand straight
This is not my experience at all. The case is very tight and very secure. It is the first case that won't even allow a skin underneath it without tearing it up because it is so snug and the case wraps around to the front catching the edge of any skin. It doesnt cover the bottom of the phone which could be a negative for some.
I also have the lightest 'static grey' colour. I used the case every day with dark coloured and unwashed denim. It picked up a little oil on the outer edges from pocket friction after a month. Quick wash under the tap and it was back to brand new.

I agree, I've had this case for over a month now and it doesn't feel like it will come off the phone at all. Haven't dropped the phone yet to test it out though. Also while I use the phone a ton, I haven't felt a need to wash mine yet, but of course YMMV depending upon your environment, if you use the phone while you eat, etc...
I just got the Speck grip case too only because I was worried about the open part of Fabric case on the bottom, but nothing else. I really dig the way the Fabric case looks much more. The orange button and orange google logo on the back make it easier to find in darkness too.

This is not true. Do you really own this case or just posting your thoughts?
1. It won't get dirty in regular conditions for 99% of the ppl, of course if you work at oil refinery it would. It's easy to wash it with a soft sponge and dish washing liquid - takes 5mins. I owned two fabric cases for p3xl for 2years, now I have it for p5, and it's not dirty at all after 1.5mo. No signs of discolor, do not wash with bleaching substances and do not put in contact with aggressive chemicals. That's it.
2. It doesn't pop out when the phone falls - checked by myself unintentionally. It has a quite good leap from 3 sides, so the phone screen is quite protected. Of course it's not an Otterbox case, but I prefer good aesthetic over bulkiness with a grenade-blast-protection.
My only concern would be that the G logo has peeled off a little - p3xl cases were definitely better with that. But I fixed it with glue and a pin in 5mins
Sorry for my bad English.
Cheers

I do own and use this case.. I also owned it for each pixel model I've owned.
After a few weeks it showed discoloration from oils/grease on my hands and dirt from surfaces. I have cleaned the orange case before but the color never truly returns to that from when its brand new.
Plus in a time right now, this sort of case is a nesting ground for germs and not as easily cleanable
I use Google's green chameleon fabric case for my Pixel 5 sorta sage and I'm satisfied. Non slippery at all. The only problem is that if you put tempered glass the lips of the case is on the same height with the glass. Also using Spigen's Ultra hybrid. Very nice one too!
On my Pixel 4XL I have all the fabric cases except the blueish one. I like them so much.

Covid can't live on a porous surface like this. Most viruses can't. Non-issue.
I love the fabric cases.
Hey guys, Target has a $31 sale on some cases.
and B&HPhotos is having a bigger one, 21 for one color
I decided to get a google fabric case, and found a brand new one on ebay for £15 which i thought was a bargain, was the slate grey version. Have to say i love it, definetly feels premium and its been the best case i have bought.
Looks great, feels great. Recommend it.

Accessories Spigen Slim Armor Pro Pen Edition for Galaxy Z Fold 4 Case review/share

Wanted to share with you all, a really good case that is worth the money for this phone, and I am really happy with it.
The case is intended to put on and leave on, hence the adhesive films on the inside of the front cover, the back (with yellow cushioning) just clips on with a strong solid tight fit. The front cover bezel/lip looks to be about 2.5-3mm deep, but accessing the right side soft menu still good. My finger size is about average/medium size and I have no problem also accessing the power button and fingerprint sensor on the side beside the s-pen.
Used the glue adhesives on the front screen that were already applied, just had to pull off the backings (They also included an extra set of glue adhesive strips for a second mount if you ever need to take off and put back on) and it fits perfect, lines up with all the holes and speaker grills. The back piece with the hinge cover (with 2 spring loaded hinges), protects the back and fold hinge while the lip around the camera protects the camera lenses. It too also has perfect alignment with holes and has lots of clearance with the USB C port fitting. The hinge cover protector also gives you something to hold/grip when the phone is unfolded.
Suggest you first get a front glass screen protector (I used the Spigen Glastr Ez Fit for perfect alignment and easy application) for the front and camera lenses protectors also before applying this case.
This quality case feels very good, smooth, solid, elegant, and provides a great grippy feel. More importantly, I feel more confident holding the phone with this case on, as it feels like it could weather some accidental mishaps and protect the phone.
In my pictures, you will notice I also put a pop socket on the back centre for four reasons:
1) use for general holding in hand, even more support than the hinge cover protection bump when fully open
2) use as a kick stand for front screen and/or the unfolded full screen
3) use for a magnetic mount that I have in my car - so phone can sit in folded vertical or horizontal orientation and also unfolded orientation, using a pop socket flat mount with the metal plate stuck on the back of it- I just slide my pop socket into the pop socket flat mount holder and then attach to the magnetic mount, which also allows me to:
4) wireless charge at home, by twisting the top half of the pop socket half a turn to remove, when it is pushed in, which will allow a closer clearance for wireless charging through the case as it is all plastic
One critical point based on the design of the spring loaded hinge cover protector, when you do unfold/open the phone to full screen, and you are using the back screen for taking a selfie, you loose about 1 cm of view area on the left of the front screen. This minor con is something I can live with as this is in only this situation and for the design, it is a great compromise having that hinge protection.
In closing, I am really happy I got this case. I was originally worried that it might be too bulky, eventually ending up removing it for a thinner/smaller case, but I think it has a great balance of protection, holds the s-pen on the front side of screen keeping it's thickness down (compared to the Samsung pen/kickstand case, or others in some cases), and one of the few cases that protects the hinge, allowing the phone full protection around the whole phone. Hopefully you found this helpful for your situation.
used to have slim armour pro on my fold 3. i thought same as you and glued the front and back to the phone. i didnt removed for 2 months as theres was no need but after 2 months i wanted to clean the phone as dust clogged in corners, dam that case bonded with phone like a rock. no matter how much i pulled it wont come off lmao. i had to use some 70% alcohol and slowly pried it off. there were several scraches on the front screen border where the case was contacting the phone. also its weighs so much, i dont know why they named it as slim as it aint slim at all. but i have to say that case is like BUNKER and protected my phone from several hard falls
this time thinking of going with latercase as i rarely fold my phone unless im going outside.

I read a lot about people having a challenge to pull the case cover off on the Z fold 3, some had glued the back on also which the current 4 version doesn't have or need, as it snaps on pretty good, but some with the 3 did use the glue strips which made it a challenge to get off. I can't speak to this Z fold 4 vs the 3 case, but having used it a couple of days, I still think it is a solid quality case.
It is a "little" thicker than the Samsung pen case, but not by much, and the pen holder on the Spigen sits in a nice place compared to the Samsung making it thinner right away, even with the hinge on the back when opened up. I understand why they need the glue adhesive on the front protection cover, as it needs to stay locked on especially when you are pulling on the s-pen constantly. What I really like is that it does protect the Fold's hinge area also... the Latercase is super thin, so less protection and the hinge is susceptible when folded with mishaps and for me I use both the front and the inside about the same. I can't see me taking the front cover off for a long time and don't think I will need to clean from the inside on the front panel as the fit is super tight, but the back can be snapped off easily if necessary. There are a lot of people that have used the Latercase as it is thin and has good grip, but doesn't have the "bunker" safety. As I mentioned in my closing casual review, I was afraid the size of the case would be too much for the protection it offers, but it is a lot better than I thought it would be in terms of weight/thickness and with the hinge protection and great pen storage location, I am very happy with it.
I recommend stick for example transprant tape for hinge to protect before scratches from this case. Every unfold and fold device i saw more scratches on the tape and thanks for it no on the hinge
I did it on my fold 2 from first days and now look like new.

Had the same issue with mine. Damaged and scratched my z fold 3 due to the case adhesive.
Tried to go another route for my fold 4 and got the vrs terra guard modern case, It looked alright & initially I was happy as it had Good Protection. It felt more plasticy than the spigen version but i liked the design so ignored the finish.
Over my 4 days of use I found that the magnets in the hinge created big dead spots in the inner screen where the S-Pen wouldn't register.
Screen protector included is much smaller than the active screen area. (So basically useless)
The hinge created a weird noise while opening and closing which i ignored and it eventually broke after 4 days of use (the hinge created tension in the plastic holding it and lifted the inner base of the case and broke).
Thankfully no damage to the phone.
I'll probably try the iblason or supcase I saw on some youtube channels they looked solid and only had one small piece of adhesive tape for the top cover.

Spigen screen protector for the outer small screen is very good. Although its not edge to edge which will hinder with cases.

So far, I don't see anyone has managed this on a fold 4! The hinge film gets pushed off when you open the phone as the tolerances are much tighter than the 2 and 3

Interesting, so in this case scratches problem can be unfortunetly hard to resolve.
After over a month with the Spigen Slim Armor Pro Pen Edition case, it is holding up great. Haven't had any close ones or miss-haps to talk about, and the under the hinge protector, minor dust, which is cleaned out easily with a clean micro-fibre. The case gives me the confidence that it has that 100% protection. Very well designed with upgrades to it since the first one they offered for earlier folds, I have to say this is their best design yet. Everything just works well, the case, the EZ glass front protector, the pen holder, the camera lens cover protection, the removable pop socket with the metal stick on that works with my car magnetic mount and the ESR phone boost kickstand. As for the fold 4 itself, no issues and works well with the Watch 5 pro and Buds 2 pro. The only one thing I wish it did have is a wider front screen similar to the Mix 2/Vivo Fold, but with all the pro's, in Canada, it is the clear winner for Folds here.
For its price, its terribly expensive. There are cases just like it for 30% less money that use magnets on the hinge instead of glue, and the material feels better. I feel as though Spigen rips people off and they must have massive profit margins if you see the cases that show up on amazon and aliexpress.
What case do you recommend then?

Just got my Z FOLD 4 a couple of days ago..(used to have orginal Z FOLD.....then Xiaomi Mi MIx FOLD..now this beast..it is awesome!)....I have the Samsung case with pen holder...but interested in this Spigen one you recommend..you say it allows wireless charging with the case on ? (the Samsung one does not.....)...and looks like it gives easier access to the S pen too...but does the S pen not block the fingerprint reader ? It is kinda damm expensive too for a case ...let's hope it comes down in price in Amazon prime sale next week !

Hey Elio,
Congrats on getting the Z Fold 4,
No issues with the finger print reader, I have average sized hands and thumb works all the time, there is enough room. Yes it is expensive, but well worth it, you wont feel ripped off as it is excellent quality, and there is no other design out there that has this unique set of design features. The case feels really good in the hand (not plastic feel... more of a smooth rubbery feel, so great grip) and it fits like a glove on the case. As for charging wirelessly, no problem... I even have a removable pop socket and an ESR phone boost kickstand, and still no problem charging after I remove the top of the pop socket (just a quick 1/2 twist when it is pushed in). Not only easier access to the pen, but better placement in my opinion, I would rather have a little wider than making it thicker... it already is thick because of the fold design... so why put a storage s-pen on the back... and putting it in the hinge protector like some designs makes the hinge protector a huge bump on the back when open.
I have very negative experience with the Spigen cover cases for Fold 4. The first one, the Tough Armor got broken after 16 days. The second one, the Slim Armor Pro got broken today after 4 months. Totally, I lost almost 150€ for these two cases ;-( I will request replacement. My conclusion is there is no way to make a good unbreakable cover case for Fold 4. For my previous non-foldable phones the Spigen cover cases where perfect.
