New rom found on Rapidshare

I just found this. Its bigger than the April refresh. The IE icon whats only available looks different then the previous version.

What phone sdk are you installed? The April one?

Yeah im running the April CTP. Tried installing the packages you linked and the emulator refuses to run. Even with the default rom. There's no error message or anything.
Anybody else get it working?

I had a lot of issues with both RGUCOMP and HVEDIT and i cant unlock the image. The tools always throwing errors. I dont have more time to play with them.
Will someone who unlocked a wp7 rom before help us out and unlock this. Please.

It would be great if this could be unlocked soon.
I'm surprised that it's gotten so little attention, compared to other WP7 ROM threads.

Interesting. The version number seems to imply an older build than what had been publicly released. I'll see what I can do to get it unlocked.

I really dont know why is it running on me. Its tru that lately i installed everithing WP7 related over my machine i could find without proper understanding.
Maybe if you tell me what files (and where can i find them) do you need to run this thing i could upload it for you.
But till if you can try to unlock it please do and i will check. Thanks.

Yea, what's odd is that when you go to add a mail account there's no options listed to add. Not sure why.

Something is funky with this one. It seems like they slipped a new build of XDE in last month the same day this emulator image is dated (June 24th). The new XDE won't run the old emulator builds and the old one won't run this newer build. Also, it won't run any deployed apps. It just throws an error when they try to load. Nonetheless, I'll try and get it posted when I get home from work later this evening. I'll just ignore all of the posts of "it doesn't work".

Maybe this is a mistake build or something. Im having trouble running the most basic programs on it too.
Im already uploading the unlocked rom but my upspeed is really slow(20k) so it will take a while to finish.

No surprise. R&D, QC, whatever you want to call it is taking a backseat on T-Mobile's list of concerns. To think they once were a bit more efficient.

I still don't understand what's going on here.

The are known to skip on updates like this they will probably push 5.1.1 before the rest do tho

TMo hasn't pushed out AOEx yet, while AT&T and Sprint have. Memory management fixes are needed pretty badly.

I'm pretty sure that they're working on updating straight to 5.1.1. given the leaked OTA which runs perfectly. Makes sense with all the issues plaguing Android 5.0 right now.

If you're rooted, your phone will not update with the OTAs.

Did you get the original update from April? There was one pretty much out-of-the-box for this device. Something like 177MB or 178MB. Something like that.
Also, if you have indeed already received that update, yet you're being prompted to download a new one, I would highly recommend doing us all an awesome favor (assuming you don't mind tripping knox):
- Make some good backups of your device (TWRP or otherwise) such that you don't wipe anything
- Use Odin to return back to stock.
- Install TWRP v2 via Odin. There's an Odin-flashable version in the OP here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-s6-edge/development/5-1-1-blck-tw-t3096994
(this should allow you to maintain an "Official" status, according to SysScope, but have root access through ADB in the TWRP recovery)
- Get advice somewhere here (I'm sure there's plenty that know how to do with on Lollipop) on how to snag that Update.zip of the OTA.
If I'm wrong, and flashing the TWRP via Odin marks the system status as "Custom" then I'm sure there's a different order we can do this in.
Or maybe I'm just crazy altogether. It's been a long day. But in any event, there should be some way to obtain that Update.zip and share it with us!

I was with sprint, very bad all the way around, from service to CS, they are 100 years behind

Correct OTA

I have the Google Version of Pixel 2 XL I get a fail every time I try and update this but I get "Variable not found." I been at this all night I give up. A link would be a big help.

I can only get the DEC 5 To work. When I do it wont let me up grade to the newer version. kinda stuck here.

Did you unlock critical? One of the messages at the very beginning says unable to flash critical. Sounds like that's the reason that it's failing. If you haven't unlocked critical, and you're going to try it, be aware that it's going to wipe your data.
Secondly, did you try just flashing the bootloader from the January update by itself first?

I did just this "fastboot flashing unlock_critical" now after I fast boot I get your device is corrupt It cant be trusted. If I goto Decembers OTA its fine. I dont get it. I am on Verizon's network but got my phone from Google.

There are multiple step-by-step guides here on how to do just this. Suggest you take a step back and read one or two. There are two separate unlock commands to use and from your photo you did not complete that. Secondly, it looks like you may be using an outdated version of the adb/fastboot binaries. Lastly you don't flash an OTA with flash-all. If you are attempting to sideload an OTA, you use the "adb sideload" command with the phone in Recovery, not flash-all in fastboot mode. At this point, you should probably update your adb/fastboot binaries, download the full factory image (not OTA) and flash it instead. Slow down and read more.

Not blaming anyone but instead just using your post for calling out there are what seems like dozens of variations for doing the same few tasks on this device. There are a couple really good tutorials that are either 100% or were until something like TWRP of magisk changed something. At the end of the day there are a few givens that will eventually shake out into something like the Heisenberg thread over on the 6P device.
For anyone reading this, unlock critical if you have not, install a custom kernel if you have touch issues in TWRP, really really really read up on the few custom roms that just hit as they add a few variables that most of us have never experienced, make a list of things you install as you do it. All too often people spend countless time and effort helping someone with a boot loop only to find out something not mentioned was in play. Poor steps were attempted from some other thread only to not help or made it worse or different. Examples of this would be xposed, custom kernel, any zip file mods you flashed, viper, Dolby, substratum, you get the idea. We all wanna help and we all need help at some point. Let us try to make the game as easy to play as possible. Flash on brothers and sisters!!

New Pixel XL owner, root help.

Have a decent understanding of how to unlock/root/xda, just want to make sure, so any help would be appreciated.
Still on 7.1.1, (Google edition? Bought on eBay and not really sure because oem unlock is greyed out, no Verizon apps though) wondering best way to get to android O/P with the bootloader unlocked. Should I OTA then try the Verizon unlock method? Or try the unlock method on 7.1.1 then flash a android O/P rom/modem/baseband etc? Got some reading to do....
Any other tips would be appreciated as well, thanks for your time.

So if your Button is greyed out... It's a Verizon variant.

Once he unlock your bootloader proceed to downloading developer preview 4 and run flash all command.
Once it has finished flashing Android p the phone will then reboot let it get to the main screen and then reboot the phone and put into bootloader mode.
Download TW RP image and run Fastboot boot ( twrp image ) and wait for it to boot twrp. When you're computer reads the phone, drag and drop twrp installer into phone and the install. Reboot to recovery >> flash magisk >> boot up

You can use the Verizon method on 7.1.1 or newer as far as I know.

Yes on Verizon, still no apps, rebooted multiple times and updated all playstore apps......no vzw stuff anywhere (not complaining, ha) just seems odd.
Is it better to OTA update to 8 then unlock/root, or is there another way (flash rom/modem...etc over 7.1.1, might not play well with bootloader though, jw).

Well im not on vzw but have a vzw pixel. My fi app downloaded when I put in the sim. Figured vzw would be the same.

Gotcha.
Edit: CID getter shows rom.boot.cid:[VZW_001], also checked verizon account, shows up as Pixel XL, not "non vzw device" which someone said it should say if it's google edition.
Ugh, any real difference between the Google edition vs VzW (except, ya know, the bleeping bootloader unlock)?

Not sure if this was answered already, but no. The bootloader being locked is the only difference.

General F936U1 Firmware Now Available

For those looking to flash their devices immediately, U1 firmware is now available via Frija and other such tools that pull from Sammy's servers. Manual Entry is required, XAA sales code.
PDA: F936U1UEU1AVGA
CSC: F936U1OYM1AVGC
Phone: F936U1UEU1AVGA
Standard MO for Samsung is to remove the Manual Entry requirement once the official launch date hits. Once that date comes, you should be able to pull it via Automatic.
I do not own this device nor will I ever so I haven't actually tried flashing. But it should work with latest Patched Odin 3.14.x

It already is available, and has been. For some reason, VZW usually also requires Manual entry, in order to pull successfully

Thanks! You would not happen to know the PDA, CSC and Phone codes for pulling the Verizon firmware would you? I tried some combinations but they did not seem to work.

Thanks again! Got the flip 4 firmware as well. My project for today was flashing the Fold 4 VZW firmware and getting the phone to be as like my Fold 3 as possible, before sending in the Fold 3 for my trade-in. Next project will be the Fold 4.

There was an update that came out a day or so ago, ending in "VHH". I can only see it for TMK and TMB. I have it installed now no issues but wondering would they usually release an incremental update for U1?

It still has the July Security Patch and only available in certain markets from what I read. Incremental like a small patch and not a full update.

Still don't understand what the difference between "small patch" and "full update" is, in your book. Not all updates are multiple GB in size and/or bring a new UI or Android version. Both U and U1 models have always gotten "small" updates, and always will.
And I'm sure it'll roll out to the other carriers soon
