Spare back covers? - LG V20 Accessories

Does anyone know when we could expect to see replacement back door covers on the market?
Since the V20 is supposed to be pretty drop resistant, I was thinking of ordering a spare backdoor cover and spray painting it a really cool color. You know, to add a personal touch to the phone. If I do it though, I want a spare in case I try to sell the phone or trade it in.
I doubt anyone can actually answer this, but I thought I'd try.

battery cover, (to be bedazzled).

my wife wants. to lay swarovski crystals on her phone.
she wants to do it in. a way it can be undone.
best idea I have at the moment is to purchase a zagg tablet screen protector and have it cut at a sign shop to specifically fit the battery cover.
(ive tried cutting these before and the.rubbery texture makes it near impossible to get a perfect cut).
looking for ideas on the feasibility of this idea and/or alternatives.
want to get the cover done plus crystals for a stocking stuffer.
maybe just buy an extra battery cover and use some kind of adhesive? not exactly sure what u are trying to do but it sounds like that may work.

Yeah, extra battery cover is the best bet I'd say they're all over eBay
And you got a very girly wife

Oh my lord, the worst thing you could ever do to a phone. Just get her a white or pink case lol.
Tell her those crystals make her phone look fat.

Hahahahah THIS!

original flip case ..Anyone found a solution for the cover ?

My original case (whick I think is brilliant but has a big manufacturing fault)is starting to fall apart at the edges as with most other users.I thought about applying super glue or tape but wanted to see if anyone was able to solve the problem before I begin experimenting.

Very true ,I wondered how the people who made such a good device can make such a bad cover for the case ,problem is it is very practical and does not add size ,I have the Zenus case also but I prefer the Samsung which is falling apart!
I bought a I would recommend going for a full body skin as the full body protectors give the same protection that a case does but without the added thickness.
My flip cover went through the same as yours, I superglued it but even then it kept coming off.
BTW... I went to the samsung store to see if they had the MHL adaptor, there was a galaxy note booth and the guy there wanted to ask me if I had any grievances...
Told him about the flip cover and the lack of gorilla glass (dont you get me started on that ) The guy later came home and collected my flip cover and said its being sent to samsung and i should hear a reply from them in 2 months... have NO idea what that was about... dont use it anyway so gave it to him...
Yeah, paid $45 for mine. It's cheap junk but a good idea.
Wouah.mine still good. Only a week yet. Too bad i like the flip case a lot!

Guess you are lucky, mine started falling apart since day 3
SAMSUNG THE FLIP COVER IS VERY COOL BUT QUALITY IS BAD SO PLEASE IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF IT BEFORE YOU RELEASE 100.000 MORE OF THESE!
You still have 200.000 of the bad ones?
Give THOSE for free and give THE GOOD ONE when someone pays for it!
A lucky flip cover user here too. Using it for about 5 weeks now. And that includes a lot of trouser pocket time.

At least this flip cover back is thick enough to protect the camera lens better than the stock thin battery cover which doesn't.
Woah~ got mines as a bonus w/ phone. Going on 2 wks old and still intact but the back cover pops out once a while. Not as annoying yet, however I already ordered my Zenus leather case.

Expansys is dropping prices every other week it seems. You can get it now for $32 + fatwallet cashback 2% on top of your credit card reward choice.
And anyone looking for WHITE S-pen replacements, then ebay seller shimshop has some.
I thought I was one of the lucky ones also but unfortunately sooner our later the case goes bad.
I agree that Samsung should release a better version.

Yep, me too. Put it on the day i bought the note (sometime in November - release day UK) and it's still like new! Admittedly, being winter, i have only put it in the inside pocket of a jacket or coat. Maybe it has a chemical reaction to jeans!

I have the Original flip cover too, and yes I Love it too. The edges are wearing, I thought by now someone would have made an aluminum flip case. Thought about ordering the aluminum battery case, but I want the front to be the same and work like the Original flip case.
Somehow leather products with "glued" edges do fall apart quite easily. Happens to ladies' handbags all the time!
As for how to fix it, the answer is simple: blanket stitching!

I can't believe we're all being so tolerant!
This crappy fall-apart "case" from Samsung is totally unacceptable!
They must have known they had a problem when they started to give them out free.
They should have recycled and remade the lot PROPERLY.

Dropped my fecking nexus :-(

Miraculously from 4 ft onto concrete, and I have a chip in the top of the casing, nothing more. Anyone that deals with plastics or such like, any idea if there is something I can use to fill it? Not sure if I wanna call insurance on it as it is a minor chip, but what has been see cannot be unseen so would be willing to give it a go. I'm sure model shops would have something, but before I track one down does anyone have any ideas?
TIA

Tis only a minor flesh wound, I wouldn't worry about it. After my experience with the Otterbox Defenseless messing up my screen I stopped caring. If you're obsessive over it and have the insurance, return it. Personally though, I wouldn't until something really bad happened. Instead, I would look at this as an opportunity to see how much more abuse it could take before I really needed to make an insurance claim.

Please, don't be the guy who returns something just because you ****ed up.
I normally don't buy cases for my phones, but the galaxy nexus is so damn slippery that I just had to. Get a black hard silicon case. It will cover up your ding and keeps the slick look. I have dropped mine so many times and there is ZERO physical damage to the phone.
Yeah I never really put a case on my phones either, but this is the first time I decided to do so. I have a TPU case on it and it adds a little bulk, but I don't mind. I always have an invisibleshield on my phones though.

The bulk is pretty negligible with a phone that is already so big. I wish I put a screen protector on mine. All of my friends/family members with gorilla glass have pristine and beautiful screens after nearly a year or two of use with no screen protector.
Sadly, the galaxy nexus doesn't have gorilla glass and I have at least 4 scratches. Yeah, it sucks but oh well. Still an AMAZING phone and user experience.
If it's where I think it is, going by your description, you can just replace the housing.
Here's a video showing you how:
The housing is easy to find on eBay!
(If it's not the housing you've scratched, just ignore me )

Nah. I ****ed up. I'll be the first to admit, hence I want to repair rather then replace. I dislike cases to be honest and would rather not have one but I'll have a look as recommended, however, knowing that chip is there is killing me

Just replace the plastic housing. Its easy and cheap.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1423785&goto=newpost
i would just replace the housing like the video above, ive had to replace by earpiece and opening the Nexus is sooo easy and you shouldnt have any problems, just make sure you have the right screwdriver so that you dont ruin the screws for later.

I know this is probably a stupid question, but what about NFC through cases????

I am DEFINITELY getting an Otterbox for my phone, and I was thinking of the NFC. Does the Otterbox impact NFC reception???

Unless they start using titanium for their cases, which would be kinda cool actually, it's not going to bother nfc. I can get my Nexus phone in a Trident Kraken case to talk to my wife's naked Nexus 7 through two magazines. A third magazine will block it though. We should be pretty good to go even if both devices are in ruggedized cases.
if you're definitely gonna get the otterbox, and you're that worried about breaking it (I can only assume), I would wait for a little bit because they have not released one yet. Ballistic, Trident nor Otterbox have released a case for it yet. But I'm gonna get the Best Buy insurance so that if I break it (or brick it...I mean the screen shattered going down the stairs and it won't turn back on) I will just return it and get a refurbised one!

Hahahahahahahaha!
When my Atrix bricked itself doing a software update(really, when they say use a full battery, they mean it!) the geek squad dorks sent it in for repair instead of just giving me a new one. Then they lost it!! I had to wait 30 days before they'd give me a new phone!
The Note 2 official flip case supports NFC source. See the connectors in the attached image.
Good Question actually I would think it won't matter at all even with metal aluminum cases thus increasing reception but i could be wrong. Btw, Lol i would love to see the beast inside an Otterbox [Brick-size].

Ya, Noticed that the NFC chip is in the back panel as opposed to the battery, nice to know it won't matter when/if I decide to get a 2nd battery

Any waterproof cases available?

I've been looking for a waterproof case, but I can't seem to find anything. (Anything that doesn't look like a plastic bag, anyway.) I was looking at the Incipio Atlas, but I can't find any place that sells them. Are there any other options?

Did you search it at eBay or amazon?
Yup. I emailed incipio and they said it was still in development and wouldn't be for sale for a couple more months. Nothing else exists as far as I can see.
I would've thought with the popularity of this phone, more companies would be supporting it. Pretty disappointing.

Just curious why you would want a waterproof case with the phone having the nano coating? I know obviously that doesn't mean waterproof but its damn close! Take a look at the 30min water test with the moto g: http://youtu.be/IVaTKG5q4YI?t=14m1s
Now i know you would want some extra protection with a phone thats a bit more expensive but I wouldn't worry to much about it.

I am looking for a case so I can use my phone on a 4 Wheeler and Snowmobile for GPS. Given the nature of both sports, I don't feel the coating is a safe enough bet. I am not looking for a day-to-day carry case. :good: The last thing I want to do is go for an 8 hour ride in a snow storm and risk ruining a phone that could've been protected.
