Questions about the I9195I - Galaxy S 4 Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone happen to have any good info on it? thinking about getting one. does cm work okay on it? I see that it has a few roms for it. Does exposed work on it? Thank you!

Yes, for LTE. There is also for 3G. You have to check what version is yours and use that.

It says in the title of my thread. The i9195i. Neither of those.

The stock rom on l9195l is stable enough!

I know i liked it aswell i was just looking for options. Im sure your an owner of a regular s4mini right?

I own the I9195I. We have 3 ROMs, cm11, cm12.1 and cm13. I'm currently running CM13, which is smooth as butter. Our developer is great and CM14 is coming soon, he's started dev already. Xposed works great

Thanks i figured it had some other stable roms.

It's got a very small community, because it wasn't a very popular model. CM11 was full of bugs. CM12 kept getting random reboots for me, but CM13 is amazing . Makes the phone work great
Sent from my I9195I using Tapatalk

Cool ill try out 13 when my replacement comes in the mail. My new s4mini was all bent up in the box.

I saw a guild how to port from cm to paranoid. I tried but couldn't get past the bootloop. Maybe it would work better after cm is completely working.
here is the link if anyone is interested. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2232773

That's the key. A lot of other ROMs are forks from CM, so once you have CM working, it's not a big jump to get to AOKP, Paranoid, MIUI or whatever.
Doesn't the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One share the same SoC? Not that I know anything about developing but I assumed it would be slightly easier to port ROM's to our device.

Yeah the more roms the better, I'm still a greenhorn myself but hopefully someone better comes along when CM10 is stable.

Hey guys.
I've recently started getting into building AOSP bases ROMs for our I9190/I9195 devices (sorry I9192 users. Somehow I find it difficult to trust those who have two separate phone numbers).
Anyway- a lot of people seemed to like his Carbon JB ROM, myself included. Would it be worth my time building Carbon JB from source and uploading nightly/ as regular as I can?
Bit of a lame question, but I need to know if anyone would actually be interested before I go setting up a new workspace and initialize the Carbon git.

First of all I'd like to thank prox for his time and effort, carbon is a nice rom but I prefer pac. That said the more roms the better

Forget PAC ROM, focus on carbon if that's what you want to do. When you're comfortable with it maybe try aokp :sly:

Many thanks.
Where do you put the new roms because the elder threads are all closed now?
And please do a full port of the (new) slim rom.

Hi, I9192 users are mostly those who have different jobs or working in different country’s that is why they have two sim card and not because they cheat there partner, therefore they need most help and understanding, and if You can try to build Carbon for I9192 than you can prove you can do it all.
carbon built on 3.11.2013
s4 mini i9195 serranoltexx download is ready
i9190 serrano3gxx is uploading now..
i will reopen carbon thread until someone take it from me..

I agree, we have 2 sims for work/personal, most of us, at least. I left my i9000 with cm because I had to carry a dumbphone also for work...
Not about proving something, but more about helping... We with i9192 are very dissapointed that there's no alternative to stock rom
It seems people are interested!
Proxuser seems to have made it clear in this thread that he'll still be giving our devices some dev-attention. Thanks for that, Proxuser.
I9192 Users: I was just kidding about the dual sim malarkey, it'd be great to see your devices getting some attention. I'll compile a Carbon/Pure CM-10.2 ROM for your device soon. I'll need testers, since I don't own the device. I do feel however, that people are gonna start to lose interest in ROMs which aren't based on Android 4.4 or above.
Just to be clear- I'm just a compiler. Proxuser is the one for developer consultation.

LiquidSmooth for Sprint Note 4

There is already a tmobile version and US Cellular version of liquid smooth posted on their downloading page:
http://www.drdevs.com/devs/teamliquid/Nightly/
Does anyone know how to port or build this for the Sprint note 4?
Now that our version of CyanogenMod is making progress it seems fitting for some feature rich roms to come on the scene.
Thank you!

You have to see if the dev will ok the port first. Then you can get the rom ported over.
That shouldn't be a problem. They are very amenable to porting and building roms for new devices.

I doubt that will ever happen, however. I was thinking about making a 5.0 AOSP rom for the tab 3. THe same model as yours actually. Hopefully if I get enough money for more tablets/gear to develop it and have enough time, i'll make it. I will for the sm-t210/r but that may be a bit:crying:

[Q] Could Someone Port This ROM To OnePlus 3?

Hi XDAs OnePlus 3 community!
Before I got the OnePlus 3 I had a Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE (GT-I9506) and saw this awesome ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...m-phronesis-mm-rom-v1-0-feature-rich-t3468592
I tried it and thought it was really nice but it needed a bit better hardware.
And I have been just wondering :What if someone could port this awesome Rom to OnePlus 3?
If someone could´port this ROM to the OP3 that would awesome
And if possible please add DASH Charge : )
Wrong section, this should be in Questions & Answers. That being said, if nobody else steps up I'll give it a go in my free time, it looks promising. But I have minimal experience with Android development so it might take a while.
Oh yea sorry about the section

I thought this would maybe get more attention in this section, and and I appreciate any ones attempts to port this ROM. :good:
And btw sorry for the tried mispellings in this thread.
Why do you want a Samsung based ROM ? Most of the apps in the ROM will not work on the OP3. Stay on stock ROM and enjoy Nougat.
No, there cannot be any possibility to port a TouchWiz based ROM to OP3. No matter what you do, there just simply not enough method and time to do so.
And to be honest, there's other ROM available that could be better than that

Personally I like aicp their 12.1 N from is buggy but if you use their last build of 11 from October it runs flawlessly on 3.2.4 firmware and has customization that I diddnt even know I wanted. I've used a lot of time but it's by far the best
