Fulmics 6.1 missing notifications sound from NEXT SMS - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just installed Fulmics 6.1 onto Lg G3 D855/16GB.
All working nice except I lost notification sounds in Next SMS.
I don't get any sound when new ones arrives, if don't catch the screen that lights up for the sneak preview of SMS I miss the new SMS.
I tried to set the sound in both handcent > settings > notification as well as in Android settings > sound and notifications.
I am not in silent mode, yet notifications are still not playing sounds.
Any ideas?

To clarify things, I am not expecting this to be Fulmics causing this. More that now that I got both android 6 and fulmics 6.1 at the same time the GUI changed a lot and there might be other ways to adjust notification sound then what I have found.

I've tried all the settings I can think of.
I started out with Android settings, making sure notification sound was enabled.
Then I chose to set special sound for apps, and chose next sms.
To be certain I changed to the sound to a mp3 file in my download folder.
Still no sound.
Went into next sms > settings > All > Notification & Reminder > Notification settings > Notification Sound
Here I can see the sound has changed to myfile.mp3
Still no notification sounds.
Browse and google for answers and find a page telling me to reverse all things in sounds and notifications to NO SOUNDS. Well I tried, I even tried to follow the program and reboot for each change I made. After several reboots I eventually got to the part where I again chose to turn on notification sounds, and did the final reboot. Puh. STILL NO SOUND when I receive sms/txt.
I've almost pulled all my hair from my head in pure frustration, I can't walk around missing txt's because my stupid phone suddenly don't give me notifications. Try to tell that to your boss, no you see my phone don't give me audio notifications when you text me. Sure my boss wont buy into that.
Pls help.

Cant change default Notification sound??

I cant get my default notification sound to change - I can change the gmail new email sound to change from within the gmail settings but for pop email, sms etc the sound doesn't change no matter which sound I pick?
Am I doing something wrong?
Tks
Have a look at the guide below.

Personalizing with sound sets
Each sound set gives you a different combination of sounds for your ringtone and notifications such as incoming messages, email, calendar event reminders, and more. By switching between sound sets, you can instantly make HTC One X ring or alert you with fun sounds when you're out with friends or change to subtle sounds while you're at work.
Creating a sound set
Slide the Notifications panel open, and then tap > Personalize.
On the Sound tab, tap Sound set.
On the Sound sets screen, tap .
Enter a new sound set name, and then tap Done.
The newly created sound set is then added to the list of sound sets. You can assign different tones to the sound set to your preference.
Changing your ringtone, notifications, and sounds
Slide the Notifications panel open, and then tap > Personalize.
On the Sound tab, tap Sound set.
Choose a sound set you want to customize, or create a new one, and then tap Apply.
Change the ringtone, notification sound, and alarm from the Personalize screen.
HTC One X automatically saves your choices to the current sound set.
Deleting sound sets
Slide the Notifications panel open, and then tap > Personalize.
On the Sound tab, tap Sound set.
Tap .
Select one or more sound sets you want to delete.
Tap Delete.

I think the poster meant that regardless of which sound you set as notification sound, it will still use the default notification sound. Just to clarify, even though it wasn't necessary as I've owned an htc android phone before, I did read the guide as i was stumped too. I can select any custom sound for notifications, it just doesn't use it. It's different for email notifications though, that will use the sound I set without problems... Anyone have a fix? It was like this since it first came out of the box.

Vibration on Notification Bug

I just installed CM 10.1, have been on 4.1.2 before this.
I can't find the right settings for a sound mode where gmail notificiations will only play a sound and not vibrate.
I have disabled vibration in the options in Gmail, but the Gmail notifications are still vibrating. I have also tried the various sound modes available in CM. This is a deal killer for me because my phone will be vibrating all day long annoying the hell out of me. Putting it in silent and also losing the sound notification is not an option.
This seems to be an issue others have pointed out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1785800&page=3
Is there a fix/workaround?
Found the issue...it was profiles. I have to go into the Application Groups in the Profiles menu and change all the application options to not override for ring, vibrate, and light.
Awesome post!! Thanks so much for bringing this up....
as a new user I did not know how profiles override system settings in the setting menu. ESPECIALLY vibrate and notifications!!!
Thanks

Sounds gone missing

Changed my default notification and ringtone sound to one that I downloaded. It plays fine when I select it in the Settings --> Sound --> Ringtone/Notification. However it does not play when I get a call or a TXT. And yes, my volume is up.
On a side note, I am so ticked that I cannot set the ringtone and notification volume levels independently!! I cant stand the wait for ROOT so we get some good ROMS

Maybe a dumb question, but have not installed any type of profile app right? I use profile apps so I can quickly change to different setups for night, meetings etc.
Well I do have Sound Manager installed. Since the ringtone and notifications is tied together right now, this app is mostly useless.
I did verify that sounds were turned up. Once I selected a sound that is included with the phone everything is fine. really a pain.

Constant sound and vibration when new notification is received

Hello,
recently i've bought HTC One m8. And yesterday it started fooling around. When I receive a message from Facebook messanger or any other app, I get normal notification sound and vibration. But, if I do not read it, other sound and vibration goes on every 15second precisely. If I turn off all the sounds and vibrations, vibration still goes on! I found out, if I enable Do Not Disturb mode then there is no sound and vibration anymore.
Any thoughts?
Fixed!
Apparently, I cannot post any links since I am new user. Solution should be Settings > Accessibility > Notification reminder. Choose interval or just disable function.

Notification Sounds Missing?

Has anyone had notification sounds go missing from the menu? My emails stopped making a sound this morning and when I checked the sound it was set to is no longer in the options. It just had a number set rather than whatever the sound was.
