Any update on this at all? FYI I actually have successfully rooted my LG G4 H815T (Australian variant). When I bought it approx. 1 year ago, (I think it was at 10B), I used a root method and it worked (maybe Easy Root or something). Not sure if it works for later versions though.

Root for H815T

Hey guys. Sorry if this question has already been posted.
My G4 is H815T. I've been looking around for a root method but in vain.
Hope you guys can help out...
Thanx in advance.
The international H815 v10c image works on the H815T, even though the guide says it doesn't.
I had used a pre rooted kdz for the h815t , it was for v10b though

I have an LG G4 H815T running V10h, just wondering what the best method to root is? I've read all of the XDA posts and so far it looks like I just use the V10c for intl versions of the phone but I really don't want to brick the phone as it's on a contract with Optus (Australia) for another year and a half, can someone please help me? can provide more info if needed.

LG G4 H815 American Ver?

Hi i bought a lg g4 used, and the software says euro. sw orginal version is: lgh815at-00-vx10b-global-com-may-01-2015 and sw ver info is: h815x10-eur-xx, when i tried unlocking the bootloader it said it is an american device. I thought american lg g4 were h810/811/etc. Im a bit confused so if someone can guide me, I would really appreciate it. I am trying to unlock the bootloader and root my phone. Since lg wont let me unlock bootloader, i just want to root it and which model rootedimage do i use?
Lg made a carrier free GSM H815 version for the US. Sounds like the seller flash a euro version KDZ over the US hardware to make it appear as a euro version. However, since it is not a true Euro version, it can't be bootloader unlocked.
Use the H815EU root method.

Yeah. Unless you have a preference for CM/AOSP, I would root it and install Xposed with the G4 Tweaksbox and go with that. Pretty much the same as the current ROMs that are out there now.

How were you able to install genisys rom on H815 USA variant? I thought you couldn't flash these versions?

LG H815 TWN MM 2.0c downgrade then root, or migrate to EUR then unlock and root ?

Hello
I've just bought a LG G4 from Amazon UK marketplace.
It came with rom 20c-TWN-xx (Android Marshmallow)
I red many posts about root, unlock, downgrade, and each combination is nearly the same but not exactly the same as mine, and i'm afraid to stuck my phone.
In fact, i wonder if it is possible to replace this TWN release with http://storagecow.eu/Xda/LG G4/H815/Marshmallow 6.0/Europe H81520C_00_1218.kdz using LGUP then obtain an unlocked bootloader from http://developer.lge.com/resource/mobile/RetrieveBootloader.dev?categoryTypeCode=ANRS
If not, is it possible to directly downgrade the 20c-TWN-xx with Lollipop http://storagecow.eu/Xda/LG G4/H815/Europe OPEN 0H81510D.kdz then root the phone with any method ?
Thanks for your help
I'm in same boots as you. I am also wondering if there is ANY way of getting this baby rooted.
Please make a thread on how to root H815 twn please anyone
Sent from my LG-H815 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Please anybody answer can TWN version of G4 be downgraded to european version of lollipop ?????/

No root on MM but on LP you can root.. with h815 bootloader locked....
but you need to find out if you can downgrade to lollipop. because if on MM downgrade to LP it bricks.. depending on the antirollback version.

Can i flash a bell kdz for virgin?

So i just got my old cracked lg g4 h812 canadian model to add to my phone collection seeing that my lg q6 is my daily driver and i can't root it and i wanted to get back into the android game with rooting and all that and i want to downgrade my lg g4 to android lollipop and i can't find any virgin firmwares. So will the bell firmware work for my virgin lg g4?
Btw if it says my devices are lg g4 and lg g6 i put lg g6 to take the place of my lg q6 cause there's no lg q6 option. So now you know

First and foremost: these questions have all been asked and answered in this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/canadian-guide-complete-source-lg-g4-t3212449
Use the search bar in that thread for any other general ones you might have.
Yes - Virgin is on the Bell network. If you want to step up your gain with the G4 H812 - see steadfasterX's thread:
[UNLOCK][UNOFFICIAL][G4] Unlock **ANY** LG G4 device with UsU
You can now unofficially unlock your LG G4 bootloader, install TWRP, root, AND flash selected H811 custom roms on the H812 following the process he outlines. Recommend you seriously consider it.
If you haven't carrier unlocked your phone: as of Dec. 1 2017, Canadian carriers cannot charge for it. Recommend you do it.

I use this site: http://phonefirmwares.com/lg-g4-h812-android-6-0-phone-stock-firmware-rom-canada-variants/ usually but it appears to be down right now. Hopefully it's not defunct. They do have the Bell versions. Yes, you can use the TELUS rom but may be preferable to stick with Bell for now and get your phone carrier unlocked, if you haven't already.
You want to be on Marshmallow if you are going to do the bootloader unlock process. It will give you so many more options and you can have root on Marshmallow if you want. You do not have to root first in this process, it comes after the unlock and TWRP install.

Site is up now: https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-h812-firmwares/
Just tried it. They changed their URL.
Scroll down to the latest 6.0 version if you plan to bootloader unlock and select a later version (later version e.g. z instead of a)

You'll have to Google for it then ... OR search the Canadian H812 guide thread and search Bell/Virgin there and see if a member can help you in one those searched posts for a kdz - you do not have to stick to the E version if there's a later more security/bug - free up-to-date one ...
