Dual SIM support on LG G5 - Sprint LG G5 Questions & Answers

Was wondering, if we could have dual sim enabled on LG G5 sprint model?
Any idea on how to do this?
Also, any idea on the 4G LTE bands for this handset? Does it support LTE bands 800 / 850 & 2300?
Would appreciate any help..

The Dual Sim version of the G5 is the H868 [Dual Sim]: GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 WCDMA: B1/B2/B5/B8 LTE: B1/3/7/38/39/40/41
LS992 [Sprint]: CDMA: BC0, BC1, BC10 GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 WCDMA: B2/B4/B5 LTE: B2/4/5/7/12/25/26/41

Hardware difference?

Got it.. So is it that both of them have different hardware or is it just a difference between ROM / Kernel?
Any way in which we can enable dual sim option on LS992?

Hello, is the nexus 7 32gb LTE unlocked? So if i order one from amazon or other american site can i use the cellular network here?
Here we have.
Vodafone CZ uses the GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / UMTS 2100.
and nexus 7 has..Optional 4G LTE
North America:
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
HSPA+: 850/900/1900/1700/2100 (AWS) MHz (Bands: 1/2/4/5/8)

Europe:
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
HSPA+: 850/900/1900/1700/2100 (AWS) MHz (Bands: 1/2/4/5/8)
LTE: 800/850/1700/1800/1900/2100/2600 MHz (Bands: 1/2/3/4/5/7/20)
Thank you
It worked for the 2012 model. Not sure about the new one...
Unlocked Confirmed
Ok I found out it's ships out unlocked.

Does this do HSPA?

Oppo 7 Advertises:
Mexico & US:
GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900MHz
WCDMA: 850/900/1700/1900/2100 MHz
FDD-LTE: Bands B1/4/17
AT&T Bands:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AT&T_Mobility#Radio_frequency_summary
Here's my question:
I see 850 MHz for both GSM/GPRS/EDGE and HSPA+... Does this mean that it will default to HSPA+ when it exists?
I just don't want it to toggle from LTE to 2G, heh...

Yes. Default preference order is LTE, then HSPA+/WCDMA, then EDGE/GPRS/GSM

Sony Xperia T2 Ultra D5303 2g?

I got the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra D5303 from amazon and I am in the US using tmobile. I only get edge or 2g? Is there anyway around this? Thanks for any help

Sorry, but no. The radio in the D5303 does not support the bands used by T-Mobile for 3G. You need the D5306 to get full 3G and 4G coverage in the USA for both carriers. However, you should be able to get 3G from AT&T (or an AT&T-based MVNO) on the D5303.
- Bands used by the carriers -
3G on AT&T: 850 up/down, 1900 up/down
3G on T-Mo: 1700 up, 2100 down
4G on AT&T: Bands 2, 4, 5, 17,
4G on T-Mo: Band 4
- Bands supported by the Sony T2 Ultra -
D5303: 3G - 850, 900, 2100; 4G - Bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20
D5306: 3G - 850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100; 4G - Bands 2, 4, 7, 17
For AT&T, as long as your phone has one of the bands, you should be good, as each band is upload/download. For T-Mobile, however, your phone needs both bands (one for upload and one for download).
Thanks so much for your help. would this work on tmobile?
2G: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900, 3G: HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 1700, 4G: HSPA+ HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 1700
Hi...I'm a complete novice to all this, so this may be a silly question.
Can I simply buy a spare radio (either from a D5306 or another compatible device) and swap them out?
Thanks!
Possibly. TMobile is 'refarming' their network to support 3G/4G (HSPA+) over 1900. IF you live in an area that has not been 'refarmed' then you will need radios for AWS which are 1700/2100.

Will unlocked Sprint's galaxy s6 work with european carrier (UMTS 900/2100, no LTE)?

I want to pick one from ebay, but I'm not sure that it will work with my carrier.
Could anyone confirm which UMTS bands supports Sprint's galaxy s6?
I'm a bit confused: some pages say that there is no UMTS, others say there is UMTS I need, but I need GalaxyTools to enable UMTS mode..
the S6 for sprint (G920P) supports the following Radio Bands, per Samsung's Product Page
Infra: 2G GSM, 2G CDMA, 3G UMTS, 3G CDMA, 4G FDD LTE, 4G TDD LTE;
2G GSM: GSM850, GSM900, DCS1800, PCS1900;
2G CDMA: CDMA800, USPCS1900;
3G UMTS: B1(2100), B2(1900), B5(850), B8(900);
3G CDMA: BC0(800), BC1(1900), BC10(800);
4G FDD LTE: B2(1900), B4(AWS), B5(850), B12(700), B25(1900), B26(800);
4G TDD LTE: B41(2500)
your 900/2100 request seems to match the phone's hardware, you just need a sim unlocked device.
Perfect! Thanks!

Ignore the LG site.
It only lists bands which are supported DIRECTLY in that region, not the bands the phone supports via hardware.
Where are you buying the phone from? The seller should list the bands on the phone, but all the bands are printed on the box itself.
The phones also say "GSM only no CDMA" but WCDMA bands even work. I don't know if CDMA or WCDMA are the same thing or not.
Keep in mind ONLY the european version (not the EAW) can be rooted right now.
Here are the bands the EAW version supports:
. GSM: 850.900/1800/1900. WCDMA: 850/900/1700/1800/1900/2100. TD-SDMA: 1900/2000. LTE: B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B12/B13/B17/B20/B28/B38/B39/B40/B41
Working perfect for me here in Europe.

Does this mean it will or will not work in USA TMobile? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-4988
I see that table lists:
1900 MHz (Band 2) 4G LTE
1700/2100 MHz (Band 4 and 66) 4G LTE
850 MHz (Band 5) 4G LTE
700 MHz (Band 12) 4G LTE
600 MHz (Band 71) 4G LTE
How do I match this up with those bands you've listed? It looks like Bands 66 and 71 are not supported by phone. Does that mean it will not work?
thanks

I answered this question earlier in your other post. Remember I own this phone on tmobile.
No one uses band 66 or 71 from what i've seen anywhere.
Tmobile uses band 4, 2 in some areas, or 12. At least from what I've seen.
You're overanalyzing things now.
I've tested the bands in the service menu.
Why don't you call t-mobile and ask them if they use a strange band like 66 in your area? I've never heard of that before.

Does the LMG710EAW really support both bands 7 and 20? My research turned up that it supported band 7 (2600mhz) but not band 20 (800 mhz) or is this just due to them only listings bands from that region?
I ordered one without maybe doing my due diligence and Vodafone UK for 4G is bands 7 and 20
I have both LMG710EAW and LMG710ULM in hands, LMG710EAW doesn't seem to support B20, as in the parking area I get 4G on ULM but not with EAW.
But it's strange as today I had a look on the original packing of ULM, it's written with B20 support???
Also from LG site, FDD 4G Networks, without B20: 2100(B1) / 1800(B3) / 850(B5) / 2600(B7) / 900(B8) / 700(B28) MHz
