Clear Frequently called list - Verizon Note 7 Questions & Answers

Is there an option I'm not seeing? I tried to remove a number but I just deleted the contact and put it back. Anyone know how ?

If your not talking about a lot of numbers in recent list. Too right menu. Click delete there and click on the ones you want to delete
Sent from my SM-N930V using Tapatalk

go into the Phone option and on top right by "Create" there is the 3 dots and I had it under there one time... now I'm trying to do it and its not there so maybe check in that area. I have done it though and thats the area I've went to.

long press the record you want to delete. A check box will appear. Then top left press delete

I am pretty sure the method above deletes the contact altogether. I am having the same problem as op.

If your on recent tab it says "Filter By" not "Create".

Press the menu button and then clear call log.
Not the call log. The frequently contacted. Its the last column in each app, phone app and people app. designated with a star icon at the top of the people app

Oh sorry. I misunderstood you. You could try clearing data in the contacts app. Not contact storage.
I haven't tried it so I can't confirm. That's my only educated guess.

Hold down on contacted and then hit the 3 dot thing and tap remove from log. To remove favorites you gotta log in and click on contact and then find the find the setting to remove starred contacts but it didnt update on phone. I dont know how to proceed with that part.

Clearing data in contacts storage works on mine, and it must on yours as well.
Only thing I can think of if that doesn't work, is if you store your contacts on phone or sim. But can't understand why you would do that.

How can this data be cleared? I have been trying to find a way to clear the frequently called list for weeks since ICS came out!!
Anyone thought about checking in their Gmail account online to see if Google has said contact(s) flagged as frequently contacted?

Sadly that clears even the call log. I want to clear the frequently called list or some specific numbers from that list but maintain my history.
I don't mind the frequently called list to be hidden since I can manually clear the history. Frequently called list however does not allow deleting some numbers.

This really is annoying.
you could just install exdialer from the market. you can delete individually calls from call history (incoming/outgoing/missed). and you get T9 dialing with it as well as a bunch of other useful stuff missing from the stock dialer.
doesn't consume much resources, very fast, and you can have it look almost exactly like stock dialer with its ICS theme.
If you want to have the same stock dialer icon you can use desktop visualizer (free) and link it to the stock dialer icon.

Technically merges duplicates and finds them based on same number, name and account.
Ie after flashing a new rom, you may have 2 entries for 1 person. With this app it will merge them so the 1 person will have multiple fields (name, address, email, FB etc)

New gmail layout..any way to multi select/delete inbox

I know this is a general question but it applies to any Android device but since im on a s4 ill ask here.
Since the new Gmail update with the new Colorful interface look, which I find useless.... is there a way to multi select all emails in the in box ,to delete instead of long pressing one by one?

Clicking on the colored letter / picture will select the email (as if it were a checkbox).
You can also disable the new look by unchecking 'Sender image' in settings.

:thumbup:Nice, that partly resolves the lengthy one by one delete process, but I sorta meant like a multi select/select all at once, then after just uncheck each one you want to keep.
But I guess only way is to check each email one by one .
Thanks though

Ah, yeah the app doesn't have a 'select all' feature. I suppose the app is designed to cater to users who keep more e-mail than delete.
You can long press on one email then select many.... It will highlight all and you can then delete several at a time.

Contact to voicemail

In my contacts I have a contact called spammers for any computer generated phone calls that I received. I usually have that contact go directly to voicemail so it doesn't ring on my phone. Does the LG g3 have that option? I can't find any option to send to voicemail.
Thanks for any help.

Only way I've found to do it on the Verizon LG G3 is to add the number as a contact, then with that contact open open settings and there is a "All calls to voice mail" check box.

Forcing bubble notifications

According to this article you can turn on bubble notifcations (and force black [emoji16]) in Dev options.
Anyone get this to work running the latest Google messaging beta?

I am not sure what this does. I am using the below and it definitely is working... For popups with ALL apps... In the photo you can see I have a pop-up at the same time from POTUS on Twitter...View attachment 4912275

Interesting. Not working for me but based on your screenshot I am testing the smart pop up view settings. Odd that you would have to switch both the dev option and the smart view. I am guessing one is Google and one is Samsung.

Not sure, but your thought makes sense. I'd never seen the one in the Dev settings until you mentioned it. In any event, to enable the pop-up to be used for Google Messages, you have to scroll way down into the app list to find Messages to enable it. You'd think it would be in the smaller first group of "suggested" apps all of which seem to be for messaging, but that is not the case.

Pop up view seems to work with Google messages. Would be nice if bubbles had sender image rather than default app icon.

I'll disable Messages from the pop-up view setting (as that may override) and compare to see how well 'bubbles' works...

You don't have to switch both (and messages is way down in the second list, it should work for you, maybe you enabled the wrong one.)
