Mi max update to miui 8 - Xiaomi Mi Max Questions & Answers

Hi guys
I have a xiaomi mi max 32gb with miui global 7.3 stable 7.3.11.0 (0MBCCNDC) which i been told its unofficial rom.
I unlocked the bootloader after I officially applied to xiaomi via the unlock tool.
I would like to update it to miui 8 without bricking the phone.
Can someone help me please.

This has already been discussed in another thread. Just be sure to flash or use instead the official hydrogen ROM (32GB Mi Max) instead of the helium ROM (64GB/128GB Mi Max Pro/Mi Max Prime) since your Mi Max is the hydrogen (32GB) version:
===
For those who do want to get rid of the vendor ROM on their Mi Max helium and install
the recently released Official Global ROM for the helium device, here's the link to the fastboot procedure using Miflash beta:
http://en.miui.com/thread-307139-1-1.html
You will need to select the correct Mi Max helium image files here:
http://en.miui.com/a-234.html
You will need to unzip the *.tgz file to get the *.tar file, then unzip again the *.tar file to get the
fully unzipped image directory. You then flash the entire unzipped image directory using Miflash beta.

Install Official MIUI 10 ZIP

Hello Everyone, I was running miui 10 beta weekly when I stopped getting software updates - which I assume was because the stable version was out. So I thought of trying out custom ROMs but sadly, none of the ROMs give me as much SOT as miui 10. I'm on RR 6.2.0 with TWRP. I downloaded the official miui 10.0.1.0 ROM but I'm unable to flash it in TWRP. Is there any way to install it?
And it's a Redmi Note 5 AI Global Variant, but now in settings of Official RR 6.2.0 it says "Redmi Note 5 Pro" which is the Indian Variant, can that be the reason why I'm unable to flash the Redmi Note 5 Global Stable ROM?
If you want to go back to fully stock I'd recommend to use Miflash, the official Xiaomi flashing utility. Just go to en.miui.com to download latest rom for your device and follow the instructions on there to install.

I have miflash and I have flashed other Mi phones in fastboot mode with it. But I just can't find a fastboot ROM for miui 10 for Redmi note 5 global. Have you come across one? I googled and came up with nothing.

Mi max 3 global 8.11.29

Good day y'all,
I have downloaded the MI MAX 3 GLOBAL 8.11.29 .zip file and am about to flash it via Updater
It says it will erase all my data ...will I really loose all apps and data on my device ?
Is this Android 9 (Pie) BETA ?
I am currently on MIUI GLOBAL 10.0.1.0 (OEDMIFH)
Many thanks
Cheers

If running TWRP your data should be fine.

From MIUI 12.5.1 (fake) to latest global original rom

I just received a Mi Max 3 on MIUI 12.5.1
[12.5.1.0 (QEDCNXM) Android 10 ]
I would like to go back to the last official Gobal rom.
I’m totally lost.
Sorry that no one replied to you. I have a Mi Max 2 (getting a 3 soon) but the flashing procedure should be the same.
Get a global ROM here:
Xiaomi.eu Multilang MIUI ROMs
Latest looks like xiaomi.eu_multi_HMNote9ProMax_V12.5.2.0.RJXINXM_v12-11.zip
You'll need adb, fastboot, and ODIN to flash. There should be guides around here on how to proceed from there.

dev beta rom issue

I've installed (redmi k30s ultra) dev beta rom on bootloader locked mi 10t pro global and camera is not working. i installed that beta rom using rename trick of rom file name through updater app. well i tried same to go back to global version but its not working showing verfiy errors even though rom is downloaded from xiaomi site. all i want do is go back to global verison.. is there any way to do it without unlocking bootloader?
AFAIK, there is no pro exquivalent of the mi 10t sold in china so the CN rom doesnt support your camera. You can use root to manually replace camera blobs from global rom but I bet you end up with a soft brick.
Just wait for global beta

Question Change firmware

Just a quick question, can I flash a Global firmware of Redmi Note 9T 5G on my japanese version of the phone? Because on my japanese version of Redmi Note 9T 5G it has only 1 imei which means I can only use one sim card on the phone while the global version of the device is suppose to support up to 2 sim cards and micro sd card at once. Really appreciate if you can answer my question, thanks!.
Could you post the identification of the model (my phone/characteristics/model)?
It's a Japanese market Redmi note 9T 5G device (Cannong-A001XM). It's running MIUI global 12.0.12.0 (QJEJPSB) android 10 Softbank carrier-specific version
As you can see on the links below, no JP rom for this device.
Surely a model only for Japan and even by flashing a global rom it will not change anything, HW level not SW, like the bands on the CN versions.

So, does it mean I can safely install a global firmware on this device without brick my device?
You will first need to unlock the bootloader (will erase your data).

The device already has boatloader unlocked, if you can help me a procedur to flashing global rom on this Redmi note 9T, sorry for bad English
From what I've seen, the Japan version has dual sim.
It's probably the carrier's rom that's blocking.
