Yeah it works. But it's actually for seed devices (Android One). Check my thread in general

[Q] Does anyone knows if that backdoor exists for the Cappy?

I struggled over this here:
http://www.fsf.org/blogs/community/replicant-developers-find-and-close-samsung-galaxy-backdoor
and some more details in their wiki:
http://redmine.replicant.us/projects/replicant/wiki/SamsungGalaxyBackdoor
And as far as I understood that could also affect other devices from Samsung or am I wrong? Is the i927 as a variant of those mentioned devices maybe affected by that too?

how? what do I would need to do that: "using opensource ril". Is it "just" the fact that you compile everything from source including the ril?
Do you think that this could be done for ICS/sediROM , too? :fingers-crossed:
If so: It would be great if you can send me a PM on how to doing that for sediROM... :fingers-crossed:

Tested and no file was created in cm11 or sedirom.
You can found open source ril here: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_hardware_samsung
rild,libril*
And yes, it compiles

Has anyone already tried NX Camera 5.5?

I'm just wondering if this version of camera works with our device. It requires Android 7.1.1, and I'm currently using Viper, so I can't test it myself.
Can anybody confirm if it works or not? Thank you in advance.
Here is the link.

You can't test yourself? Why not? Flash the app and test it. It's that simple.
No HTC 10 ROMs are on 7.1.1, just so you know.
has anyone tested if it works? I'm planning to buy htc 10 soon and would like to use aosp with some decent alternative to snap cam.
thx in advance

Lmao, my bad. I'm such an idiot today, I didn't even look at the dates.
tried. camera itself works fine, but there is no HDR button. I think the rom is missing some libs (which should be proprietary I think, that's why HDR+ can't be ported)
so. this is a no go

Oxygen OS?

Will it be possible for devs to port oxygenOS for whyred?
Im asking because I've noticed how much rom files have changed over the years and it must be much harder than before.

Do you know that a device specific ROM is more stable and have less bugs compared to GSI because it's optimized for that specific device.
Do you know that a GSI rom have xy bugs on xy devices.

Kernel 4.14 is stable and the camera is better than on kernel 4.9
It needs more battery at the moment, but depends on the usecase

9.0 uses 4.9
10.0 uses 4.14
I requested a XDA thread but sadly the maintainer is a bit slow

Extract the payload file and flash it in fastboot
Then any further OTA will work with the delivered recovery

What exactly are you asking?
I'm running an Android 13 GSI on my Samsung tablet with an Android 9 bootloader and an Android 11 kernel, if that's what you mean.
