Tech21 Antiglare Impact Shield - LG V20 Accessories

http://www.t-mobile.com/accessories/lg-v20-tech21-impact-shield-anti-glare.html
Just got this screenshield from a T-mobile store and had them apply it. The fit covers most of the screen- from the top of the second screen to the middle of the LG logo below. Screen responsiveness is excellent. Feel is good. I am neutral on the antiglare aspect- and a clear variant may be available- but not from T-Mobile. There are no bubbles. Tech21 touts impact resistance.
I was frustrated by the lack of glass protectors with adequate screen coverage. Applying these protectors to the V20 was also quite frustrating- either prism effects or poor coverage.
The Tech21 protector was expensive- but seems to be a decent value.

I have this protector too and love it. It will hold me over till a better tempered glass option comes along.

Found one today on Amazon that covers the whole screen and has the slight curves top and bottom to run with the screen. The reviews were all very good and the photos added more to my confidence so I pulled the trigger. I am feeling hopeful about it.

Anyone use Verizon's Anti-Glare Display Protectors?

http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/accessory?action=accessoryDetails&accessoryId=46245
Anyone used this? Does it work to hide your screen from onlookers? Does it degrade the screen quality when viewed straight on?
Thanks for any input!
I bought it because the bodyguardz kiosk did not have the DX in stock yet. The Verizon screen doesnt cover the entire glass top. It only covers where the picture is actually displayed. It's not a security screen so it doesn't block onlookers. The anti-glare doesnt really work that well and I can't really tell you want the screen looked like before since I put it on immediately after receiving my phone. The screen is more of a plastic protector where as bodyguardz is more of a softer film. I know Verizon's screen protectors can get scratched but bodyguardz will leave imprints if you push a nail or key into it. It's really personal choice on what kind of screen protector you like but if you have a bodyguardz kiosk they will replace it on the spot for you since it is a lifetime warranty.
it doesn't hide your screen from onlookers, its just a typical screen protector to protect the screen from unwanted scratches, etc, once you place it on tho, scrolls not as fluid as without the screen protector on.
I have the Verizon ones on my phone and they suck.
They make that beautiful screen look like crap, they attracked more fingerprints than the screen itself and they only protect part of the screen.
As soon as I can get some bodyguardz or any of the other manufacturers brands I'm going to get one and replace it.
The Verizon screen protectors are terrible to say the least. The seriously impact image quality.

I have the Verizon one on and I doesn't seem to mess up the image up at all like the others are saying.
Sent from my Eris using XDA App
I'm using one, It doesn't seem it impact the image quality for me.
I've ordered a SGP Ultra Crystal Steinheil Film simply because it covers all of the glass, where the Verizon covers the area that you interact with, but leaves the "Motorola" at the top and the "Verizon" at the bottom uncovered.
I didn't buy the verizon one because I know someone that bought it for their HTC Incredible and it was pretty bad. It really took away from the nice screen and was quite a fingerprint magnet. I referred her to the Zagg screens and she couldn't believe the difference.
My Zagg screen should be in any day now...
I bought a pack of them but did not install them right away, they helped a lot for glare when using the car dock during the day and did not seem to really impair the screen visibility.
Bought and installed. Definitely helps with glare but does seem to degrade clarity a bit. As for tactile feel I would say it's better than glass alone. I find the glass to b a major fingerprint attractor. But I will probably replace with something better but what?
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
Verizon one is junk. Just installed it tonight and a complete waste of money. It distorted the screen a significant amount. Unacceptable to me. I usually use a piece of vinyl window covering which is quite transparent but you have to cut it to size. Lasts forever though.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
Agreed, very distorted. Would prefer them to just be clear. I like the feeling of them though, on the plus side.
They do kinda suck, but work good until you get better protectors
And also as emergency protectors in-case your nice one gets damaged
I also got the 3 pack for only $7 so I'm not complaining
I have one on mine. Was using the phone without the screen protector for a few days then put one on. The texture for me is better, my finger can glide easier especially when using swype. Like someone else said, it does cut down the glare while in the car do dock. The clarity does degrade a little, but it's not horrible.

Why are people using protectors? This thing has gorilla glass...?
I got the invisiskin thing from bestbuy. I had seen old demos from other devices, looked pretty indestructible. I bought one and am still planning to put it on. But I hate the plasticy feeling you can get. Or the color prisming I was getting with the anti glare.
Is gorilla glass really that good? I stopped using cases, I actually enjoy looking at the phone I bought. My DX is backordered and I just peeled off my ipod anti-glare screen from my Eris. A test until the new one comes. Tapping out this post has been pleasant enough.

I love the screen protector from verizon! My wife had it on her iPhone and i was jelouse, now i upgraded both of us to Droid X and i got her the glossy one and i have the smooth one from verizon. It just makes sliding accross the screen so much smoother.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
The verizon one is garbage
it is frosty looking and it DOES NOT COVER THE WHOLE SCREEN AREA
If you want the crystal clear smooth one or the more frosty style fingerprint proof one get these:
http://www.sgpstore.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=droid+x&osCsid=qo3fst8pajuj0k1tbmlpokic21&x=0&y=0
they are quality and cover the whole screen area, i have both. The yellow or the black ones, that is, not the one of the left.

Because gorilla glass does not mean unscratchable.
i use the verizon ones and yes they distort screen image quality a little but the matte finish is smooth and barely any glare.

Review :Brando Workshop Ultra-Clear Screen Protector (PICS)

I decided to try something new and went with the Brando Ultra Clear. The protector retails for $13.00 and. There is also Anti-Glare one also but the one I chose was Ultra Clear which maximizes clarity.
The installation is straight forward and requires no liquid to apply. Simply peel off the front film, peel off the back film, and apply. The fitting is close to the edges of the screen as possible there is cutout for earpiece grill but not for ffc. Due to the screen protectors high clarity it does attract fingerprints but can be easily be rubbed off. I highly recommend Brando Ultra Clear as the price is affordable, the quality is great, and the fit is amazing. when i watch a video on my phone my expression was HOLY S**T i didnt know my phone screen was this good and how beautiful and crisp the picture was. and i have used martin fields this 1 compares really good and for much less $
Inside the package it comes with :
1 Screen Protector
They shoudve at least include a cloth in the package.

Your welcome. Ya invisible shield reduces alot I've used it. It was my 1st screen protector. Brando compare to it is night and day.

Very good. Basalguardz have awesome fitting but since I tried this screen protector I like it over arm station they send me a sample better than clarivue I used which was garbage peeled off in week. I highly recommend this screen protector cause the clarity is awesome.

Your Clarivue peeled off? I've had mine on for more than a month and no signs of lifting anywhere.
Still waiting for mine to arrive, I've always used Brando, they're very good. Some of the cheap (and expensive) crap that my wife has bought for her phone really has made the Brando look good. I'm sure there are better out there but it's not too expensive, and no water !
When you install this screen guard, you will not feel a thing sort of invisible. Though at the back of your mind, you know that it offers protection on the display. It is also very easy to install as it kind of clasps the screen when you apply it. Some experienced bubbles on the edges but this product comes with a mini card that lets you push the bubbles away.

Screen protector

I got my gnex for a quite time now and finally it got scratch. It's not big one, but it annoys me. Now I'm in for a screen protector. Since I dont knowanything about them, can you recommend me some good ones that has good features like sun light reflect, no fingerprints, unoticable, etc. (I dunno, those kind of stuff). and if possible link on ebay
cheers
I use the skinomi tech skin.

I'm going to purchase this because you said it's a good one! Well no but seriously, I'm going to look around some more so if anyone knows any protectors that can back it up I'll take a look. But as it stands, I'll probably be buying this one
I bought an awesome pack of three on Amazon when I first got my GNex, let me see if I can find them in my purchase history.
They're anti-glare, and you can't see your fingerprints because they have a matte finish.
EDIT: Here they are...
I'm using the Herdanon protector. It's amazing. I forget it's there.

My bad. I confused the names of the screen protector and cover. My screen protector is the Steinheil Ultra Crystal. Its not cheap, but I can't tell the difference between it and glass.

I would recommend all screen protectors by SGP
They're way more expensive, but in my opinion it's worth (Steinheil Ultra Oleophobic , would be a good choice)
Also for more protection than just a piece of plastic, i use the fantom glass screen protector which is also pretty nice.

+1 for this. I have used several other screen protectors (ZAGG, Spigen, Clarivue and a couple of others), and this one, while not the easiest to get on, works great. Great feel and I like the way the screen looks when it is on. Because it is a matte protector, it is not invisible, but no real orange peel and it is not sticky at all - great finger feel on the screen! And cheap as well!
I hated any screen protector that I put on my Galaxy Nexus, after buying it I put on an Xtremeguard wet apply full body, after 4 months, I took it of.
Screen protectors suck and reduce the usability on the phones at times, some of them are pretty sticky or not as slippery and smooth as the glass.
PIE from AOSPA has never been so easily, I still use a case, but I bought my phone to actually use it, and I've been affecting my usability by babying it. It'll be so worth it unless you're really that paranoid about a scratch here and there.
No screen protector doesn't work for me. I work in a machine shop and metal chips find their way in my pockets daily. I prefer the non anti-glare 3 pack from Walmart or target. I forget the brand but they're cheap enough and don't interfere with usability.

Currently unavailable - this is the message i get .
Try Realook. These are excellent: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008TKDOB0/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Or these :
http://www.amazon.com/Tridea-Protec...d=1365426659&sr=1-1&keywords=tridea+galaxy+s3
http://www.amazon.com/SPIGEN-SGP-Protector-Coverage-International/dp/B008RAH7CE/ref=pd_sim_sbs_cps_1
I have no experience with the Tridea but definitely don't chose the SGP curved crystal. The Realook is a lot better than that one.
Realook is no good for the s3... Scratches easily and not a good fit. I returned a realook for the tippin... I'd wait to see if they become available again.
I now have a SGP matte which is not full coverage. I like it, but i want the ultra clear.

That is good to hear that the Tippin is nice. I loved the SGP Curved Crystal fit but the durability was terrible. It dents easily. I ordered the Realook and am VERY satisfied so far. Only been using it for about 3 weeks and it is definitely better than the SGP.
My question: I was going to order the Tippin but the pics on Amazon look like it does not wrap all the way around the home button and ear piece. It looks like a full coverage sc but is cut out around the ear piece and home button like some of the screen protectors that are not full coverage. Can you verify that it covers as much as the curved crystal or Realook?
I may have to give the Tippin a try next time if it has the same coverage.
Thanks!
Full coverage around home button and speaker... The sensors and camera is just one long opening though.
It fits so good it's like I don't have a protector on the screen.

Screen protectors?

Is there any company out there that makes screen protectors like SPG? Currently I have the Verizon screen protector with the diztronic tpu case and it's already peeling. I know Skinomi makes one but it's a wet application and I really don't like the feel of it. I know Skinomi has a sticky feeling to it like Zagg when you glide your finger on the screen. I have searched across the Web. Seems like no love for the Maxx.
Sent from my XT1080 using xda app-developers app
No, Skinomi is the best protector. Zagg is a piece of crap! I have used multiple Skinomi protectors (never the whole body ones) and loved all of them. I have the Skinomi on my MAXX right now and my fingers glide like on polished glass. You have to be in a dust-free environment and have an assistant help spray your fingers with the applicator. There is a science to doing it right. Also the lifetime warranty is awesome.

Well I also got a screen protector for Droid ultra a month ago...this time I just tried to go for something different rather than following the same zagg and skinomi products...I purchased an Amzer universal screen protector...it was a bit costly but it is such a fine on the phone that it makes my cell phone screen safe and sound for lifetime... I have also purchased another one for my N7(2013) too...

SON OF A B... I feel like I am being punished for upgrading early or something! I have the anti glare screen protectors. The girl at the store did a GREAT job of putting them on. She even used scotch tape and everything to eliminate dust. Well...I'm on day 6 of use, and now my protector is peeling off. Why are so many things going wrong with my purchase! I'll call it bad luck and have her put a different one on and hopefully week 2 of my trial will go better and the notification volume issue will be resolved.

I agree with skinomi being on top, still have a skinomi on my original droid razr maxx for almost 2 years and you cant barely tell its on there.
I bought a skinomi and I think it sucks. When I think screen protector I think of something hard that can not be scratched. These "tech skins" are some kind of soft gel. I actually gouged it with my fingernail while swiping.
I use the xtremeguard. Feels rubbery and not as durable as I expected. I scratched it intentionally using my fingernails and it failed me.
Sent from my XT1080 using xda app-developers app
using skinomi.. it is a soft type material but protects well.. and the items it comes with just makes it easy to install. if you gauge it with any small scratches or even your fingernail.. dont worry about it, it heals itself back.
Here's a follow up on the verizon anti glare 3 pack. I'm still on my first one. It's got quite a few tiny marks but not visible when display is on.
Once in a while my defender or Trident cyclops cases will make the edge bubble ever so slightly but no dust has accumulated and upon removal of cases with built in screen protectors it goes away.

So has anyone found any glass screen protectors for the Droid Maxx? Phone's been out for a while and I still can't find any sellers..
nitro glass doesn't make one yet... im South New Jersey..and our mall has a kiosk called ClearCoat... pretty sick screen protector...
Another +1 for Skinomi. I am currently using it. Application was a cinch. And they have an application video to aid. It is applied and I put a Otter box on top. Feels and looks great. Not as stick or gelly as I expected. Perfect.
Friend still insists best buy sold tempered glass screen last year. Still searching.

Long story short, my mother just got this phone a few days ago and I know the amount of abuse she inflicts on her phones. She normally just throws it into her purse with all the other stuff. I'm trying to find a protector that can handle whatever may hit the screen. I've used Skinomi and like them but I've used a tempered glass protector and I like those a lot more. Do any of you have a recommendation for what type to get?
P.S. I already have found her a case, so the body of the phone should be safe.

I haven't seen any of those for the Ultra series yet. I have a Skinomi, and have had it on the phone for 5 months now - it's just fine. Occasionally the case will start to peel the edge a bit but it's always easy to get it to adhere back down. In fact, I haven't seen that happen in weeks.
So yesterday I removed my anti glare screen protector (verizon 3 pack) because it was due for a change. The screen was so hard to see, very shiny and reflective, but it did look slightly clearer.
But I became weary and installed another one. Lol.
Anyone have clear full body armor?
