Bootloop after Bootloader Unlock - Sony Xperia M

Hi Mates,
I was unlocking the bootloader of my Xperia M Dual. It went well but after that the phone went into bootloop. I read quite a few threads which suggest to flash stock rom. But I am having a few problems :
1. Cant find Indian stock rom, some links dont have the file others have a brazilian version. Please give a link.
2. Will flashing stock rom would work as I havent installed any backup CWM or TWRP ?
3, Can I flash cynogen nightly directly instead of flashing stock rom ?
4. Other things I should know prior flashing being a newbie.
5. BTW how much time does it takes to boot after unlocking bootloader ?

A1. This thread helped me. - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2532190.
A2. Yes, flashing stock rom would work even if you haven't installed any backup using CWM or TWRP.
A3. You can still flash CyanogenMod Nightlies directly instead of flashing the stock rom and then flashing CM again.
A4. Newbie here too! so I can't actually Suggest you anything
A5. It is supposed to take 5-10 minutes but even my phone went into bootloop.
What I did :-
> Flashed the old TWRP recovery from flashtool
> Installed CM and GApps
> Wiped Data/Factory Reset
> Rebooted the Device.
And VIOLA! the phone works like a charm!
I've been using the ROM for 2-3 days now and I have no major problems as of yet.
Hope this works out in your favour!
Happy Flashing!

After unlocking bootloader Bootloop is normal. You have to flash stock rom to fix it and also you can also flash any custom recovery(Cwm,Twrp) then flash any custom rom to fix it.

Important! Only for unlocked bootloader
- Update Flashtool to latest version
- Flash any stock based 4.0.4 rom or official ftf with Flashtool Skip this step if you are already on a 4.0.4 stock based rom
- Go into recovery and do advanced => wipe dalvik cache and factory reset
- install my rom

Did you follow the instructions correctly?
I did follow the steps. I tried to install the custom roms many times. I flashed the official 4.0.4 ftf and followed step by step. I also flashed DoomKernel before install the custom rom.
So far, I can only flash official firmware but I cannot install custom rom because of the problem described.
Try flashing some other ROM..
Sent from my LT26i using xda-developers app
in order to install ka21 rom, u need stock kernel with cwm.
1)flash .432(4.0.4) firmware on your phone.(dont worry everything that goes wrong can be corrected once you have a unlocked bootloader)
2) flash the kernel from the below thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1680793
3) now, enetr cwm and then install your preferred rom.
u also need to wipe catch partition.
dude u havent installed a kernel...thats y u are having this problem

Thanks so much for this - I have looked at the how to install the rom but can i ask one question? I tried to install the custom recovery in TWRP which found the device but when installing it ran the TWRP 2.6 and not 2.7.0.1 and when i tried to reboot in recovery i got a bootloop so had to reflash the stock rom. I am not sure if this caused the bootloop but because I dont want to make the same mistake again so can you step me through how to get the recovery ready prior to Intalling the rom in twrp??
first you must be on the 4.4.2 bootloader to flash this rom (flash P605XXUCNE2 with odin) 2 :make a fullwipe 3: flash TWRP 2.7.0.1(LTE) with odin 4: flash xKat v3.1 .The end

Stuck on Samsung's Galaxy Note Logo

Hello, I'm having trouble trying to install a custom rom into this device. The thing is that I had the stock 4.4.2 rom, then I managed to root it, and then I also installed TWPR so I could install the custom rom afterwards, well it turns out that I ran into trouble when I realized that after flashing the custom rom I couldn't get it to boot, and then I thought that it might be related to the bootloader. Isn't this tablet's bootloader locked? I know the bootloader gets updated when I update the stock rom, and I suppose it was and I'm on kk bootloader since I'm on 4.4.2 stock. Well it could be that the bootloader is locked and needs to be unlocked? I remember this was true for an HTC I used to have and for my current LG. But I don't know what to do, I mananaged to revert it back to stock after flashing the custom rom since I couldn't get it to work, I'm using odin for everything and following the instructions to the letter, being very careful and all, always wiping data partition and cache before. When following instructions didn't help I decided to try a few things on my own. I first flashed the root, then TWPR then the custom rom, then I tried TWPR, custom rom and then root, then root and custom rom. I've tried like all possible combinations to no avail it gets stuck on Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition logo and the custom rom doesn't boot. I'm so desperate since this is the first android device I haven't been able to install a custom rom on. Now I'm back to stock and lost everything, have to start from scratch now since I didn't back up, I had nothing important on my tablet, but still... I really need someone to help me out. My tablet is working fine now but with stock, no luck with custom rom (Hyperdrive) I don't wanna try other rom because I'm still thinking it has to do with the bootloader, but I don't know if it's locked or what.
sure, boot was ended ? If I remenber well, you need to be patient for first boot of hyperdrive rom, about ten minutes.
if you have have trouble with flashing, may I suggest you to update your tab step by step.
1) reinstall stock rom (seems you have already done that)
2) flash twrp 2.6.X (reboot, and keep time to manage a backup, use your tab, ...)
3) flash a custom rom with twrp (you will be able to restore some data from your backup if needed)
a good way is also to use your stock rooted rom with xposed modules. So you will be able to customize your tab like a custom rom do.

Are you on P605 or P600? The Hyperdrive rom is not for all variants.

[Q] Need Help Guys!

I recently installed CWM after unlocking my bootloader. But realized after that every ROM requires different recovery (boot.img in the roms). But to install custom ROM you have to flash boot.img and that's what I did with the help of flashtool, but after when I'm trying to boot into recovery it's not even starting! let alone booting into recovery! , I think I bricked my phone guys! How to solve it? Please help!
I tried flashing stock firmware ftf with flashtool, and it worked! Now my phone is back stock 4.1.2.
But still one doubt how did flashing boot.img that came with flashtool soft bricked my phone? did I do something wrong? Also that boot.img was of CM 12 that i was installing at that time. Was that because I flashed boot.img even after having CWM installed prior?
Did you flash the rom from 4.3?
*blink*
Ya, I flashed the CM 12 on 4.3. But when I flashed the kernel i.e. boot.img supplied by the this zip-- ( CM11 unofficial FXP-cm-12-20150203-UNOFFICIAL-z3c_2) zip my phone bricked. I think there was something wrong with the zip, Cos today I flashed new cm-12-20150209-NIGHTLY build and it worked!
Can we change the kernel from Cynogen recovery to CWM ? and can CM 12 work with CWM?

Try fotakernel, use either cwm or twrp, they are permanent (until you flash the original fotakernel)

device boots automatically in recovery

Received my zenforce 2 (ZOOA) yesterday and succeeded after various attempts to get bootloader unlocked and TWRP installed.
The problem is my device only boots in TWRP when it's power off and I start it, or if I restart it from TWRP. Besides I tried to install cyanogen and other roms on it, but no matter what it keeps booting into TWRP....
Hoping to get some help
flash stock recovery flash stock rom boot into it do all settings then flash custom recovery again then wipe and then flash your custom rom that happened to me thats how i solved it i also flashed stock droidboot.img
thanx a lot for your answer metty, you saved my phone !
I got to get all done with your instructions, except I reinstalled TWRP img right after installing boot.img and droidboot.im through fastboot
this way I could install custom rom right away
thanx again, really appreciate...

no problem man glad i could help and enjoy the wonder that is android and the zenfone btw you should stay on stock rom with audio wizzard for now otherwise audio sounds trash
Thanx your advice.
Had to move to a custom ROM based on stock anyway, as the other ones based on CM gave me freezes and random reboot (even without xposed installed)
