How to fix invalid/null IMEI (help) - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

I have fixed in other phones the invalid/null IMEI with the method of Engineer Mode MTK
But I have a specific problem with my lenovo A806.
After I installed a new rom I can't fix the invalid IMEI.
I tried to fix it with the Engineer Mode MTK, I tried with MTK DROID TOOLS, I created the file with the IMEI with the IMEI.EXE tool and paste it to the specific folder, but nothing worked. When i reboot the phone everytime the IMEI is not fixed.
Any help please?

Repair SN:
1. I take mmcblk0p12(this is factory partition) from other Zenfone 2, repack it via ImgExtractor.exe,
2. in mmcblk0p12/PhoneInfoDisk folder i wroted via HEX Editor my SN, mac adress, bt adress, color of device(5J)
3. Pack back via make_ext4fs.exe tooll to mmcblk0p12
4. Then I flashed this mmcblk0p12 via fastboot flash /dev/block/mmcblk0p12 mmcblk0p12
SN, mac,bluetooth adress return back
But I can't repair IMEI. i suppose it lay in config partition(mmcblk0p14), but i can't to find where..... Somebody help?
I was able to get it working with a workaround , I hope it helps u.
Go to /config/telephony/1 directory. Take backup of all files. Delete all files. Reboot phone. Check your imei.

Do you have factory/PhoneInfodisk/PhoneInfo_inf file? If yes, you can recovery Serial number, wi-fi mac,bt mac by editing it with HEX editor, I not sure, you may use even text editor. If no, you should to get this file from other device. Also you should to write your Serial number to factory/PhoneInfodisk/ssn. I suppose you can try to flash this service firmware, this firmware add Virtual Serial COM Port for working Digma sofia recovery tool- thats all.

Firstly thank you,
In short I say,
Mistakenly I erased all the partitions that includes
System,Factory,Config,ADF,ADP using CWM Recovery advance mode .
After that I flashed a stock rom to unbrick the phone from previous bootloops caused by FOTA update on the rooted device. After that my phone booted but no imei and info.
So I think my factory partition is empty as I formated it
And the firmware you provided is for ZE551ML 4Gb Ram variant while mine is ZE550ML 2Gb Ram.
Will flashing this work for my phone or if you can kindly provide me the Digma servicing firmware for my device!
Again thank you
Protik
There's no factory/PhoneInfodisk directory showing in root explorar

Don't be afraid, you may flash service firmware from my post via asus flash tool from fastboot mode! This firmware need ONLY for activate Intel virtual COM PORT in device manager on PC, for using Phone Tool 191, no need use phone on this firmware . after repair of your imei1 you should to flash user RAW firmware for ZE550ML -that's all. For repair imei1 no need factory partition, both sim card will be become work, simple you will not have your serial number (it will be 111111) and mac addresses will be not sibling from box of phone, they will be random generated. WI-FI and BT will be work on it too

Perfect this ended up working on my phone (ZE550ML), flash the service file in the link using Asus Flash Tool, connect to Digma, you dont need to intall the drivers. Follow the pdf to change IMEI, use google translate it works good, remember to omit the last number in your IMEI.

Redmi 6A big problem(please read carefully)

Hello everyone,
I have problem with this redmi 6a mtk phone.I need to say that bootloader is locked.
Every time when is booted up it says "this device is locked" with stock roms(not modified).
It is working well but when I connect to wifi or when insert sim card in few second I get that message and I cannot
do anything with phone.
So what I did because I have Mi authorization account for EVERY Xiaomi phones(thanks from an service),I downloaded
modified redmi 6a firmware from:
http://forum.gsmdevelopers.com/xiao.../68692-redmi-6a-cactus-modified-firmware.html
and I flashed it with sp flash tool successfully.
I booted up,but now I have another big problem,I lost imei and device ID,I can connect with wifi and everything but no imei so the device ID but at least thanks from Mod. firmware there is no pop up "this device is locked"anymore .I think that this phone does not have Meta mode because I tried that with Maui Meta to recover imei but without luck.
So I have question is there anything that I can do more with it to recover imei and device ID or is there any other solution to bypass that message "this device is locked".

Repair IMEI - Diag mode

While trying to install a Custom ROM, all went wrong with a hard bricked Redmi Note 8T as result.
Have been able to revive the phone in EDL mode (Test Points method). Now running again on MIUI Global 12.5.5 (RCXEUXM).
However, the IMEI's are nulled, can't activate a SIM card. Only WiFi works.
A first, essential step in the process to repair the IMEI's, is to open the diag mode. Found a few methods, but none of these methods work.
Not via *#*#717717#*#* (Open diag failed), not via adb devices // adb shell // su // setprop sys.usb.config diag, adb (Permission denied).
The phone is rooted with Magisk; recovery OrangeFox.
Does anyone have a helpful suggestion how to proceed?
Follow-on: Meanwhile, I've been able to open the Diag-mode. Apparently, one or two switches in Magisk had masked the rooting of the phone.
Now on to editing the qcn-file with the correct IMEI's. First,I have to figure out the location of the two IMEI's, and then to correct these into the correct values.

I have had the same problem with my previous Redmi Note 3. And I tried so may ways to re-write the IMEI number. Finally I found a little software on the net and using my computer I was able to re-write the IMEI number to the phone. I was a long time back, so I dont remember the exact name of the software. It was something like IMEI writer (root). Connected the phone which was also rooted. Then opened the software on my PC and the software asked for superuser access, which I granted on the phone. Then there from the pc using the software I entered the IMEI numbers for both sim1 & 2, and applied then reboot phone. After reboot, the phone then detected the simcards and the imei were back.

My current problem: I can find a .qcn file and have to edit it with the proper IMEI's. Found a Qualcomm IMEI Rebuilder tool, but that tool doesn't work. With a Hex-editor it is difficult to find the proper location. Found the location of one IMEI and then saved the file with a different name. Loading that file into the Rebuilder tool indeed shows (one) correct IMEI. Have installed that file with QFIL, but when I check with *#06#, it shows a completely different IMEI...
Meanwhile, I've searched for IMEI write (root). Found IMEI Tools (ROOT)_1.4_apkcombo.com.apk.
Prooved incompatible for my phone.
Then found qualcomm-smartphone-write-imei-tool-v1.01.apk
Tried that out, but couldn't establish communication with the diag-COMport.
In fact, I can't activate the diag mode any longer... Tried and re-tried, but all in vain.
When I enter the last command ('setprop .... etc.), communication via the USB port is also stopped. Re-establishing that doesn't make a difference. No COMport appearing in device manager or in QFIL...

UMT works with dongle? Price?
I tried Hydra, but got a Trojan Horse warning, and therefore broke off installation.
Umt needs dongle.
First restore original qcn(unedited) then try flashing ENG firmware.
!! Iam not responisble if anything wrong happens with your phone.
