i guess it would be alright if you didn't have a real camera, otherwise i don't see why anyone would bother with this.
Don't buy it. I bought one for my samsung i8910.. Its the worst thing you could ever buy.
I bought it back in 2008.. funny enough I have it on my desk still. There is a black circle when using the camera.
Mine looks exactly the same as the OP's link.

Samsung flexible displays, what's to come?

I don't know if everyone saw this year's CES Conference, but Samsung released a bit of information on some nice lookin' devices.
Flexible displays
Innovative technology
A tablet that folds into a phone?
I'll let you be the judge, what do you think?

What's to come is HUGE foldable full HD unbreakable screens that are twice the size of our GN2, lighter and faster. That and a lot of sad looks from currently proud GN2 owners. Sigh.

That video is sick!!! Thanks for sharing this....I've been on the HTC bandwagon for a while and finally jumped ship to the Note 2. No regrets and this video proves this company is moving fwd. I'd recommend fast forwarding the video to 4:13 and 6:27 to cut to the chase...

Just as soon as we all spring for a foldable display they will perfect augmented reality contact lenses and we wont need displays at all. People will just walk around staring into space and talking to themselves.
No wonder we end up looking like the Grays after another 100,000 years of evolution.

[WATERPROOFING] - Would you try this with your phone?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=DZrjXSsfxMQ
They showed an iPhone getting dunked in a bucket of water. Interesting idea. Would anybody ever try this on their phone/tablet/keyboard/laptop?
Now that I took a better look, it's a Sprint iPhone. No better iPhone to dunk in water. Just sayin.

That's really neat technology, but I wouldn't do it to the phone I paid $600 for. To be honest, water damage is the least of my concerns. I'm far more likely to drop it on pavement or gravel.

I sure hope you weren't a can of hydrophobic solution!
I remember seeing the first videos for this and thought it seems awesome. Many kinds of possibilities for the stuff. Just wondering how clear of a coating this stuff is, if it'll affect the touch sensitivity much, heat dissipation, and if it'll muffle the speakers and mic.

What about the connectors for battery, sd and sim cards, headphone jack, usb port.....I'm assuming you'd have to scrape the stuff off of where ever there needs to be bare metal for a connection. If anyone does this be extremely careful of the usb/charging port! It can be easily damaged. And this stuff probably won't be easy to get out of a headphone jack if it blocks the connection.
I'm also curious about the effect it has on the sound, but more importantly the mic. Will others be able to hear you as well?
I'm cautiously optimistic with this stuff. It is awesome, but for a smart phone, I don't know. Kinda wonder if they were just using it as an extreme demonstration, like the guy with a screen door in the bottom of the boat. Sure it can be done, but it is never actually recommended you do so.
Not trying to be a downer, just thinking of all the angles to look at before doing a $600 test. Be careful! And good luck! I really do hope it works w/o any issues!
Oh and someone asked about touchscreen sensitivity. They did not apply it to the screen.

So long, suckers!

I've decided to switch back to T-Mobile after 5 months of service with AT&T. Big Blue's service does not cut it for me, especially at the "discounted" price I am charged!
The G Pro is a nice phone to have and had real potential! Sadly, being locked to AT&T in the states, I am forced to concede to the perils of limited aftermarket products and support
Also, I should mention that the atmosphere on these boards has been awfully sarcastic and negative. I'm in disbelief the state of forums on XDA are allowed to operate in such manner. I know not everyone here partakes in dealing attitudes in comments posted, but the amount of ungrateful and unappreciative persons for whom developers work to make their phone truly customizable is astounding!
Well, it has been quite a learning experience. Wish you all the best. See you at the Note 3 boards.
Oh and thanks. For the Q Slides mod, the lokified root and all the little tweaks I've implemented.
Gotta trade this bad boy in tomorrow! Woo!

My phone's been unlocked. But that's not the issue.

Oh I see what you mean. What I meant was, the OGPro was only released for AT&T and to no other providers, thus reducing interest in aftermarket products.

Maybe go to the app in settings/apps and clear data? Idk. Mine focus fast. I think the quality is superb. I know people gripe but I came from nexus5 and this camera is better even after Google New camera update.

I still have n5 also. This camera is better. Your perception. I don't do drugs not drink so for you to use that phrase says a lot on maybe why your mind and camera doesn't focus. Lol. Enjoy what your prefer and obviously go back to your n5 if you consider it better.

I like the camera BUT I hate and I mean absolutely hate the focus when trying to take a picture of something up close.
I use to have the G2 and I love taking pictures of random things up really close for detail. Might see a frog at work and take a picture of its eye or see a really neat looking spider and take an up close picture. I keep trying to do that with this phone and the damn thing won't focus up close no matter what I do. Just blurry. Tap the screen, it'll focus for a second then go out of focus. EXTREMELY frustrating.

I have some tips that have worked for me. I notice focus is slow when the room is dark, and it's quick when there's tons of light. When using auto, keep the ISO at 200 or 400. Rely on ONLY point and shoot (no manual tap focusing) when you're outdoors and the sun is out. Also, if you're indoors and there's good lighting (very bright lights), rely on point and shoot as well. For dark scenes, go ahead and tap to focus.
I got these tips from hamdir in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51415071&postcount=8428 . Also, check out this thread to see the potential of the camera: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2694621&page=168 .
Play with the camera and mess with the ISO and EV in auto mode. EV will add or take away exposure (+ exposure makes the image brighter, - exposure makes the image darker). For manual mode, mess with the ISO and the shutter speed (the icon that looks like a lens). The higher up you go in the slide bar for the shutter speed, the faster the shutter will be (therefore letting less light in). The lower you go in the slide bar, the slower the shutter will be (letting in more light, but don't go too far down, because you might choose 1, 2, 3, or 4 second exposures).
It's been ok for me. The one problem I have is using my Bank app and taking a photo to deposit a check into my account. It doesn't work anymore.

Same for me and my credit union app. They say the problem is the M8 camera has more zoom than most, so they suggested making the check smaller instead of filling to the marks. I haven't had a check to try with since the suggestion, so I don't know if it works yet.

Today I successfully got a check to scan and deposit. I sized it to about 75% of what it wanted. I also notice when I scan QR codes or barcodes, it reads the code when it is very small.
Good to know.
I did notice the QR scanner liked it when the image is farther away.
