[Q] Please help with BootLoop after screen replecement - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So i had a cracked screen, ordered a new one of aliexpress. Exchanged it, turned on the phone and got the boot loop.
I read that exchanging the screen acts like a new hardware ID and this is why i get the LOOP.
So i wanted to turn off the cores:
- installed drivers from LG.com
- used original cable
I hold the volume up button, plug the phone and still get to the boot loop. No download mode. How could my download mode be erased if i changed the screen?
I also sent the phone into warranty but they said because i exchanged the screen they will not fix the boot loop!!! LG are a bunch of assholes but that is a story for another time.
If you can think of something regarding to how i can get into Download Mode, please let me know
Thank you
UPDATE: I changed the cable and now the download mode icon appears and after 3 seconds the phone resets and download mode appears again (if i keep pressing vol up) and so on.. It does not actually enter the download mode.

is there any way to force bootloop???? with a kdz file or changing something with root permision ??? i need to send my phone to the SAT

[Q] Phone displays on

Hello guys, today i have a problem with my phone... Yesterday at the evening connect my phone with pc, and put my phone in download mode (up volume + power), then i started a download of firmware from the net, but i got a call from my boss and he asked me to go work immidiately. I have forgot to disconnect my phone from the pc, and when i come back after about 6-8 hours, the screen was stuck, i have tried to turn off and on my phone, but screen was stuck. I have pull out the battery, and put it back again. Then i pressed the power button, and screen was stuck at that image (showed in the photo attachment). When i try to click any button, volume or power, that image just disappears for second and then showing up again. I cannot go to fastboot mode, i cant go to download mode, i cant boot up the phone, when i connect it to pc, odin recognizes it, but when i try to load a firmware on my phone, odin writes something about "waiting for connect your phone" - endlessly.
What should i do? Need help please...
Sorry for my english
up didnt solved it yet

did you try entering Download mode?
Phone stuck in bootloop, help please
wrong trhead
Are you sure you there is no fastboot and no download mode?
You can enter download mode by pressing and holding the “Volume Up” and connecting the USB cable from phone to PC
If it works then you Soft bricked it...And you can use this guide to fix it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
.
.
.
BUT if that does not work then you Hard bricked the phone
I had that problem because of flashing with faulty win8 drivers...no download mode or fastboot, all i got was security warning and bootloop. The only way you can fix hardbrick is through JTag, but i don't know if you can fix it without paying someone money, because you need special hardware to do it. You can find people on ebay that can fix it but it will cost you 30-50$.
I sent mine to warranty...they didn't know what was wrong with it and couldn't fix it...and so they just replaced the motherboard. If you have a warranty then send it and do NOT!! tell them you flashed it or rooted it. Tell them you don't know what happened...The chances of them finding out is very small.
If ebay and/or warranty not work, then there was an article on the Internet to fix a hard brick but for some reason it is now password protected...i do not know why....You can send the owner an email so he can give you the password.

...There is another article but it is in Portuguese

But then again you cant be certain this will work either.
Conclusion: Fk LG...They don't want people upgrading their slow buggy software.

i cant enter download mode, always turn black after LG logo
Disconnect cable from pc and phone
Press power + vol -
You will get first black screen, keep pressing until lg logo appears and it shuts off completely.
Then press just vol + and reconnect cable to computer.
That should leave you in download mode or fastboot.

Tried to enter to download mode, but it's going back to this screen from attachment. Tried LG Up but it's not recognizing device. Can somebody help me? I don't want to give it back on warranty or to support.
hello, the same thing happened to me, I wanted to flash the 9.0 with lgup and when I reached 98 I launched error, my lg g7 now only enters fastboot mode and with the cmd I can execute commands like fastboot boot and fastboot devices, but lg up not recognize. Someone to help please ??
Here is picture
You can try with usb connected, press and hold volume up before restart to download mode to LGUP flash again (try with 8.0 or fresh download fw).

Same with me when cross-flash from HK region to EU region, always to flashboot or recovery mode.
With usb cable connected with PC (your G7 always in fastboot mode) force restart by press and hold volume down + power until screen turn off, release two button and fast press and hold volume up before LG 7 logo. My G7 boot into download mode.

hi
- While holding Volume Up key connect your phone to PC using USB Cable (Don’t leave volume key while connecting)
- Release the Volume UP key as soon as the phone goes into Download Mode.

Guys, I called you in one message as it seems we all had experienced the same drastic issue with the phone got bricked on the update process. We all probably used LGUP and on the update somewhere on the %'age progress (in mine it was 91%) the process stopped so we needed to force reboot and after that we got only fastboot menu.
Once trying to enter download mode, upon connecting to USB, the download mode title frame blinks for a split/second and it goes all way into fastboot only, correct?
Having said that - I believe it is vital not only to update how you resolved (or still resolving) the issue but how it happened we stepped in that deep sh!t overall...
On my particular case - I had bought the phone with branded oreo software, what I wanted was to (a) force-upgrade to Pie (as the brand operator is still very late with the Pie update) and (b) unbrand to open or brand Orange as I wanted the VoLTE and VoWiFi working. I used the LGUP 1.14 and tried uppercut but it did not work in my case (probably because of antivirus software something was permanently blocking) so I found the common_dll file which resolved the issue and the progress started. However, as mentioned - at 91% it stopped and phone died. I moved it to LGE service, they replaced the mainboard as it is under warranty. I suspect I used some sort of invalid DLL file, probably that caused the process crashed.
As a postmortem - I regret that in panic I force-rebooted the phone, it was certain the system won't start and now I realize it was also a high risk it will be bricked but you know... just tried to resolve instantly. I wonder what would happen if I would not reboot but leave the phone in download mode (still hold on 91% but still alive) and in that state would connect the phone back into LG Bridge software or LGEtool - possibly it would be recognized by the firmware auto-flasher inspected or fixed and it would reboot itself properly into download to resurrect...who knows.
I am looking forward your status guys - where are you with the fix and actually how did you go into that trouble - so what flash method you used ? You know, to avoid that scenario in future...

I investigated the problem of why it stopped at 98% and it is because of the issue of the ddl file, before any flash by lg up it is better to prevent and replace the common ddl file, which I did not do. just in case, I still have the phone in fastboot mode, I have not been able to find a solution yet.
So.. Ive actually managed to get outta fastboot and into quallcom9008 mode.. (Deliberately..) But.. Cant do **** ib that mode just yet.. Software not available.
Now i read about resetting while in thar mode via test points. Will let ya know if there comes anything from that..
(Btw... To get into 9008 mode.. Hold power and vol down while in that gawd aweful fastboot tutorial menu.. And tap the vol up button fast and repeatedly.. If it resets and you have a blank screen.. Ya there..!! If it just resets to.. Well. Fastboot.. Ya didnt rap fast enough.. Do it again.
To exit 9008 mode.. Just hold power and vol down till bootlogo comes up..
It aint much. But maybe some1 more clever can use that info and get us outta that gawd damn menu.. plz..
If you are stuck in fastboot loop see this post:

I hope you fixed your issue but if anyone needs it here: go into edl mode and flash laf_a and laf_b. these are download mode files. I will attach these files later today

Cannot boot into download mode

Hi everybody, yesterday I was playing with my old Galaxy A50 trying to install a custom rom unsuccessfully.
I repeated the procedure three times installing TWRP and then Havoc OS but every time I tried to reboot from TWRP to OS I was stuck at the warning screen saying that the phone bootloader was unlocked and booting into download mode to reflash TWRP was blocked as it showed "only official binaries can be installed" (yes I installed Samsung disabler but still).
Still I was able to get the phone into download mode and reinstall the stock firmware as it seemed to be the only way to install and boot TWRP.
But at 4th time repeating the process I got frustrated, shut down the computer and left the phone on the warning screen still connected to computer usb cable.
Then I got back and noticed the phone was off as the battery died.
Indeed the battery died, so I put the phone in charging and after it reached 100% I tried to boot into download mode again to reflash stock firmware.
But here's the strange thing, I cannot boot into download mode anymore as pressing vol up+vol down while connecting usb cable, shows the lightning charge logo for 5 secs and then reboots infinitely with the same pattern.
If I force reboot by pressing vol down+power it shows the Samsung logo with the warning below it, then skips to another screen with another warning suggesting to press power button to continue (which does nothing) and after a while reboots to samsung logo.
So it doesn't seem it is bricked, it looks more like a battery controller fault, so I tried to detach the battery flex from the board, hoping it would reset the controller but it's still the same.
Also I tried with the flex detached and still no download mode is possible.
Was the download mode somehow erased? (if it's even possible considering it's the motherboard firmware)
If you need photos, videos or even a call on zoom, Skype, webex I would be glad to show you
same i got the same problem i can't find nothing for this when i press volume up and down and put the otg cable its simply charges but it gets stuck on the logo image there's no way to fix this but the only way is to open the phone, change the emmc and put one from samsung, close the phone flash a custom rom and you are done.
If you can enter recovery, do it. As soon as your phone gets into it, select the power off variant and then try to enter the download mode.
It seems like you did not unlock the bootloader, did you?
The bootloader Is unlocked i can't enter in the recovery because the phone locks on charging logo and its fully charged but when i try without charger It doesn't start.

Question S21 FE - endless bootloop and download mode/recovery not working (properly)

Hello,
my wife got a S21 FE (SM-G990B/DS VD2). Yesterday it started to reboot over and over out of a sudden, showing the samsung logo first, followed by the knox logo, then shutting off and on again. Tried several guides to enter Recovery or Download Mode. The only thing that worked was entering download mode by pressing Vol up, down and power while a USB-Cable is plugged in, but as soon as i press the vol up button to pass the "warning screen", it shows some phone specs for a couple of seconds, shuts off and starts bootlooping again. After some hours, the phone once entered recovery mode when it lied next to me for about an hour. Tried to wipe cache, but just got an error I can't remember right now. Hoped it fixed itself when it made it to recovery and just rebooted to see if it works again, but then it just keept bootlooping again.
Since then I couldn't figure out why it once booted to recovery on it's own nor why I can't force it to enter recovery by pressing vol up + on.
Still hope it's just a faulty update or bug, but feels very much like it's a hardware related issue. Replacing the phone won't be an issue, but I'd really want to save data on the phone as my wife didn't make any backups and really wants to keep the photos.
As I just found guides that included recovery or DL-Mode, which are both no valid options for my case, I'd be thankful for any ideas to fix the phone or at least gain access to files before replacing it.
So.. did anyone come across similar issues and found a solution to revive the phone or are there any "unpopular" ways to recover samsung phones out of this state?
Edit:
Turned off completely overnight, booted once to system, looped again and now it's working like nothing ever happened. Got no clue what caused it or why it is working again. Saved everything for the case it happens again.
Wouldn't trust that device anymore, but my wife wants to keep it.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I would just like to reply here and add my own potential fix and also would like confirmation that it would work.
So I have a SM-G996B in a boot loop which returns a 'fs_mgr_mount_all' error. Possible to reboot into recovery mode, cleared cache and restarted bootloader etc with the same boot loop. Powered off and connected to PC for Download mode for ODIN recovery but upon pressing volume up, it then restarts again so Download mode recovery is impossible.
I know however that Developer options and USB debugging was enabled on the device as well as unlocked boot loader. I was able to download the correct original stock OS based on the PDA , CSC and Android version.
I have then installed the latest ADB software on my PC and Samsung USB drivers.
By then rebooting into recovery mode, I have the option of 'Apply update from ADB'. I have then confirmed the device connects using the ADB devices command.
I would like to clarify one thing however. I want to keep the user data at all costs. By using the stock firmware and renaming as update.zip, will it use the HOME_CSC and not the CSC file? If not would it work if I open the zip and remove the CSC before re-zipping to make sure?
Thanks

Similar issue with same phone. In a bootloop after trying to root. None of the button combinations have worked for me, for the past several days.
Tried powering the phone off for the whole night.
When connected to the PC shows phone is in recovery mode via adb (blank screen though).
Want to know how to get into DL-mode, guaranteed.
Got to DL mode by pressing vol up + down + power + usb cable connected in PC and phone. However, couldn't do anything there, but maybe you can
Also, phone is still working and I still have no clue what was the problem and what fixed it.
