Note Pro 12.2 Samsung Keyboard - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Themes and Apps

Yes hi, I hope someone can help me with this, but, well, I use my tablet for writing a good amount of the time, but the only keyboard that has everything I need, which honestly is just sad, you'd think more would have it all.
Anyway, the only keyboard that has everything is the Samsung Keyboard that comes default in the SM-P900 firmware.
But I really want to change to CM13 because all this bloatware is seriously draining the battery, and the last time I tried to debloat the tablet myself I basically soft bricked it.
But changing to CM13 gets rid of the Samsung Keyboard. So I was hoping someone could tell me how I can reinstall it? Is there an apk someone's made out there, or is there a way I can make the samsungime file into an apk that actually works? I'm pretty much desperate here, cause every other keyboard I've tried, including Hackers Keyboard just doesn't fit.

if you send me a link to of your rom zip, I will debloat the zip and send it back to you.
as far as my experience, the samsung keyboard is reliant on samsung framework ex won't work on non samsung roms

I'm using the Samsung keyboard with Resurrection Rom with mostly success. The recents key and the screen off/lock toggle doesn't turn off the screen when you put the tablet face down on the keyboard (case mode?)
There may be a way to remap them but I haven't found it yet.

How'd you get Samsung keyboard on Res Rom? I'm on it, too, and would like to try it
Does it have one handed mode?

I misread your original post, I thought you were talking about the hardware keyboard case.

Now I have Lineages 14.1 on Note Pro 12 P900.
What can I do to be able to install and use Samsung Keyboard?

Yea i've tried third party keyboard. I like the ICS keyboard personally but thumb keyboard is great. I still have an issue where it double presses some letters which becomes annoying.

And here you are.
A feature of the old modded htc ime ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=624416 ) which i used to use on my hd2 was that you could set the volume + to be right arrow and volume - to be left arrow (or it may have been the other way around?). This was a great feature as that keyboard had no arrows either, so less space usage, but still had the ease of being able to quickly jump back a few spaces to correct a mistake. The magnify popup is sooooo slow to use when your in a hurry.
If this were possible with this keyboard it would be great.

Good work bud, hopefully we can get someone to hack those arrow keys off for us!
is this apk from a deodexed rom?, i ask because there is no classes.dex in this apk
EDIT: ok this isnt the .apk that was posted, but one i downloaded, this is from de odexed rom, i cannot/dont know how to edit a odexed .apk
need some one to test as i cannot test it, hopefully it will work , have removed arrow keys for portrait mode only , but for all languages , and for , p12, p20 and qwerty keyboards, if this doesnt work, i will not have another go at it till i get my device on monday, so i can test b4 uploading

Doesn't work here. Pushed it to system app and rebooted. Now I don't have HTC ime any more.. was I supposed to delete the original apk or not? Asking cause I did
Edit: Got my HTC ime back..with arrows
in my experience, you need to touch the edit box for the keyboard 3 times, if the mod i did is all ok this should happen:
1st time will bring up the voice
2nd time will close the voice
3rd time should bring up the keyboard
if the mod i did isnt ok
1st time will bring up the voice
2nd time the voice will start to translate...and turn blue
i have always just pushed via adb without deleteing the original .apk
also, sorry guys that this didnt work, its hard to test without a device..hopefully mine might come today, but probably monday
To be honest I don't know which edit box you are talking about
I now have both ime, yours and original. But this is how it looks like.. neither of the two imes appears at keyboard choice.
Maybe we better wait till you've got your device

Ace II (i8160) gesture keyboard not working.

Hello, i just flashed several roms in my Ace II because of the gesture keyboard not working.
I have made my searches, and found zero answer related to this, it seems no one is using gesture keyboard....
Now, on such small screen, having the gesture hability for writing saves a lot of time for me, and i think that anyone who would give it a try will keep it as primary way of writing.
The only rom in wich is working fine is in Slimrom 8.1 but i have found other complains for this one that are more important than the keyboard at the moment.
Is there any workaround?

I've been using it on the stock 4.1.2 ROM in this same phone and in 4.0.4 on Optimus 2x.
At store, there's no available google keyboard, already made the search.
BTW:
PAC rom has not working gesture keyboard, and is 4.2.2.
TeamCanjica, also is 4.2.2 and it has it not working either.
Rootbox, also is 4.2.2 and is not working.
On the contrary, SlimRom is 4.2.2 and it has it working.
I'm no expert but shouldn't this be in the "general" section? o.0
Google Keyboard (same as AOSP from 4.2.2) has gesture typing, SwiftKey has gesture typing and Swype has gesture typing. If one of those doesn't work you might wanna contact the app support directly. All I know is Google Keyboard and SwiftKey work perfect on stock and Cyanogenmod.
Google Keyboard is available for the Ace II. In fact I think it's compatible with ALL devices so I don't know why you're not finding it. I'd be certain it's likely to be something on your end.

It seems to be working, but only makes the trace and nothing is written.
Swiftkey and swype have their own drawbacks, both are really c..p finding and predicting words in anything than english, and i need it working fine in Spanish, there google keyboard is unbeatable.
Also, those both apps are paid, google is not only free, IT WORKS.

Nothing wrong in MY end, i've made the search inside the phone and directly with my computer browsing/searching play store, and it does not appear AT ALL.
I also checked some days ago with the Optimus 2x because i dislike the keyboard that came with a custom rom, nothing appeared... And also, both phones use different google account. (just in case)
So.. It seems that the keyboard may be been removed or is only available for older versions wich need update.
EDIT: Sorry... Sometimes you need to kill someone... I'll kill google...
Well, Google keyboard will NEVER appear for spanish... "Teclado de Google" does...
Really sorry... sometimes takes me some time stop thinking on english.
Anyway, it says is not compatible with ANY of my devices.... : wallbash:
Well it's definitely still there for me whatever ROM I'm using so i don't know what to tell you

ai.type seems pretty close to a samsung keypad
Nah no good. I like the gaps between keys for my fat fingers
Actually it's a pain in the ass to write in 3 different languages with most 3rd party keyboards. Swift/Swype are not usable with a Thai keyboard layout and additional Swiss and English layout. Samsung keyboard was the best and my error rate is 50% higher on any other keyboard even after several months of usage.
I've been looking for a port every time I had to use a non-Samsung device in recent months. There is simply none available.
I think it would be quite easy for someone who ported apps in the past. I guess the TouchWiz dependencies are minimal and could probably be circumvented somehow,.

Porting the Original S6 Keyboard is Not Possible Possible and easy also because Of Touchwiz-Framework Requirement.
But U can get S6 Like Themed Keyboard. (As Apple themed keyboard is Same as S6 )

Notes:
First boot takes 10 minutes
For sNote flash with twrp this archive: https://yadi.sk/d/EZ4cqQof3GfHbw Dont update it in galaxy apps. It will not work.
Not working:
camera
smart stay
screen mirroring
Known issues:
Haptic feedback does not work. Original tablet doesn't have vibrator.
You cant choose lock screen animation. Original firmware doesn't have that choice.
sNote from galaxy apps doesn't work.
mhl works with inverted colors in ui. videos play normally.

I do need the gps, a lot might install it later and make a TWRP image of it later for certain occasions
very excited to see MM available on the heavily neglected $1000 tab
does it have the same multi window style that the p900 had' drag from top corners to make floating window and swipe from side for tray?
I really don't like the new multi window style on the Note 5 / newer, seems inferior
Really want to flash this but don't want to lose gps either... decisions, decisions. Camera I can do without.
Some feedback
Hi, yesterday I tried your ROM and it's very nice !
Unfortunately, I enconter some bugs: GPS and Camera has you know but also bluetooth not working properly and Samsung Account not working.
Now I restored to the original one because I need the external keyboard.
Let's hopes you can clear out in the next build this bugs.
Just my feedback to help you.

Back up your previous rom and files onto an external micro sd? That's what I've done. I'm curious enough to try this on my trusty P900 and see what happens. I do hope bluetooth works for my well-used logitech keyboard. If not, it might be a short-lived experiment. But I have to encourage *anyone* who would venture out to aid this great piece of hardware with an update.
So... as soon as the download finishes.... (hopefully) I'll be back!
Installed this. **WOW**
Yes, Bluetooth works. I'm typing on my Logitech Keyboard via this rom right now.
Yes, soundcamp works a charm on this.
Yes, the touchwiz is nifty.
Yes, I rooted it with SuperSU v2.79 zip file (flashed from TWRP).
No camera? I've used mine maybe three times -- none of which led to good pictures -- since I owned this tablet. (Warning: if you open the camera app, it kinda locks up the tablet.)
No GPS? I have a phone.
Please... keep developing this! I am adopting it as my go-to rom for the present and likely for quite a while. Now... back to soundcamp! Oh, by the way... on a tablet soundcamp gives you *two* keyboards on one screen.
Thanks for making this ROM.
Can anyone post some screenshots?
I added photos in op
Gps fixed. I'm stuck with camera. I wanted to make rom without any modifications in framework. Now i'm with camera and externaldisplay. I think it's the same issue something there. If I cant solve it soon, so i will have to upload rom without camera.
Anyway I'm really happy with this rom, it's much faster and responsive than 5.0.2 stock or mm from tab s.
Installed but does not boot. Stuck on Samsung logo.
Any ideas? Thanks

Probably you didnt wait enough. First boot takes 12-15 min.
Or you didnt wipe data partition.
Eager to get the GPS - working version... but hey, until then... here's a couple snaps. My desktop. And Soundcamp's two keyboards on the Pro 12's screen. Second (Samsung) desktop wallpaper. And rom info from setup.
