This is great . I just started building kernal by initially adding smartassv2 and some other patches with linaro toolchain ,am new to this and ended up failing to find <dev code>_<...>_devconfig .
Can I know where I can find it in order to run make ..._devconfig ?
And I will test and feedback about your kernal .
Hope to see more patches like not all CPUs online all the time , and governors , i/o schedulers to tuneup some juice regrading performance .
Anyways thanks for one more outcome for this device:highfive:

Great news that there is custom kernel development for this device! Keep on your good work, really appreciate it!

No cellular signals .
Dual sim option shows no sim inserted .
As the ril wasn't working I reverted to back to the old kernal, and I hvnt tested other features .
It wil be great ,if u could expect battery friendly tweaks in next build :fingers-crossed:

Welcome to the 5X forums. I'm so happy to see a kernel developer interested in this device.
I have a huge request, If it's not too much trouble is their any chance you could fix the Stock KIW-L24 MM kernel to include
1. USB-OTG support like this > http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/how-to/stock-marshmallow-kernel-otg-enabled-t3411667
2. Enable gyroscope like is described here > http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/how-to/tutorial-enable-gyroscope-honor-5x-t3322256
3. Enable kernel tweaks like overclocking and core adjustments
The stock EMUI kernel really needs some help
Thanks for looking into this and posting your work here.

This is a slightly modified kernel based off of cm's new d851 kernel rebase: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_kernel_lge_g3/tree/cm-13.0
I wanted to build something that's basic and reliable. If you're looking for a highly modified kernel I recommend Eliminater74's Nebula Kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/kernel-nebulakernel-rev6-5-build20150715-t3161768
INSTALLATION
-------------------------
1. Make sure you know what your doing. If you're a noob then don't install this. I will not answer questions on how to install or fix your phone if you mess it up. Always backup first!
2. boot up into recovery.
3. flash the kernel zipped file.
4. Wipe cache.
5. Reboot.

And of course Eliminater74 for helping me with my mismatch errors.

Thank you for all your hard work and sharing your work
Good to see you expanding your horizons and delving into new challenges
If you guys use either kernel in any ROMs not listed just let me know and I'll add it to the compatibility list. If you're using the test kernel I just need to know if you get any kernel panics or boot loops. Thanks guys!

Just installed stable and going to see what happens.
Stable is smooth and fast, great battery life.
Thanks to tootsiepop kernel and its author.
Currently running BlissPop 1/22 build with the experimental kernel. Flashed this morning before work so I haven't used my phone much since I flashed. I also have not had a chance to browse the thread regarding my issues. So for now....
First Impression - Smoooooth and quick just like Bliss should be.
Issue 1 - I had one kernel panic "BSOD" right before work. At the time I was playing with the Walkman music player port, which has been giving me issues. So it may have nothing to do with the ROM or kernel.
Issue 2 - my lg headset connects, but no music plays through the earphones.
Overall - VERY NICE WORK. No complaints at all, because I believe my issues are either my own fault or a CM issue.
Thanks for the upload aclegg
The stable and test kernel has been updated. Now on the test kernel we're testing the multirom patch. Remember to download the stable kernel in case the test kernel crashes!
I implemented the kexec patch in the new test build, but multirom says its not in the kernel. It could be because the kernel optimization levels are too high. Would you want to sacrifice smoothness for multirom support? I was able to get multirom working using a kitkat ROM as my primary with the skin kernel. And bliss pop is running with the speedy kernel as the second ROM just fine.

I'm might not support multirom. The whole point of this kernel is to increase optimization without losing stability. Stripping out the optimizations just to add multirom would contradict why I decided to work on this kernel to begin with.

If anyone wants to help, I've patched our kernel up to mainline 3.18.40 but having trouble getting it to boot at 3.18.40.
The code is on the dev branch of my GitHub repo at http://github.com/JonnyXDA/android_kernel_elephone_p9000 - would greatly appreciate any help!

There are a lot of misc changes however, yes most will be for other hardware but in ~1600 commits I'm sure there are things that will have changed in our kernel as well.

Sure, but the good way to update the kernel is track the android kernel common git on github
@Deepflex New PR is ready to merge on github. CFQ Improvements
Request: Is it possible to add double tap to wake and smartcase (magnetic sensor) to the kernel? As the proximity sensor does NOT work together with the original Elephone Flipcase/Smartcase (maybe coz of the material or the magnet?) it is not possible to use the phone in a flip case closed to telephone, you always get with the ear on the pause button inside the cover hole. One word about it would be great, as this is the only thing missing in CC/RR. Else i have to buy a other case or go back to Eragon.
I guess lucky for me, Elephone never sent my flip case bundle. Glad it was free. Lol
I think double tap to wake is very important feature to be added

Your commits are causing the kernel to fail when building, they will be reverted at some point. Can you please make sure you test changes before creating a pull request, thanks.

I'm looking forward to it!
ill be testing it as well, hope no stupid crash hinder me. but if i might want to a bit selfish, do the rom kernel include westwood tcp and better io like maple, or sioplus just like lineage? coz cubic and cfq/bfq are a bit slow for me. other than this small request, im very looking forward to it as well hoping if this rom supporting f2fs too.
If there is a way to port to Z00L I can test as well.
btw the src link is to your kernel for exynos chips. what kernel do you use for this rom ?
please can anyone port helios pie kernel for z00t ? Without this, the rom can't boot
