Record AV input - MTCB Android Head Units Q&A

My usb ports are dead. Wifi also.
Everything else is working fine so it's not a big problem
The only thing I'm missing is my dashcam.
Is there an app to record using AV Input ?

[Q]

Today I tried to connect my phone to the control unit of Z5500 speakers (there's a headset and source in jack). I couldn't get the 4g touch to play through the speakers. My ipod will play, so I know it works. Is there some setting that I'm missing (besides 'enable audio out when docked')?
Thanks!
Why did u mention a dock? It should be from phones audio jack out to the z-5500 audio in.
I own a z5500 also. Works fine.

Hi Shoulon. Thanks for your comments. I mentioned the 'audio out when docked' setting because I knew that wouldn't resolve the problem. Glad to hear the Epic does work with your z5500s. It may be the way I'm using the z5500s at the moment. I have it hooked up to TV via optical only...no computer (direct connect) or coax connection at the moment as I'm renovating my office.

Mic doesn't work after changing charging port

I was experiencing problems with my phone not getting enough charge this whole week i would leave it on the charger all night and wake up and my phone would be at the same percentage. Anyways I took it to a phone repaid shop today to change out the charging port and now my charging problems are fixed but then I called my friend and he could not hear me at all.
Is it possible that the repairman damaged the microphone while changing the port? I've read in other posts where people buy charging ports and a mic was included. Just wanted to clarify if the mic is connected to the charging port. My phone was working fine prior to the fix. I'm also on aokp Jb 5. I did a clean install right after but that did not work.
UPDATE: Just did a few tests and i can confirm that my mic does work on speakerphone. Without speakerphone it doesnt work and i tried to record a video and the video had NO AUDIO.

Whether or not, I would take it back because it was working before they touched it

Getting a new daughter board fixed the problem for me

[Q] USB Microphone

Has anyone tried or had any success recording video with a USB microphone? I was under the impression that android is supposed to support USB mics. The weird thing is that the mic works with straight audio apps, but the mic doesn't work while trying to record video using the native video recorder. Any thoughts or suggestions?
try with different phone
has anyone tried using a usb mic with another phone besides the note 3? OR does anyone know of a particular ROM that would support the usb mic?

5.1.1 USB Audio problem (in and out) with multiple otg devices

My N7 is being used as a car headunit. I'm having a usb audio issue with multiple devices. With an OTG y cable, I am running an easycap and a UCA 202 w/an amped mic into the inputs. Everything works fine before the easycap is powered. When I swtich intro reverse, video shows up fine. When I shift out of reverse and the easycap powers off, all audio will only play from the internal speakers and I get "Can't open microphone". I have to either reset or dis/reconnect the otg y cable to fix the problem.
I am able to preserve usb audio out if I use the "easycap viewer" app but I cannot get the mic to work at all with the easycap unpowered after the first connection. Mic and audio work fine up until the easycap is powered on for the first time. Interestingly, the Mic will only work when I am in reverse. I figured this out while parked and testing--not really reasonable to shift into reverse on the highway to make a voice command .
Is there a flashable fix? An app? Any workaround?
Appreciate the help. Thanks.

Installing an aux port

Has anyone figured out to install an aux port to the android head units? I have a joying headunit.
I thought that just installing a rca to aux cable to the rca input ports would work but can't get anything to play from the aux port.
Do I need to launch a specific app? I tried AV-in app but just get a error sign. Any help would be appreciated.
I tried using a cable like this
I have a cable just like that, and it works fine for me, The error sign is still their (presumably so you can't see video in), but I hear the input fine.
Yeah, just use av-in app
You have no video hooked up, so it won't show video input but sound will work
Found out that the headphone jack of my phone was not working properly.
Thanks for the help! Works now
When it comes to the error-sign:
As @Brendo said it is supposed and expected behaviour.
I remember there has been an app mod without that error sign. You could have a look over at Software-Section. There is a thread with modded MTC Apps
