OTG - Verizon Note 7 Questions & Answers

Anyone know how to get OTG to work on non rooted phone?

Use the USB adapter that's in the box or purchase a third party option. I use the adapter that came with the phone, but I also have this one and it works great. No root is required for either.

Thanks

Yes, it support it via software.
But you need a female-USB to male-microUSB adapter.
I am very interested in this. Have you read somewhere where this is confirmed?

There's a samsung product called "USB Connector", model: ET-R205UBEGSTD and install an app called Stickmount (now only for USB with FAT partition) for automount.

[Q] usb otg audio out

I have a Logitech g35 headset that I love to use on my computer, I just got an otg cable and would like to use it for my phone, I have attempted it but wanted to know if I had to do anything special to get it working or if I have no chances of getting it to work

Tethering

I'm considering switching to ATT. I realize there is no root yet. Are there any tethering apps that work?

I've always used EasyTether Pro ($9.99, but worth it IMHO) - it has worked for both Mac and Windows for me - been using it for a few years. I've had a couple hiccups with the Bluetooth side, but direct cable connect via USB works flawlessly for me.
Mobile Hotspot is actually built into the phone.

A program to do what? If your on a Mac use android file transfer. Pc don't require no special program. Just make sure you hit mtp after you attach the usb cord to the phone and computer
OK thank you

AirDroid might be worth a look as a companion for PC and phone but I prefer Solid Explorer to access my network shares from my phone.
Thanks again!

What are you trying to do that you need a computer?

I am using a Dell XPS 15 9550, it has a USB-C port on it already so I can just plug my phone in with a USB-C to USB-C cable
