Looking for an App that shows GPU usage on the Exynos Tab S1 - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I want to be able to see gpu and if possible cpu usage when playing a video file, basically i want to know if hevc video`s are using my cpu or gpu.
Thanks for any help
John.

Could you use CPU-Z and then just multi-window? Should work for what you'd like to do.

The power of SGS2 unveiled !!!

Great news, proof that exynos + Mali is way powerful than tegra2 :
I'm now able to play History Great Battle Medieval on the SGSII with the following settings :
-1,425 Ghz Overclocked SGSII (with tegrak overclock tool) = 20% OC
-Chainfire3D + Nvidia plugin (With reduced texture size and Reduced texture quality), No CF3D hiding.
The game runs in every game mode, sometimes it crashes but it works anyway, the phone is a little bit hot that's all !
So now we know that SGSII is able to run advanced tegra2 games, while doing a lot of calculation over the game itself (Running the game + chainfire openGL plugin + texture decompression/transformation)
Tegra games have a somehow called "firewall", it dectects tegra devides and let the games go on, if your devide is not a tegra one, the games just stop at the fail notifications.
It doesn't matter the streng of the CPU or GPU.

Afaik the game only checks what kind of compression format the device supports. If needs to support the format Nvidia uses you can play.

[Q] how to fix Gaming Lag in games

Hi, i'm using the franco kernel r66 nightly with android revolution 10 rom 4.2.2, The newest one now. Oc'd to 1.5 ghz with 700mhz min and interactive governer and i'm experiencing lag in the game need for speed most wanted. I have no tasks open and it feels really really slow, 0.5x slower, like the timer in the top right counting up is choppy. How can i get the performance that youtube demos of this game on the gnex has? The videos on youtube, they're playing it perfectly but im not playing it perfectly.
I also have force gpu rendering on with android revolution hd
You are playing the game with all graphics unlocked AKA QuadCore quality smartphones
It happened because franco kernel overclocked the graphics to 512mhz, and the game thinks you have a awesome phone ( and you do!)
If you force it to go back to the original Nexus graphics, you'll want the nice graphics back, so my sugestion, is:
If you want to play the game, CPU - 1500mhz or 1600, and Governor: Performance (this is the key point)
You can also tweak other performance settings in the custom kernel part (in the franco kernel updater app), like finding what IO suits you best for the game.
With those tweaks, i run the game with full 30fps, except 1 or 2 tracks, in which there is a lot of water on the ground, but in those tracks it is completely playable still(23~27fps), but the game runs well in most tracks, with amazing refletions and shadows
Edit: Don't force GPU rendering
Wait, Wouldn't it make the game think i dont have the quad core phone if i use a trinity kernel 384mhz gpu? Then wouldn't that be fine?
Thankyou for the tip.
No idea, but it might work like that
Although in my opinion, i prefer the game with those graphics
I can withstand those 1 or 2 tracks
Thank you for everything, I flashed trinity and it worked, Honestly i dont see the difference but now its so much fun since it's playable now

Am using samsung core. Not even one game plays smooth in my phone
I just finished rooting my phone, installed Monster rom.(Even before root, it wasn't good at all)
I've set the frequency max-1.2ghz and min.frq-700. Governor- Performance.
Is there anyway i can play em smooth ????

Asphalt 8 stutter

So i installed Asphlat 8 and it stutters at high graphics. Playable only at low graphic settings.
I checked via CPU Spy and CPU is stuck at 1.2GHz when playing game. I don't have any power saver function enabled and CPU run at full 2.3GHz when i am viewing high resolution images in Gallery. But in game it refuses to work on full speed hence making it impossible to play Asphalt at high settings.
I have SM-P605 S800 4G version, running 4.4.2 total Stock.
Suggestions?
Never mind...
I rooted the damn thing and put Cyanogenmod and wola. It is flying with high settings on Asphalt 8.
On Stock Rom, after playing Asphalt 8 for few minutes....
screenshot program
And On Cyanogenmod, after few minutes of Game play...

[Q] my note2 is overheating in games like clash of clans. 80°C / 176°F what to do???

My note2 n7100 is overheating in games like clash of clans.
It reach 80°C / 176°F 1 minute after i open the game.
Yes, energy saving mode is already active!
The scren get too hot. Its like burn fingers.
But on other tasks like surfing web, or seen movies, the temperature is just around 50°C / 122°F.
Is there a way, other than activate energy saving mode, to down temperature wile playng games?
Is cpu temperature about 80°C / 176°F a normal temperature?
Its safe to play 3 or 4 hours os game in this hight temperature?
My android is rooted. Is there any kind of processor frequency control app or custom firmware that open me possibilities to control cpu temperature?
Thanks!!!
I just realize that if I zoom in the game the temperature drops down 20%.. but still hot.. I think the only solution is some underclock.. its possible?
You can download no cpu frills on playstore. It controls ur cpu frequency and u can change governors too. Try playing with them and see which one suits you best. If there's no big difference, try changing rom. Good luck.

Question 0% GPU load when playing games that are gpu intensive

Is this normal for every android 12 devices? Should I root my device to be able to show gpu load or is this a software problem or does this have anything to do with gpu api? I've seen some devices that are like android 9 or 10 that are able to show gpu load
