Launch any app with the screen off gestures - Oppo Find 7 and 7a

I have made a mod for the oneplus one. And since i think these devices have much in common I'm curious if the mod works on the find7 as well.
Is there anyone who wants to try it?

@Thomson2412:
First of all - if anybody with Find 7 is to flash this, he will probably have a custom ROM and it does not have to be CM.
Your zip is obviously for CM ROM. I am using OmniROM with Android 7.1 at the moment.
I flashed it and found out it is not working at all. Altought, it does add the options to settings panel.
Setting any option does not do anything and checking Haptic feedback for any action causes crash.
---
When I flashed the Omni version you have in your original thread (after I removed the OnePlus related checks) the settings options were not there at all - it is in Settings - Device Features.
1. Setting app for Camera gesture works.
2. Clicking on setting vibrator strength causes crash.
And I might be wrong, but it seems that flashing that zip messed up my "menu button one-click".
I do not get any menu popups anymore. Even when I put the original version back..

@Thomson2412 hi I find it's nice feature since I have used this kind of feature when I had oppo f1... Now I am using zuk z1 a msm8974/sd801 device... Can you help me to port it for my device.? Thanks in advanced..

I can't add gestures to a rom that doesn't have them by default because that would require a kernel change and I'm not capable (yet) to implement "new" gestures. Currently I don't have the time nor interest in learning how to change a kernel. So if your device doesn't have gestures I'm afraid I cant be of any help. I only alter what gestures do not add them or create custom ones.
I hope this answers your question, if not feel free to ask some more

If you are talking those off screen gesture features which comes in OPPO phones mostly (like draw C to open camera or draw M to open music app ) then these kind of features "by default" we dont have in any stock or custom rom But
if Double to tap wake screen (D2W) feature is enough to work your mod on my device then yes we do have this thing in all ROMs by default(kernel enabled )....,,

Well, I can tell you right off the bat in Rom stat bar options would be great! Center clock or hide clock, change battery icon or battery bar. That drives me nuts all cluttered to 1 side!

I can try to separate the toggles and notifications in a cool and unique way, but I don't want to infringe on any patents.
I have a good idea though as to how I am going to do it and I think you will like it
For the CM 12.1 port:
Not sure how much demand there will be for this, but I would love an Internet speed meter baked in to the ROM and available on the status bar. I currently use Internet speed meter app but if it was part of the ROM that would be great! (used this on an S4 GPE ROM and it was more reliable than the app and didn't clog the notifications)
This is great to hear!
My question is, I have always heard exynos devices were hard/impossible to get good aosp roms working on. Is this not the case?

I want stability over features.
A toggle for data on/off and brightness control on the status bar would be great.
I would like to be able to use custom RGB LED notifications by app. Also prefer to have the stock lollipop quiet hours setup right on the volume slider settings button. Agree with the stability over features request. Rather have 3 things that work than 5 with 4 working and one that reboots the phone randomly. That seems to be more a CM thing with their endless commits though... I heavily prefer at least the option to stay battery friendly rather than go after the ultimate benchmark score. Just my preferences here as you did ask for requests.
Not really a feature but maybe u will do it anyways.
I want a clean working stable cm port without the rest of the stuff people are requesting.
Like a clean copy and a bloated copy of the ROM. Give us a choice.

Double Tap To Wake feature

Hi all
I want to ask about the possibility of getting the "Double Tap To Wake" feature on our ZL
Recently I've flashed android Lollipop on my zl and rooted my device
the only thing I'm missing now is this feature
Thank you
You can just install xposed and use double tap notification area to sleep.

Actually, it does... Still in alpha stage, but functional, with quite a few modules available for LP. There is a lot of info available on this topic.
But speaking of DTTW - from what I know, it is a kernel functionality, and can't be done using Xposed, anyway.
Double Tap to Wake works in Cyanogenmod
(It's a Kernel feature)
Maybe you give it a try, works perfect for me.

[DEVS REQUIRED] Is it possible to enable double-tap-to-wake function on G Pro?

I have always dreamed of having the double-tap-to-wake function on this phone. As far as I know, the kernel has to be capable of supporting this feature.
So I was wondering... Is it possible for any developer to modify or create a kernel that supports this feature? I feel that this will be very appreciated by the G Pro community. Also, if the is a hardware or any type of restriction, please tell me.
Thank you for your attention
Well Dan its all up to our master @Emmanuel U if he decide to integrate it.
Personally i dont think it's a good idea. I had it on 4.3 roms (back in days) with mserg kernel(i think),
and as a postpaid user dont need it. I had a lot of in pocket unlocks and some nice surprise bills
It would be nice as a possible enable/disable feature but prolly wouldn't use it... cheers :good:

You're right with the accedental unlocks, but it would be nice to have it as an option. I use a case that covers back and screen, so there are less probabilities for that to happen in my situation. I know it's not necessary, but again it's nice to have more options available. Best regards

I can look into implementing it, but I would never default it enabled or even encourage using it. Those kinda things like to suck up battery plus like you said, can have unintended outcomes.

[Xposed] (Security) Disable Quick Settings Pulldown on Lock Screen

This is just a simple Xposed module that disables pulling down the notification shade / quick settings tiles while on the lock screen (but doesn't break media player controls on lock screen). Only tested on Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL on Android 10 (more on this later).
Background: This has always been an annoying aspect of Android for me, and it's dumb from a security standpoint. Being able to pull down the quick settings tiles on a locked phone is dumb. Why hasn't Android natively built this in yet? Using this and Gravity Box to disable power menu on lock screen makes me feel a lot better in the event my phone ever gets lost or stolen. It's dumb that anyone can steal your phone and immediately toggle your settings (turn off WiFi, Mobile Data, toggle Airplane Mode, etc) and/or turn the phone off... I've been spoiled for years by the OG HTC devs (particularly LeeDroid and Team Venom) and their ROMs with these features baked in, so it's back to using Xposed to fill that gap for me and my wife, lol. Anyway, I pair these mods along with the Lockwatch app from Play Store and it gives me more peace of mind. Hey, anything to increase the chances of recovering a lost or stolen phone, am I right?
Credits / Technical Details: This module is based off of char101's published Xposed Repo module, and all credits and thanks should go to him. This is the first app / APK I've compiled so it was a nice learning experience, but it was all based off of his source and I really just needed to remove a few lines of code to get it to work properly with our phones. His mod worked fine and disabled the quick settings pull down on the lock screen, as intended. The problem was that it would also prevent media player controls from functioning (and I would assume other possible functions as well). To fix this, I just removed DISABLE2_NOTIFICATION_SHADE references from the code, leaving DISABLE2_NONE and DISABLE2_QUICK_SETTINGS untouched. The mod still works perfectly as intended. Only tested on Pixel 4 / 4 XL on Android 10. I'm sure it would work on other devices as well.
I really just did this on a whim for me and my wife's own phones and wasn't planning on sharing it, but I figure other people may have also wanted this for their P4's as well, so enjoy. Again, all thanks go to @char101!
Installation:
- Download .APK file attached to this post.
* If you have char101's original module installed already, I would highly recommend uninstalling it first.
- It's an Xposed module. Install the APK and enable in your Xposed Manager.
- Reboot and test.
Based on: https://repo.xposed.info/module/com.github.char101.qslock
Source for modified module: https://github.com/i5lee8bit/xposed-qslock-P4mod
Just noticed something that worried me at first, but turned out to be nothing of concern afaik, but in case anyone else gets spooked by it: I just noticed last night that if you launch the camera while on the lock screen, you can still pull down the notification shade. Same can be said for other apps that can be active over lock screen (e.g. Phone app during active call).
However, the quick settings are still inaccessible while locked. The notification contents that do show will follow the same rules as your settings, so if you have it set to hide sensitive notification content (which you probably should... otherwise 2-factor authentication is extremely pointless if your device were lost or stolen), you still won't be able to see the notification content itself, just that there is a pending notification for that particular app.
I hope you're finding the mod useful, for anyone who is using it. Please let me know if you find any issues with the module, thanks. I'm by no means a developer, but I have more free time than usual for obvious global reasons and it's a fun learning experience while the free time lasts. =)
I've been using the original NoQSInLockScreen, and while it did the job, it really bothered me that you couldn't use media controls on the lock screen (or expand notifications).
This mod took care of that problem. Really happy with it!
Just wanted to say thank you for putting it up!

Just wanted to let you know, as a fellow (now former) user of this mod, that I found a better way of doing this! So just thought I'd share:
Using GravityBox app for EdXposed framework you can simply define which individual QS tiles you want to secure. That way you still have access to the QuickSettings pulldown menu from the lockscreen (unlike this mod which disables it altogether), but things like Wi-Fi, Location, Airplane Mode etc. are secure and not accessible until you've unlocked your phone. It's a much more practical and elegant solution in my opinion.
Check out my post on this from Reddit where I describe the steps if you're interested:
https://www.reddit.com/r/LineageOS/comments/gdvwml/securing_quick_settings_tiles_on_lock_screen/
Can't wait to try, does your mod support Android 11?

I completely forgot about this mod, haha. But thanks for letting us know!
As @nanquan mentioned (a long time ago, lol), you can also achieve (essentially) the same thing by using GravityBox. It is indeed a more "elegant" solution, and since I already use GravityBox heavily, I now just use GB's tweaks to lock down the main comm tiles.
But I'm glad this still works, for those who still prefer to use it for whatever reason. I can see it still being useful if you have a lot of custom QS tiles and want to keep it all locked down.

Hello,
this is a great feature and I would like to install on my pixel 7 android 13.

Question Can you guys help me pick a stock android 12 rom to flash?

My Poco f3 is my daily driver and I can't test lots of rooms rn and I was wondering if you guys tested different roms and would be so kind as to recommend a rom. My most important feature is to be able to unlock just by fingerprint touch or press (as in without the need to double tap/wake up the screen first). Yeah features and customization without diminishing stability or battery life
I use Evolution X but it's Android 13.
It has a Black Mode and lots of customization. It's a Pixel ROM so it also has Pixel-exclusive system apps and features. I can recommend it It also receives frequent updates and has a big community on Telegram.
The question is, do you want a simple AOSP ROM or a Pixel ROM with more features and customization.

Yes, this is the default behaviour when having set-up a Fingerprint.
Doesn't every ROM do this by default? I think even MIUI. You can also configure to only scan for Fingerprint when Screen on, on Evolution-X too.
