[ROM][I9505][AROMA] Samy Deluxe ROM - True Sound of Liberty (1.6.2015)

Thank you for your continuous interest in my work. I am happy to announce a new updated version of my Samy Deluxe ROM but please do not expect new versions on a daily basis. I release whenever I feel like and there is no masterplan or schedule I follow. As the Clash said, “the future is unwritten”, which means this could be the last Samy Deluxe update, or another step towards my world domination plan. Who knows?
First Samy Deluxe Release based on Android 5.0 Lollipop
This latest release is finally based on Android Lollipop but still fully adheres to my Samy Deluxe principles. No fancy-bull**** tweaks, no super-secret sauce is included, every element is straight to the point. It includes many (read carefully: not all!) Galaxy S6 features and apps, because I strongly believe this is what Samsung should have brought to all of its devices instead of forcing people to upgrade their hardware twice a year whenever Samsung releases a new flagship smartphone.
Since I am not a developer I haven’t been able to fully port all existing Galaxy S6 features. There are things missing which I am not able to fix.
I am also not including detailed instructions on how to flash this onto your Galaxy S4 because most people will not read it. If you were able to successfully flash a prior Samy Deluxe ROM version you will be able to do so again.
I installed the ROM pretty much like everybody else does. I copied the file to the internal disk, rebooted into recovery, went through the AROMA-Installer and kept my fingers crossed afterwards for a while since the very first boot up process takes an endless time.
I encourage everybody to take and modify this in every possible way and I neither don’t mind if you credit it or not, nor can I control what you are doing. Even though I must admit that I have some advanced mind control skills that will probably trick you into keep coming back here on a daily basis.

Do I have to full wipe before installation?
Yes, most probably you will get some errors so a full wipe (can be done via Aroma Installer) is recommended.
Do I have to flash a bootloader or modem?
Please use a Lollipop bootlader and modem if you encounter errors. Which one doesn't matter. Do not ask where to get them or how to flash. This is a development thread. Seak assistance in an appropriate thread - there is plenty of help here at XDA but you want everything directly served to you. Well, sorry but this is a "bring your own beer party"!
How often will you release updates and fixes?
Definitely maybe.

Using Samy Deluxe ROMs will make you sexier. In case you are sexy enough I would urge you not to use this ROM.
Apart from Samy Deluxe ROM, there are a ton of other great releases and I would always recommend using the one that fits your needs best, no matter what the name is.

Download to internal SD card, do not put it on your external SD-card
Reboot into recovery. Please use TWRP
FullWipe or use option to factory reset
Install and reboot
Flash other addons after first boot (very important)
Q: What can I do if there are some errors?
Errors are likely to be there. This is still due to its nature a work in progress. However, before posting, read if the issue hasn't already been mentioned.
If you decide it hasn't, report the error and attach a logcat.
Q: Will you support any other Galaxy S4 versions?
Short answer: No. I don’t have your device and thus will never release anything I didn’t have the chance to ruin it myself….

After you choose "install zip" it is an option twoard the bottom. Uncheck that.

Also don't go back to 4.3?

I don't know about original 4.3 builds, all I can say is that I switched between 4.3 and 4.4 custom ROMs without a problem, but AGAIN: I don't know about official builds/stock odin packages.

Hello there , Did you use @friedrich420 rom as base mate? and why arent you giving him any credit or something. or your part of hes team? hehe and Sound setting is Fcing when i try to change the volume

I did use the SecSettings.apk that was posted here a couple of days ago. I credited the thread starter. If that was taken from somewhere else I am sorry and will credit as stated in my first post.
Volume works fine here and is no issue so I guess you must have dirty flashed or something.

Thank you so much! I have struggled to find a good daily driver rom for my note 3. This has had no issues in the past couple days that i've used it!
Hopefully this rom will last me till I upgrade to the Note 5.

You must have done a lot more than simply deodexing the rom, it's not even 1GB,
I never seen a deodexed debloated stock touchwiz rom that small.
You must have remove a lot of stuff!
Also you forgot to mention which Galaxy phone model this rom is for.
( G928T - N920T or ??? )

Only WIPE SYSTEM

With the proper Arter97 Kernel, would this ROM work for the standard T-Mobile S6 edge 925T? Also does this ROM retain the T-Mobile WiFi Calling?

This rom will NOT work properly if at all on a G925T, even the screen
sizes of the G925T and G928T are different and that's just for starters.
This rom can retain Wifi Calling if used with arter's v4.1 custom kernel.
But this custom kernel is ONLY for G928T and Note 5 variants.
Sorry about that.

I'll have an update up here in the next couple of hours has reboot menu as well as disabled signature check and I'll try and add a couple more things. I'm still pretty new to this so just give me some time I compile CM custom rooms but never modded TW before so let's see what I can do! Lol

I have the SIXPERIENCE S6 edge+ ROM installed on my 925T with Arter97 4.1 925TW8 Kernel and all works perfect even with the changed dpi. Only reason I am seeking a T-Mobile based ROM is to gain the Wifi Calling back but this ROM should theoretically work just like other ports. I just wanted to see if anyone has tested it out yet, if not I will give it a shot and keep you guys posted.

Just be careful cause the rom has a boot partition that is in the updater script if your boot partition is not /dev/block/mmcblk0p15 then you need to change it
As well as model and fingerprint but yeah go for it bud just make a backup! Lol

If this rom was not so stripped down I would flash it myself, but I cannot complain
cause after all this is the very first deodex rom which is specifically for the G928T.
Perhaps if you have the time you can cook up another version of this rom which
has not been stripped down so much if at all, there are a lot of people who know
how to debloat and what to debloat.
Personally speaking I never debloat at all, I freeze apps since I know that by debloating
we don't save any usable space at all on our sdcard, the partition for the rom & sdcard
are separate and both are at a fixed size which cannot change without re-partitioning and
there is no noticeable speed difference with a 1GB or a 1.5GB rom.
But as I said, this rom is the very first deodex rom for the Tmobile G928T phone
and I am sure that many people will love to flash it and give it a try.

Yeah just hate all the pre installed apps taking up space in my app drawer! Lol yeah ill post a pure stock deodexed in the OP as well for those that want it

There is a fix for that too, get a launcher which has the feature of hiding apps which
are in the app drawer, I use "Next Launcher 3D" which has the option to hide apps
and there are many other launchers which have that option too.
Also I am sure that there are a lot of apps at the playstore which were made specifically
to hide apps for those people who don't want to change launchers.

okay nice rom so far, i flashed didn't give it much chance to settle in though, i was having trouble with the phone ui. when i got a call phone would ring but call ui fashing in and out couldn't answer. seemed a bit buggy. but so far so good keep at it mate:good:

I was asking overdrive about the fix for it. He said
libselinux.so from original s7e base. this required a clean install as well or still doesn't work
it's not missing. you need to get libselinux.so from the s7e base rom. sm-g935f specifically and copy that file in the s7e rom and install clean.

I don't think it's flashable. I contains mods you have to un-zip it and then use them by yourself.

U you have to unzip folder and flash the mods one by one
