Predator 6 - Predator 8?? - Acer Predator 6

So I'm not finding any further information about the Predator 6 BUT I have purchased a Predator 8 Tablet. I'm guessing they scrapped the phone in lieu of a tablet instead and because of how underperforming this device is, it's been seriously dropped for support. I was hoping to find a way to compile TWRP for the device to at least grant those sorry people who bought this some root access. Anyone able to assist me with compiling TWRP? I have unlocked the Bootloader (that was easy) but I'm needing to flash a new recovery and I don't want to until I know I have the knowledge to fix what I might break.

i already built recovery 3.0.2 but when i swipe allow system modifications and then reboot it gets stuck in boot logo, edit: Check my posts, theres TWRP 3.0.2 and root methods..

Kindle Fire 2 problem that I made worse

Hey guys, let's start with the basics.
1st . I am an idiot who managed to brick his kindle and then made the things even worse by trying to fix it
2nd. I am a noob so you most probably will get frustrated by my idiotic questions-please don't be mad at me I'm really trying to calm myself and fix it
so here is what happened:
1. I rooted my kindle fire 2 and installed android 4.2.2 with few apps
2. I tried installing Chainfire3D pro 3.30 and this prevented me from booting in Android but I still had recovery
3. I ran the recovery and enabled fast boot
4. I used this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2035047 and clicked option 2
5. I disabled the fastboot and rebooted
6. Instead of booting into newly installed Amazon os it keeps trying to boot, displays the boot logo for few secs and then the screen goes black and starts all over again
So 2 simple questions: can it be fixed?do I need some special cable in order to fix it-I read this somewhere
Edit : I'm still reading any possible source I could grasp my hands on,so now almost 100% sure that it I need fastboot cable and that it will fix my problem. Am I right? If so where is the best place to order one- I'm currently living n UK if this helps you to guide me to someone/somewhere I'll get it faster. Also is there a way to create one myself?(I guess no but have to ask)
I got my fastboot cable from Honk Kong - It was like 6 $, I got it in 10 days and was able to fix all the mess.

Depends on the definition of "brick".
As explained in this thread, I had a situation where the main ROM would not boot; it would just be stuck at the Mediapad M2 boot logo. However, I was still able to access recovery and fastboot modes. So I was able to recover from the brick situation by flashing the BOOT.img, DATA.img and SYSTEM.img from an 801L on my 802L ( I had not yet found an official 802L ROM). Even though my phone model became "801L", it still worked for me. Later, after much hunting around I found an official 802L ROM (B003), flashed it on my phone and got back to a standard stock phone configuration.
In another situation, I had a constant boot-loop problem after installing SuperSU 2.79 as the root app on Marshmallow ROM build B207. The phone would boot up, show the "Mediapad M2" boot logo, then reboot immediately. This kept on happening. However, like before I was still able to access recovery and fastboot modes so I was able to repair the situation in the same manner as described above. That is why I finally wrote this guide - to help other people who may be in the same situation.

[Help Request] I have a recovery mission from Contacts2.db file

Hi Everyone,
First of alI, I will try to give a brief anamnesis of my situation. I flashed my W 3 months ago with arcco68's [ROM][ICS][4.0.4][IMM76L] CyanogenMod 9 Final Release that is founded here. Everything is going "ok" within in this time. But two weeks ago, My W is decided to go into boot loop without any reason (May be it has, but I did nothing for this). It always stucks at the boot animation logo. Since my home button was broken, I could not switch back to recovery mode, with conventional way. So, I went to recovery mode by using ADB tools, and made a full backup of the W with my TWRP recovery that is version 2.8.3.
The big problem is that it starts from now on. I gathered my Contacts2.db file from the backup, but I could not convert it to vcf file format with any ways that I have found on the internet.
1. https://askubuntu.com/questions/445997/how-to-convert-androids-contacts2-db-to-vcf
2. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/18955512/converting-db-to-vcf
These two scripts also fail at some point in the process. And I do not have code knowledge to solve the issue. And I also know, some site like this is giving free conversation service for this. But I do not want to share my contacts with them and I want to learn fishing, not eating fish. I would be very grateful to anyone who could contribute to solving my problem.

Rooting help: bootloop, possible soft-brick

Hey all; first post and 100% green with rooting. This is my first attempt and i'm hitting a stumbling block.
First off, I've been using the guide on "theandroidsoul"(can't post a link due to post count, but a quick google search should bring you to the exact one)
I have successfully setup ADB, unlocked the bootloader, flashed TWRP 3.2.3-1 and have been able to boot into it using ADB.
However on step 10 of the guide i'm using, it's not too clear if i should skip formatting the device memory or go ahead and do it. I did it. I suspect this might be where i went wrong.
Regardless, i'm able to move Magisk onto the internal storage and TWRP is able to install it successfully.
Once i try to reboot, the "bootloader unlocked" warning screen shows, then the oneplus boot screen appears. It shuts down and reboots like this a second time, then the screen goes black and the front LED illuminates white and nothing happens. I can shut down the phone by holding the power button, then boot into fastboot manual using power + volume up. However if i try to boot the phone normally or boot into recovery mode, it repeats the same symptoms.
I'm unaware if I've soft or hard bricked the device. Like i mentioned i'm able to boot it into fastboot just fine and can get TWRP to come up with a boot command via ADB. But no matter how many times i try to install Magisk(I tried both v18 the guide mentions and the latest v19 from their site) i can't get it to boot.
I'm aware i also used an outdated version of TWRP(the one the guide mentions). i tried to flash twrp-3.3.0-1(latest version for dumpling) but cannot. I believe because a version of TWRP is already flashed on the device?
Can anyone help me out?
Hi all,
I'm facing the same issues as Josh and came seeking help, as well, so any help would be greatly appreciated! This is my first foray into Android coming from Windows 10 Mobile, which I'm still using two weeks after purchasing the 5T because of these issues. No matter what I do, I cannot get it to work and am now stuck in the same loop as mentioned above.
I'm attempting to install LineageOS and followed the instructions on its official site to a T, but have never been able to get it to boot into the OS. The only difference from the original poster's issue is that I'm not trying to root the device.
Thanks again for any help!

Hi, on my search how to flash TWRP revovery ROM I stumbled upon your post. With my first attempts, I did not even manage to get the official TWRP to run on my op5T - got always blue led - basically the same symptoms without trying to root. Meanwhile LOS works fine on my OP5T (I updated to the latest OOS then flashed and booted twrp-3.3.0-0-20190427-codeworkx-dumpling.img.).
ANYWAY my solution to unbrick and reinstall OxygenOS again was the...
... official unbrick tool - can be found in this forum when searching after (still cannot post links): OnePlus 5T Unbricking Tool
There is also another page here on the forum collecting different unbricking tools - although I am not aware how they are - since I used another source by googling for "How to Unbrick OnePlus 5T with OnePlus 5T Unbrick Tool (Unroot/Fix bootloop)".
Hope you get it running again, like I did.

How to flash TWRP on BlackView P10000 Pro?

Hello good people.
I know it is possible, because I did it somehow few days ago. But at the cost of broken ROM. After restoring the 8.1 working software, TWRP is gone. And I cant install it once more...
Is there anyone who managed to install TWRP on BV P10000 Pro, and can tell me how to do it?
I can't even boot to TWRP one time now...
All I can accomplish, is:
-Standard recovery (blue font)
-Standard recovery 2 (yellow and blue font) [reboot system now, reboot to bootloader, apply update from SD card, wipe data / factory reset etc...]
-Select Boot Mode: recovery / fastboot / normal
Since 2 days, I am not able to enter TWRP at all... Even if flashing by SP Flash Tool or ADB command are successful
Please, there are 2-3 threads about flashing it on this device, and none of them is working. But I know wI have managed to do it somehow 2 days ago... Any hints, how?
To make it easier - I have managed to install magisk and root my phone now. But still - TWRP wont show to me... Just no way to boot into TWRP. Please, any suggestions what I could do, to activate TWRP?... Please.... It is thrid day in a row when I am sitting by my PC, doing just that...
I am still lost... Please, can you provide working TWRP for BlackView P10000 Pro?... I know it is out somewhere, russian is default language.
Or is there any other way I can backup all my android as a image? Like in TWRP? I cant find any app for that... Thanks to a good-hearted person which can help me
So, there is no TWRP for this phone, and there is no way to backup / restore the system?... This brand is useless. Why no one is warning against BlackView phones? Great, I have just wasted my few months savings...
Yes I am also facing this issue I just wanna connect it with the blackview pleasehelp me to solve this issue any recommendation will be appreciated.
