Looking forward to checking this out. Thanks for the hard work!

No access to the AFH folder?

Sorry

Always great to see new projects, looking forward to trying this out. Known issues? Also, is hotspot hacked or will I need to handle that?

Everything seems to be working just fine for me (wifi, bluetooth, security settings lol (inside joke), battery, apps, etc... I dont know if calling or messaging works since I dont have an account with sprint so how about you let me know sounds good? Also Im chefing up a new CM13 Rom for you guys who have been waiting.

Is there a minimum baseband the phone needs to be on prior to flashing?

Thanks @lilferraro for this and to all the contributors for your hard work on this. Bliss Pop on N4....Cool. Everything has been running smooth for the last 12 hours and the battery seems to be pretty stable and I was not at 100% when I flashed the ROM about 11am. I do have the ZL so I am going to see just how long it goes until I have to charge again. Bluetooth, data, wifi all worked out of the box with the exception of SMS send. I received fine but had to do the *#*#4636#*#* thingy to send, but that's no biggie since it takes all of 30 seconds.
BTW - In settings when I try to use the "equalizer" function it causes settings to FC
I used the steps below and then I followed the OP and it's all good.
Odin N910PSPT4DPE1
Odin TWRP Works best if you "untick auto-reboot" in Odin and do a battery pull and boot TWRP then reboot system..
Flashed [STABLE][2016.09.01] SuperSU v2.78 - TWRP / FlashFire installable ZIP

I'm fresh on OK1. Almost everything seems to be running smoothly except Bluetooth. Things such as my headphones and speaker pair up but as soon as I play music it just disconnects and reconnects over and over again.

Thank you for letting me know. It's a problem with the proprietary blobs. Do you know of any Roms for this phone that the Bluetooth works cuz I'll grab the Bluetooth blobs from their source...

I built this ROM for PG1. Did you have any issues being on that baseband/bootloader or was PE1 the only way to solve your issue?

Emotion R9 had everything running perfect. Same thing with R14 (second release). With Emotion R9 it was advised to use either OG5 or OK1 for best results. Emotion R14 was okay with both Lollipop and Marshmallow basebands.

No I was on OK1 for a prior N5 port but decided to upgrade the firmware for this ROM. Used the Bluetooth several times yesterday and so far all seems good but will keep testing and and keep you posted. Talked to my wife for about an hour on BT, if that don't kill it nothing will. Still running smooth this morning.

Super excited to see Bliss ROM for our phones! Going to upgrade from OK1 (finally) and try this shortly. I've been running RR for months now because it's been very solid for me.

I've always been wondering where Bliss or Paranoid have been for this phone. Nice to see.
I know with all aosp, there have been problems with BT. Especially BT calling. IMO Emotion is the best bug free so far, maybe get in touch with @SaintZ93. Maybe you guys can figure it out.
Thanks for your hard work.

MMS work for anyone? Been saying sending pic for a while
edit think its working seems to have sent and received. now. just failed first attempt....

I didn't assume anything. I was merely giving advice. The op stated that bt had issues. And i just stated that alot of aosp roms are having problems making bt call

4.19.2013 - Tester #2 EOS4 - 4.2.2
First and foremost to use this rom you must have zvb installed. Coming from ICS will not work.
- Rom is now able to be under volted. It will not stick at 1026mhz anymore. I am safely running at 270mhz currently.
- New Media Profiles, Codecs and thermald Confs
- New Default governer is Intellidemand
- Eco Mode has been added. (dual core operations) We should be able to use this app:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37464463
- Reverted back to my original MMS configs. I have yet to test it, but Shel told me they were working on CM...please someone test and report back with LOGS if it doesnt!
- Baseband is now reporting modem based on grep in About Phone. Thank you Shelnuts and Kaik541 originally!
- CM camera has been added (Power shutter still needs to be added, it will not work), Auto Focus is now working on the camera
- Updated EOS Performance settings
- You can now Copy inside Google Talk (No idea why its not stock!)
With many more tweaks as well!
Download Suggested to avoid any corruptions that you factory resest (Yes I know its a pain, but it helps to get rid of any lingering issues. Do not restore data either, just apps with your backups)
http://d-h.st/L7W
04.16.2013 - Test Rom- EOS4 4.2.2
First and foremost to use this rom you must have zvb installed. Coming from ICS will not work.
Known to be working
- Camera is working. Its still a wip. I have noticed that auto focus isnt very strong. Thank you Shelnutt2!!!
- LED does work. You just need to enable it via settings/display http://bit.ly/ZoRg71
- Wired Headset now works
- Bluetooth works
- MMS still needs a little work ( I am pretty sure we need to tweak the RIL). You can use GOSMS without any issues.
- Calls will hang up briefly and immediately dial out afterwards. (This happens on JB modem)
- You will not have any of the display issues we had previously. They should be all cleaned up.
New Features added
- Eos Control Center has been moved to settings. There is no longer an icon for it.
- You can now copy and paste within Talk.
- Full Mako kernel with tweaks. This kernel is based off Faux123's kernel source and has been made to work with LGOG. Max frequency is 1512mhz and Min freq can go as low 162mhz (but I am pretty sure this wont work. You will get deep sleeps and no wakes) I have mine set at 384mhz. You can now tweak other kernel settings as well. Such as vibration strength, fast charge and others. Sound can also be tweaked with Faux123's Sound application from play store. I have been using the trickster mod for kernel changes as well as performance settings in ECC. I would like to thank Synergye for helping bring this kernel to us. Awesome job he did!!!!
Faux123's original kernel can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2008222 ***Do not flash this! Its not done by name and will brick you pretty well! Cant believe I need to add this! ****
Download
http://d-h.st/cbn
I do ask that if you are going to report issues please have a logcat to go with complaint. I cant trouble shoot it if I cant see the issue and why its happening.
First things first. I will be maintaining this device for teameos.
I would like to thank Synergye for all of his hard work getting this kernel up and running.
Shelnut2 and thecubed for Freegee. Without this app none of this would of been possible.
Shelnut2 for his work on getting the trees up and running.
Theo289 for putting up with me and testing everything that I have thrown his way.
Mike_77, what a soldier. He lost a few devices along the way, but I think its all his fault.
Autoprime for discovering the importance of EFS back up. Life Saver!
BigRushdog and the rest of the EOS team for their awesome rom. Great work!
Any thank you to anyone else I have forgotten along the way.
What Needs to be fixed
Camera still needs TLC
GPS is fully working in this build. If you are having issues. Please revert back to stock get a GPS lock, then reflash this rom. A few have had issues and this has helped to fix it.
MMS. As for now GOSMS will send/receive MMS. I am pretty positive we need some TLC on our custom RIL that Shelnut2 put together. We have a possible fix that I will let BRD or Auto explain which entails deleting the telephony.db file that will help you to get MMS on stock.
If you find anything is not working please let me know. We have tested this through and through. Its good to go, but please remember this is a work in progress.
Enjoy!
and mine!!
..because I can
PS..

Whoops forgot I was still on the main account.
Congrats on the release.
I was running it last night. GPS connected instantly. Couldn't connect to 3G, but LTE connected. NFC worked.
Didn't try the MMS mix by deleting telephony.db
Nice!

+1, 3G works just fine for me.
This is an awesome rom. It's super stable. Been running it for a day, and I've seen no force closures. The only issues that I've run across is weird animations while opening apps. It flickers from the newly opened app what was on the screen previously back to the app. It's also evident in Shellnut2's CM10.1 builds.
Any way to remove the screen brightness adjuster in the status bar toggle menu? It's obnoxiously huge.
I've noticed that the wired headset problem is only a problem when using it to make phone calls. Using it as headphones works just fine.
I'm thrilled to see more developers develop for this phone.
It will be interesting to see who gets the camera running first....

you can remove the screen brightness adjuster in the EOS Control Center. We are all working on the camera together, well Shel more then me. I was given GPS and MMS to work on. Since the start this has always been a joint effort. Glad you are enjoying it.
Wow, this looks great. I'll wait until mms and camera are fixed before I use it though.

Since the beginning of Android, cam has always been the mother of aosp challenges. It's proprietary technology in which source code is not provided. Thus android does not know how to communicate with the camera hardware layer. Very basically.
OK guys I feel stupid. I am trying to install the ROM and GAPPS everything installs fine but I have no mobile network I restored my EFS just to see it that would help but did not help. I did get to play with the software and it was great thanks for any help in advance.

Damn, this rom looks too good to be true for the Vision. Thanks for the efforts!
Lookin' pretty dang good! Cant wait for this! KitKat here I come! Are there any known bugs and how often will we get OTAs? It should at least get me away from sense, as I am using Ice Cream SENSEwich atm, which is pretty nice. And how stable is this?

Email notified me by waking me up so I'll download now and install tomorrow if the download hasn't failed (rubbish net). CANT WAIT
EDIT at NEAR 1 AM: I couldnt sleep without trying it. I found my temple run 2 apk on my sd card and tested that because gapps is taking forever to download. Looks like the fastest, smoothest, coolest, great rom I have ever seen. WILL be keeping! Thanks Marco! 1 bug is that the boot animation is a bit off on both sides of the screen. Not that important as I have my own animation lying around somewhere
Wich rom is more recommended tfor daily use? This? Cyan? or the Alpha3 from flinny?

This ROM is VERY stable and I would recommend it for daily use. It runs quite fast as said, faster than any other ROM I've tried

really faster than Flinny's alpha 3?
How much ram used? I don't have less than 65% used on flinny's builds and around 80-85 on normal use.
No GPS and wifi bug on this rom?

Hi, when you thing it will be fixed? ROM is pretty amazing. I have to say its fastest what I seen so far, but i need GPS too. If it will be in days it would be nice, but if weeks, i will have to switch back and wait. And as i think, all of us hate waiting. :crying:
But anyways, thanks for a great job and keep carry on. :good:
Wow. Bit off-topic, but anyone, while charging their desire z or g2, tried rubbing the left, right or top metal bits and feel vibration then get a static small electric shock?!?!?!?! Its really strange.
Ok, on-topic. Would I have permission, in the land of open-source freedom (even though I am still asking), be allowed to modify this rom, and publish it onto another thread, branded with a different name? Or would it be something that I keep to myself, mainly to make more of a lighter version of the rom. Even though it is VERY light already xD

Yes, I already noticed this. It's pretty cool the 'electric shock' :good:
As you already noticed I only shared the rom to our device, but I think that the dev will allow you. What do you thing @codexc ?

The shock would be good for shocking friends xD
I am a pure beginner at Android Roms and the desire z. I didn't have a phone for a while after I sold my Motorola, so I have a bit of catching up with 4.4 and ADB to do first, before I learn developing things. I am first doing a few tweaks to an unzipped zip of this rom, for myself atm, to see. I found that the LCD Density looks good at setting 182.
I am glad that this is helping my Computer Science studies as well because it requires knowledge of programming.
It is fine if I am not allowed to redistribute because I will mostly be testing stuff out so it will probably be a bit unstable

What rhymes with IOKP? IOAP!!!!
Infamous Open ANDROID Project!
I know you are thinking, how is this possibly different from our open kang project?
IOKP is based upon AOKP, as I had mention in my previous blog, where as IOAP IS based upon AOSP.
For me personally, it is matter of preference. I always notice AOSP to be of a much smoother bread.
I know google has done so well with Kitkat that unless you are very nit picking person, you will not really notice much of a difference.
Am I biased? Damn right I am.
Given the current state of IOKP, IOAP is of a much richer project.
I call IOAP because well, it is pack with features.
It comes with halo, something most of us either hate or love and the rest are indifferent.
It comes MultiWindow, something we have managed to work great along side HALO.
Of course there is a catch, you can only work with one or the other, not both at the same time.
IOAP comes with active display and a new form of notifications that has started surfacing around, lockscreen notifications.
For those of you who do not know, lockscreen notifications is feature that allows well, your notifications to show up on your original kitkat lockscreen.
It comes with pocket mode, gives you option to hide low priority notifications, notification counts, and many other options you will have to explore yourself.
So in a nutshell, lockscreen notifications is a better active display.
Again I ask you, am I biased? HELL YAH!
What I want you to do is this: Flash IOKP if you haven’t already (I mean really? You haven’t yet?) and than flash our IOAP located here, (NOT AVAILABLE for m7vzw).
Once you have done this, let us know about your preference!
As Mr. Infamous likes to put it and I quote:
Ioap has everything, lol
Remember, Infamous Open Android Project would not be possible without Mr. Impossible.
If you see him around (Bill that is) do not hesitate to send a few thank you his way!
HAPPY FLASHING! (More devices to come!)

It is and there are settings for quality, etc under Settings > Display > Screen Record.
To do it via the built n Kitkat way, you can use this method: LINK
There's probably an app that makes it even easier, but I don't know of it off hand.
I don't know if that's quite what you had in mind.
It also has screen-casting which is different then record.
Oh and thanks, I'm glad you are enjoying it. :good:

NuK3rn3L-KK-Aosp added to the OP - for those that may be looking for more options.
It's an M7 source tree revert with some added functionality.
Make sure to nandroid first.
After an hour with this ROM, I think I have a new favorite, especially after adding your kernel. Thank you again Santod! Another donation is on the way once I get paid. Two questions if I may: GPS can't lock on even in hi accuracy mode. Even cleared GPS state with GPS Status app and then downloaded new data with it. It just spins. May be related to the snow storm we have right now though Other question is how to replicate Kill Recent Apps without installing Gravity Box or Xposed. I found the option buried in the OmniGear settings but I don't see the "Show Clear All Button". Breathing Notifications don't seem to work for me either. Again thanks for great work.
UPDATE: Figured out Kill All Recents option. Go to Settings, IOAP Controls, Navigation, Hardware Buttons and set Home Key Double Tap to Recents. Now the OmniGear Recents Menu options are in play. Breathing feauture last one needed to figure out...

Like other AOSP ROM's, you must get a GPS lock on a Sense ROM first, then wipe and flash/restore the AOSP ROM.

Holy sh!t...this ROM is FANTASTIC. Been running it for 2 hours and already it's my favorite AOSP kang. Smooth, crisp, elegant, great feature set (and sure to get even better)...overall this is really my style of ROM. @santod040 do you ever SLEEP? Mad props for bringing yet another quality product to m7vzw!
so i have to be on the latest firmware in order to flash this rom?

Open recent apps then long press on the two apps you want to be in multi view. You have to enable in the settings first. It's the same box as halo except don't open halo.

Information
These are the monthly releases of CM with some modifications and touch ups that will be listed below, They are meant for users who want a stable ROM without the need to flash nightly releases and risking a Nandroid, anyone who has enjoyed the stability of my Google Edition ROM should give this a go
all builds have their core features tested (Camera, bluetooth, bluetooth audio, tethering, USB audio, Data, Voice calls etc), I also adb debug each release and look for any redflags, I then set up the phone and daily drive it with a few of my testers and once I deem the release stable it will be posted here.
Note: The CM camera works but it's not the best, SnapCam HDR (Paid app) from the market is much more stable and has a ton more features (these developers only focus on the 4.4 open source camera and making it better), I highly suggest doing what I do and removing the stock Camera and Gallery and using this awesome app which also includes a gallery with more features, myself and ktoonsez swear by it. The stock files are found in system/app.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Features
-CM Stable branch based
-Updated and debloated gapps
- No rom branding - I don't flash my name around in the settings menu anywhere, keeping it stock AOSP.
-Stock CM kernel
-Nova launcher
-Improved CM Auto brightness values (Stock is way to Dim)
-Android L boot animation
-adb shell fixes
-Ext SD permissions added in platform
-Zip aligned
-No extra bloat
-Settings menu revamped and more organized
-Teleservice event notification options removed as they are not working
-Tested by an established developer and solid testers before release goes live to the public

*dirty flash if coming from previous release is fine, just wipe caches first, no need to flash gapps unless full wiping*
08/05/2014 stable 2

06/01/2014
I was VERY happy with how 5/31/2014 ran on my phone but noticed a few commits merged last night that were authored by bossman Cyanogen himself, so here is your changelog. I feel like the foundations of this ROM are set now which I knew would take a few builds
so if all goes well with this, I will start bi-weekly releases because I'm extremely sick of full wiping/testing/compiling, I just wanna use my phone as a phone!!
stagefright: yield callbackDispatcher to writer only for video
libstagefright: Fix to handle EAGAIN error on first read to source
audio: mute duration at the beginning of recording
Bluetooth: Fix for device gets stuck in pairing
Bluetooth: turn on lcd during Connection

appops: Fix WIFI_SCAN AppOp permission index

Added Stock MMS back in the build as it's theme friendly
Made number picker dialog in MMS and Contacts a neutral gray so no theme will make the txt invisible

CMAccount: fix setup wizard crash
Themes: Add read/write permissions - 2 commits
Fix broken tags
Remove Status bar notification count checkbox preference <--- main reason for this update, I don't like broken toggles in my settings menus, no idea why CM just leaves them in there, it's rather annoying when there is ZERO java controlling them

this went live yesterday for t-mo and at&t, feedback has been excellent
enjoy!
Thanks for this again Dan.
Just to let everyone know, Dan's CM rom is an absolute keeper. Been on his GE rom for many months now which has been brilliant, and i never thought i would come off it until i tried this rom.
Been on it for a couple of days now as Dan was kind enough to give me a test, and all i can say is up to now it is totally faultless! I don't even need to install Xposed/gb any more as this does pretty much everything you will ever need as standard.
Great work mate, and many thanks again

s-view cover calls are proprietary code from Samsung and will only work on touchwiz at the moment, I'm waiting to see if they implement it into 4.4.3 GE because they gave it the shaft in 4.4.2.
I too have been using your google rom for ages, time for a change :good:
ok, thanks.
in which case, would including this app within the rom run any differently than if i just install is the normal way?
https://f-droid.org/repository/browse/?fdid=org.durka.hallmonitor
have heard great reviews about your roms, as i've been looking for a fairly plain/clean rom that's totally bug free and good to go for my daily driver, but most things i've tried have had call issues or other sound bugs and random reboots. your rom's seem pretty stable by all accounts, but i really want s-view cover to work.
the hall monitor app is the best i;ve tried, but sometimes still a bit glitchy, so just wondered if it's any different including it in a rom compared to installing the apk (and then maybe using TB to convert to system app or soemthing like that?)

Whats the battery life like in comparison to the GE rom?!
@Danvdh
What are the main benefits from this rom over GE's?

It's a later revision of 4.4.2, KVT49L. It also doesn't need gravitybox for the goodies, Everything works well, battery is good and it's just as fast. try for yourself mate, I'm enjoying it but that doesn't mean I plan to abandon my GPE ROM, It's just done it's development cycle and I'm waiting for 4.4.3 to do any further work on it. (next decade or century lol)
Some people might prefer google play edition because they want just a vanilla android experience with no extra features, as for this ROM nothing is reported broken, I'm getting better bluetooth performance as well! Camera is looking good, I have no problems with Instagram camera either using both front and back for video and pictures, it seems more and more apps are supporting open source drivers!
So yeah, the choice is yours mate, try it out and if you like it, stick with it, if not just use my GPE, you don't have to worry about it because I'll be supporting both for as long as I have this device (I don't ever plan on selling it if I get another phone, you will probably leave the S4 before I do) either way, I have ROM that makes my userbase happy so its down to whichever you prefer, userbase happy = Dan and ktoonsez happy

it performs very well mate, I'll need to go through a few cycles to know for sure but it's definitely not worse, it also depends on how you setup your kernel settings in ktweaker and what apps you use, some apps ppl need push notifcations wakelock in the background, the more of these you have the faster you will drain, but to answer the question in more detail, if you were to flash this and my GPE on 2 S4's and not install ANYTHING and keep both phones clean with no apps, I'm sure you will see very comparable results, Ktoonsez has been using CM for ages and he get's like 3 days on a single charge if not more... he's OCD with battery life

will perform the same I'd imagine, User app just needs you to confirm permissions, System app automatically approves the permissions, System app might be better for something always running in the background however

Changelogs
As we're getting back into the thread game, keeping up with threads and updating them as per changelogs can be too hectic given our schedule. However, very detailed changelogs always go up on our Google+ page, follow us for constant updates!
Instructions & requirements
We highly recommend you to follow these instructions very carefully. Users usually tend to skip a few steps and eventually fall in trouble. Are you with me? Good. Let's get this train going.
Just a few things to keep in mind first -
If you're coming from another ROM / Stock, your system data (not internal storage) will have to be wiped. This includes apps, accounts, messages, call logs etc.
There's been some users complaining about different GAPPS variants messing up installs and causing a ton of issues. Upon investigating it seems OpenGapps Mini/Nano and Banks GAPPS work best.
Understand that Paranoid Android is a custom ROM and it might lead to addiction as it's relatively good. We shouldn't be accused of anything just incase your cat starts drinking wine. Things get a little woozy in the Paranoid World.
Some brain might be involved if things go wrong. Not a lot though, as much to solve what's 1+1.
Okay let's get to the main bit -
Once you have all the required files - boot into recovery and wipe the bananas out of your device. Get into the wipe menu and wipe data, system, cache and dalvik cache (basically everything except Internal Storage).
Once wiped, get into the "Install from zip" menu and select the ROM zip. (pa_robin_6.x...). Once added to the install queue, TWRP will ask you if you want to add more zips into the queue - Click on "add more zips" and select the GAPPS package.
Swipe the bar on the bottom to flash/install zips. Once both zips are done installing - Reboot into system and set-up your device, do not do anything else.
Once you're done setting up your device - well that's when you're done. One thing though - Make sure you DO NOT INSTALL any other zip in the same queue as the ROM & GAPPS. Meaning, do not flash anything like a kernel or a root package while installing the ROM. We recommend you do that AFTER you're done setting up your device.

Nice work!
SO much YASSSS!
No battery charging light, no way to disable notification light pulse while in DND.
Strange, there are apps that aren't showing up in "apps with usage access" greenify and screenwise meter require this on.
This rom makes the phone buttery smooth and fast! It's a whole new beast that's for sure.
Edit: attached is a general log. There's some quirkiness to the rom.
Best custom rom ever tried on the Robin. Totally lagfree, smooth and bugless.

Yeah, it actually works after clearing my cache and dalvik + a reboot. Overall the rom is working pretty great now
Android wear bluetooth battery optimization
Morning all. I have been using this Rom for about 5 days now and I love everything about it except 2 things: Android Wear and Bluetooth optimization for it. I use the Huawei Watch and on the stock ROM, my phone battery lasts about a day and a half of light use with the watch connected at all times. And if I were to go into battery stats, everything would look normal. Since switching to PA, My battery lasts barely 4 hours when I'm not using it. When I look at the battery stats, it shows Bluetooth just draining it 99%. Are there some tweaks you plan on doing to this ROM in order for Smartwatch users to be able to use this as well? This ROM is awesome, but unless there is some sort of fix for this, I can't use it. Is anyone else having this issue? I am willing to provide logs as well, if someone can advise me how to take them.

Hey thanks for pointing this out! You can do an adb logcat, or download aLogcat to get the log: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.jtb.alogcat&hl=en

Thank you very much we will investigate the cause of the issue
I have the same issue with my Pebble, battery stats reported Bluetooth percentage 126%!!
As reported on Nextbit Community thread, I have several problems on phone calls, some freeze and reboots (the last one today, using Waze).
And a very huge battery drain, mainly on mobile network activities (not only for data, but for phone signal too).
With the Stock ROM, battery lasts more than a day; actually, I'm charging 2-3 times a day, when the main usage for me is on email (Gmail with Exchange working account).
Hope next version could work better on my Robin!

Bluetooth is weird. There is miscalculation on the battery usage.

I'm having the same issue. Also battery life really bad when I leave BT on
Has anyone gotten Viper4Android to work in this ROM? I placed the APK in priv-app to install it, but sound isn't processed.
Same (Bluetooth) battery issues
I'm having the same problems as others, so far. I have a Pebble watch with me at all time, which means bluetooth stays on at all times. My battery is less than optimal after flashing PA. Whenever I check the battery page, Bluetooth is the only thing that shows up. No Screen, or WiFi, or any other apps for that matter.
Don't know how to share screenshots here, but it's more or less identical. 80% battery left, battery page shows 20% of battery taken by Bluetooth.
I'm currently running CM but has the same problem. Amplify seems to have fixed this Bluetooth bug for me.
