I think you just saved the project because no one has been replying so I was thinking no one used this phone anymore since its old. I was thinking of making this an only version but it wouldn't be fair since there is some people that use it and it's still buggy.
So, whether or not I need beta testers, the answer is not yet because I'm still working on fixing the dialer and replacing the settings ui. So, whenever I do need beta testers I will contact you and anyone else who wants to test because I want it to be as stable as possible before each update and I can't find all the bugs by myself.

Given that I recently bricked my G3 and found myself back on the Galaxy Light I'm now going ROM hunting.
Flashing and multibooting everything from KitKat to Nougat on the G3.
Can't survive without something to test. Sign me up when the time comes.

Unfortunately, I've long moved past this device. I though it had great potential with the possibility of lollipop but it never came. I've moved on to the LG Leon (without rooting it or making any roms) and the new LG Aristo (also without ROMs yet or maybe). I look forward to making ROMs for more devices but that will have to be put after my education

Hello, i am a t mobile galaxy light user. And i can be a tester if you want. Btw i want to make a suggestion. Lets make lineage os or resurrection remix android 6.0 or 7.0 if possible for this phone. I hope all devs here get encouraged and make a rom or improve the roms. Im downlpading the rom now, so tomorrow I'll give the rating

I am using this right now (also reply with this device) There are no much devs for this device on cm 12(android 5.0.2) for this device and close the devolpement I also want to use lineage os , Reseraction remix and other for older device although samsung galaxy duos 2 have much more devs and Android 7.1.2 (lineage os) is running fine but way this device having no attenction!

Yeah. The age of the phone, limited memory and storage doesn't help.
Not sure how well MM or N would run on such a phone but it would be fun to try.
I currently have CM12 on mine.

Is it JB? If so, they might have ripped off Andromadous team a bit (no roms based on test builds policy/wish). Then again, Chinese. MIUI started pretty much as CM rip-off violating GPL.

me too! still waiting!
lol they used virtuous 3.0.41 kernel and some sense framework here and there. also it has sense 3.6 camera. if its stable, would easily be the best rom possible for our devices.
its android 4.0.4 btw.
new temporary mirror: removed
I just flash it!
Everything as expected except one strange screen after first boot. I had to remove the battery... because this strange screen (a rectangular shape, like a cell phone, with android logo inside) was covering the lockscreen and I couldn't get rid of it! :cyclops:
After that everything seems to be just fine...
Keep testing!

Hey guys, please notice that the rom is not official, I just ported it from the offcial MIUI for DS. Also there is some bugs such as wifi hotspot etc. I will be very appreciate if anyone can help me get rid of the bugs or add more English support!
If you find any bug, please tell me, i will geit rid of it as possible as i can!
I found what was the strange screen appeared after first boot! "Prevent misoperation"!
I had to disable it (Settings - Display) because the unlock combination (Back + Volume Up) doesn't work...
Maybe is my fingers!
well seems like this too have the battery drain while listening to music through headphones problem.
im not suprised actually, because its 3.0.41 kernel. all roms with this kernel will have this problem untill Flemmard fixes it.
Oh man, i was about to go ask on Q/A if all the miui roms for our phones have been discontinued/are there any left. because i'm getting tired of stock ICS/nova launcher. And now here's this, looks promising. Might flash tonight or wait for next update if theres smth missing here. This does come in English right?
by default will be installed in Chinese
but you can switch to English.
except some apps, almost everything will be in English
btw, flashed yesterday evening, until now seems to be very stable

As you may know or read from tech news, Asus recently start pushing KitKat 4.4.2 (introduced new ZenUI) update to some of newest Asus devices such as Asus Padfone 2/Padfone X, and MemoPad 7, etc, here I am giving you newest Asus stock keyboard KitKat, it looks very nice - in case you bored with dark AOSP keyboard or Google Keyboard, here you can try something new refreshing!
Download
[port/new] Asus PadFoneX Stock Keyboard KitKat_4.4.2 by Jazzespresso
Screenshot
- See the attached images
Tested device and ROM
- Nexus 7 (4.4.X) - Purity ROM
- May work with other ROMs that's on KitKat (4.4.X) - it is up to you if you are adventure enough to give a shot and test it!
Install Instruction
Steps:
Did you do FULL NANDROID backup?, if not, do it now!
Download New Asus PadFoneX Stock Keyboard KitKat_4.4.2.
[*]Copy it to your tablet and flash it thru recovery (I am using philz touch recovery!)
[*]Reboot your tablet.
[*]After the reboot, go to settings --> Language & Input, and select Asus Keyboard as default - you can also configure Asus keyboard as well.
Usage:
If you want to use it in your own ROM, you only have to give proper credits, just as a way of courtesy:angel:, and you do not need ask for permission,
but it would be nice if you let me know (and a link back to this thread) if you are using it your own ROM and adding proper credits in your OP posting.
Tried a few times. Each time I use i get "unfortunately Asus Keyboard has stopped" popup.
Using paranoid saberdroid with no other kernels, tweaks or options running.

Like I said in OP, I tested on Nexus 7 (4.4.X) - Purity ROM, so different ROM it may or may not work. if I were you, what I would do is unzip the package and copy the files manually one by one (making sure giving the right permission), i know this would be pain in b...tt to do so..
I might give it a try later. I like the dedicated number keys on my asus tablet and would like them on the n7 too.
Plan on installing new all f2fs recovery, rom and kernel later. Will see what that comes with.

Great job. Installed without any problem. Keep well.
Good
Like it. Runs smooth, everything that is said to work, works. But some bugs, aside that from gr8Nole's CM12. For example, I can't change keyboard, settings just crash when I'm trying to.
UPD: fixed in 21.01 version
net::ERR_UNKNOWN_URL_SCHEME
I am still playing around with this rom when I have time. So far to my surprise, everything is working nice as it should. The only problem I have come across so far though is when I click certain links, they dont seem to parse/click correctly. Several times when click a URL I get the error: net::ERR_UNKNOWN_URL_SCHEME An easy way to recreate it is to go to this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053 (SuperSU on XDA) and scroll down and click on the Download: SuperSU on Google Play (free) link while using the rom. I would post it here, but I am typing from a PC right now and have to be quick. The link loads just fine on the PC too. I have done this in the past with 4.4.4 roms and last I recall it was working properly. When searching Google for the error, everything relates to code, which is out of my knowledge. A couple forums with people having issues were all unresolved or were told to restart, but it makes no difference. Now it doesn't do this all the time, but it has happened several times which makes it a small annoyance mostly, and assuming it should not do this at all. Hopefully I am not the only one having this issue and it can be fixed. Let me know if there is any other info I can provide.
Hmmm, I cant recreate the issue here...all links open fine...ibopen everything with chrome....what are you using? I find that some links wont open properly with the stock browser...
Is there no t315 support? I can't find any lollipop ROM for my tab 3 t315
No, sorry...we need the device to build for it...as of now we only have a sm t310 ...
I don't mind testing ROMs if you want to develop some I want lollipop for my device lol
Its not a matter of what you want, or what you are willing to do....I am not the dev....or a dev period...I'm going by what they are telling me to tell you.....no device = no build....blind builds are a pain and headache for devs....sorry
Hey Aries...
Thanks for getting back. I felt like a noob when I realized I was using the stock browser. I just been use to PA gapps in the 4.4.4 builds totally replacing the stock browser with Chrome. Since we are using Banks with Validus, is there some way I can manually inject or replace the stock browser with chrome? If it is a pain in the ass or not possible, is there a way to remove the stock browser once Chrome is installed? The same situation applies with the Nova launcher. I slightly prefer the Apex launcher and have the pro version on Google play. In the 4.4.4 roms, I was able to use Root uninstaller to remove leftover stuff I will never use in 4.4.4 roms, but it fails to remove it in LP. It is possible the Root uninstaller app isnt updated for LP, and may test some alternatives. It is just a minor issue figure I would ask to see what your thoughts were on it. If I could somehow replace nova and the stock with Apex and Chrome so when I flash it, it would be great as it is already there without the extra apps I will not use.
Aside from that I finally had some time to flash the latest build 1/31? and it is nice. I ended up doing a clean install since I was not vested much into the previous build anyway. When going through the primary setup, typing the Google account name, etc. It closed unexpectedly and told me it did, but it was at the end. Not sure if it was just a hiccup, but it saved my info from what I can tell and still works great. The dark theme is a perfect fit too. I look forward for future updates and will continue to use them.

I keep stock browser and chrome on both my devices but if you want to remove it you can...validus has system app remover built in...go to developer settings and its right at the top....remove whatever system stuff you don't use or want there browser is in there..then reboot...simple....or you can use apps like titanium backup or rom toolbox pro to do the same thing....I prefer rom toolbox as it does tons of stuff....great app to buy...
As for nova you can remove it the same way if you want to....or just install apex and set it as your default launcher under Home in settings menu...

Testing & Maintenance of Validus roms for Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 SM-T311
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 SM-T311.
And I am always ready to experiment on my tab.
So i can test the roms developed for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 SM-T311 and find the bugs and can maintain Validus for this device but i cant build the roms.
And i am also ready to learn how to develop a rom if you people are ready to teach me.
So please develop this great rom for this device model also.
Thank You.

Crashing of System UI
The ROM's quite smooth till now, except for the crashing of the System UI whenever the theme is changed.
It's a minor issue and can be considered a negligible one. Other than this, I find the customization options a bit limited than what the other ROMs like SpiritRom (for v4.4), offered.

Could the browser and keyboard be fixed by installing different ones from the Play Store? And then removing the stock browser and keyboard to prevent any more errors?
The wallpaper error sounds strange. Might easily be bypassable by using a third party app like Quickpic to apply both home and lock screens...maybe?
If I was a dev I would help fix the bugs most definitely. I hope somebody comes along and assists you. Looks like a worthy ROM.

Well myself and others appreciate your work. Dev for the T-Mo firmware-based ROMs seems to slowly be declining. You seem talented with your work so don't stop. :highfive:
Also I noticed you said this is run with NH7? That's mildly outdated. Your ROM doesn't flash the modem right? Also what about making the settings look like the S5? Would that be possible too? I understand some submenus like fingerprint scanner settings and download booster won't work. But it'll add to the experience. There might even be a way to remove those submenus all together.

What official firmware are you talking about? You cannot flash that firmware on our device as that firmware is for the I9505 International variant. You can flash a ROM BASED on the I9505 firmware, but you cannot directly flash a firmware for a different phone. The only available firmwares you can flash for our phone are here:

[ROM] TeleNougat V4.5

TeleNougat V4.5 for Sprint
@tdunham managed to get the stock deodexed Nougat rom which is based on the Sprint QC5 7.0 Nougat Note 5. I have everything tweaked in this rom specifically for the s6+ Sprint users.
"Features:
- Pre-Rooted with Magisk
- Hotspot enabled
- Knox Removed
- ItsOn Removed
- Extra Toggles added
- MSL disabled in ##DATA menu"
- S8 Apps:
Calculator/Calendar/Camera/Clock/Contacts/DownloadUi/Email/Galaxyapps/Gallery/Launcher feat. Hello Bixby/Lockscreen/Phone/SamsungInterent/Messages/Music/MyFiles/Phone/Video/Voicerecorder
Known Issues
1. language settings inside of Language and Input fc. (the issue is in systemui if someone wants to play around with it, may not get fixed anytime soon since no one really changes it from english anyway.
2. Hello Bixby app (uncheck video to not get a fc)
3. Night Clock and AOD doesnt work (due to kerne)
ROM INFO
Since this is stock based, everything Sprint related works. (prl, profile update, wifi calling, voicemail)
Personally prefer you to be on QC5 everything first (check general section in you need help odin to Nougat stock.)
Fresh wiped phone is always preferred before installing roms.
Flashing tutorial if needed:
1. Grab a cold one. (Key step)
2. Boot into twrp and WIPE SYSTEM, dalvik cache, cache in TWRP before flashing
3. Flash rom
4. Reboot
*dont forget that Android 7.0 is API 24 which means XPOSED will not work, there isn't an unofficial or official build for it yet.*
Rom Links:
V2 TeleNougat_V2Final4/20
V3 TeleNougat_V3
V4 TeleNougatV4_4/27Build
V4.5 TeleNougat4.5
V4.5 changelog: since noone has been complaing about the test 4.5, here it is. Bixby is pretty much perfect (if fc, clear data/cache for the app) + a few sammy updates (NOTHING MAJOR FROM 4)
V4 changelog: updated ALL SAMSUNG APPS, added samsung members, samsung flow, reminder app, added media ui sounds for rom, Galaxy themes fixed, briefing tab in Bixby working, bootscreen, few edits in build prop.
V3 changelog: updated touchwiz, calendar, clock app, s8 ringtones & media, calculator, phone app, shealth root fix, etc from S8 port base.
V2 changelog: NewStuffAddons is now built in, debloated system, s8 lockscreen, more stock features in stock mms app, no fc for device maintenance (smart manager), 3mini battery/clock, etc.
V1 changelog: Stock Deodexed

Everything is working great. I dirty flashed, though, being on QC5 already is why I did. Saved time from setting everything back up again.

Just Curious?
Do you think there's a possibility of something like this being ported over to the standard galaxy s6 (SM-G920P). I just happened to stumble upon this while doing some google searches.
even i have flashed the 70m file still .can not use data and shealth

Question to OP or anyone who would like to give feedback: If I Backup my Stock-Rooted(SU) in TWRP, then decided to use this ROM, and then also Backup this Rom. Should there be any issues on going back and fourth between the 2? Thanks in advance to anyone willing to give me feedback on this!

Yes, if you install twrp without rooting with the Magisk-v12.0 zip. Stock recovery will replace twrp recovery at least it did for me. If you try to install this Rom without root in twrp I believe your get a not rooted error. You could try it? And also that Rom is prerooted FYI.
Is there a way to add Avatar for sent messages? I tried frash install and still no luck
Great Rom, Thank you!

I flashed the ROM and everything is working great, but how do I get rid of Sprint Hands Free Activation in the installed GT Idoneapps.
When I click on Samsung DM Manager all I get is :" idoneapps is granted super user rights. No permissions to enter OMADM Hidden menu"
Thanks Again .......great rom

what are you trying to do exactly?
Maybe that will help me. I clicked it and it said the same for me
So far so good. Is there any way to disable the data usage stats on pull down? I have unlimited and don't need it. It will just bug me. Thanks a bunch
EDIT: I figured this one out myself. I am including the change in case anyone else wants the data stats removed from quick settings.
1) use ES File explorer or another root explorer.
2) copy others.Xml from "system/ csc"
3) change permissions (not sure if needed but just to be safe)
4) edit others.xml. Near bottom are the new entries for mod and I just changed <CscFeature_SystemUI_SupportDataUsageViewOnQuickPanel>FALSE</CscFeature_SystemUI_SupportDataUsageViewOnQuickPanel>. Was originally true.
5) copy over the existing file
6) reboot
7) profit.
Thanks for Rom. can't wait to get it just the way I want.

The Rom hasn't had a battery drain impact in anyway for me. Thanks again it's running buttery smooth.
