[Help] Upgrade firmware of CN to WW version - ZenFone 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Well i wanted to ask and request the help of you guys if anyone with a CN version that has sw to WW has any firmware version that is nice to upgrade to.
When i changed to WW the latest firmware version was the 2.20.40.164 (released on 2015/09/02)
I wanted to ask which version should i upgrade now, anyone knows a nice stable version to choose and install?
And another question.
Do I still need to go and downlad from HERE the corresponding boot.img | droidboot.img | recovery.img and after download the WW version from HERE to adb sideload it or how should i do it?
Thanks in advance

[Q] Change FIrmware???

I keep reading different people saying: "I had CN firmware so I flashed WW firmware ...." while on the Asus site, from where I got the firmwares, says "DO NOT FLASH FIRMWARE OF DIFFERENT SKU VERSIONS" ... it explains further "CN SKU should flash CN firmware".
Can someone lead me in the right direction and tell me how to flash my CN version to WW version? Do I just flash the WW firmware off of Asus's site?

I have the Chinese version and I just applied the pre-root ROM ... it actually changed my firmware to WW! Although, bands are the same. :/
Here is a reply to my question on another thread by user 'MironV' : "It seems that installing a different region firmware will work, but the bands won't."
Another reply by 'sorg' : "Flashing firmware from different region won't change supported 4G bands. Bands support relies on region of phone, which is defined in SFI (it's simpler version of ACPI found in PC) OEM1 table, and it's not touched by flashing procedure.
Although, it may be possible to spoof HW region in kernel. But it requires unlocked bootloader."

How i can change firmware version from ww to Cn version

How i can change firmware version to CN version ?
I have read that battery life is better..

Accidentally deleted OS, trying to recover via command prompt [HELP]

I am trying to reinstall the firmware via command prompt but I don't know which one it is from this list of 34 that ASUS provides: [can't post link because new account]
Someone help please?
Which model do you have? Also, I never saw anyone restoring stock firmware from ASUS. Everyone uses the pre-rooted firmware.

Thanks for reply! I have ZE551ML Z00A [2GB RAM 16GB internal]
IFWI version is 0094.0173 (don't know if this helps)
The latest is the one with the highest number, if you have a from china use the cn firmware or ww for world, check the box.
You find the fimware on the product page support.

Updating firmware with the right SKU???

What's the different SKU firmwares? I'm assuming JP is Japan, CN is China?, WW is World Wide version and there's a CUCC, not sure what that one is.
The question is, I have the WW firmware right now can I ONLY upgrade using the WW firmware from Asus site? I ask because WW is still at .97 and there's already been two firmware up (.102) and wondering why Asus is taking their sweet time this round for WW updates.
Isn't there more to the ww firmwares?
There's a way to change SKU version in the all-in-one thread. To change it from WW to CN you need a CN fastboot and recovery image (droidboot.img and recovery.img) instead of WW ones provided in that thread. There are many of these in Chinese forums, or you can just extract it yourself.

UPDATE:
It appears I need 0PJAIMG.ZIP as this will flash on anything and get me back to a working stock.
Where can I get the 0PJAIMG.ZIP file. All the file mirrors on this site are broken and no longer available...

First, you can't use any RUU (0PJAIMG.zip). It needs to match your SKU (841 = Telstra) and since I assume your phone is S-ON it needs to be at least as new as your currently installed firmware. Lucky you, your phone has the oldest firmware version installed that does exist for that SKU.
Second, where did you actually search? All links in my thread are totally fine... (RUUs are linked in the 5th Post. Instructions how to flash can be found in my google sheet which is linked in the same post.)
