If I switch on wifi calling on Tmobile, caller cannot hear any dial tone/ringtone when they call me but my phone will ring as normal. One thing I noticed is that the caller is calling on a landline. I called Google support and they are not aware of this issue and send me a replacement phone. I have the same problem with the replacement phone. Does anyone have the same issue? Any idea on how to resolve this?

I am having the same problem on my new Pixel XL with WiFi calling on my end. I didn't have this issue on my Nexus 6 or 6P, so something is going on. I'm following this for a resolution.
EDIT: Yesterday my brother called me from his Verizon mobile phone and didn't hear it ring on his end, so it doesn't seem to be a landline only issue.
I'm bumping this up as it's still happening on my stock rooted Pixel XL with the January NMF26U update, and I haven't found any resolution anywhere. Has anyone else had this problem and found the solution? It sucks that I can't use WiFi calling because of this issue.

I dont think it's the phone, or at least not just this phone. I had the same thing with other devices using Wifi Calling.

Agreed, although as I said in my first post, this didn't happen on my Nexus 6 or 6P. I have the same ISP and the same T-Mobile Personal Cellspot/WiFi Cellspot Router that I had with the other phones. I see that you are on T-Mobile as well, and most of the complaints I find online are also T-Mobile customers with various phones.
Has anyone figured out a solution?
I'm currently on T-Mobile and I have the same issue. I thought it was on a landline at first, but tried with a co-workers phone (Sprint) and it doesn't ring on his end but on mine it does.
Called my phone using my wife's phone, Pixel as well using T-Mobile and hers rings.

I'm out of town until next week so I can't install the 7.1.2 beta yet. I have seen talk of VOLTE improvements with it, so maybe it will help this issue too.

Just missed 10 calls from my boss. He said there was no ringtone and it wouldn't go to voicemail.
I mentioned before that it did go to voicemail even after not sounding but now this is ridiculous.
Some people with T-Mobile have the issues and others don't. Might have to call T-Mobile.
Checked all the settings in that "special" menu and everything's provisioned.

I have this problem. Person calling me hears no ringing, just dead silence. Often they will hang up and call again because they think something's wrong (I mean there is...but so annoying lol). I haven't called T-Mobile yet. Never had this problem on my 6P. Only the Pixel.
Does anyone know if this has been fixed yet? I'm afraid to switch back to WiFi calling until it is, as I can't afford to be missing calls because people don't hear the ring on their end.
Have you guys filed a ticket with Google and T-mobile about this? I sent feedback through the Settings->Phone status way. It's definitely still happening on my Pixel XL with stock 7.1.1.

Any incoming wifi calls and the caller gets silence and never sent to VM. On my end everything seems fine, I hear it ring and once I answer the connection is great. My old Galaxy has wifi calling and worked with no problem.
I've done a factory reset and gone through about every setting three times over. I pretty much bought the phone specifically for wifi calling since I live in the sticks and now can't even turn it on without missing calls.

Others have said that the June security update fixed it. After flashing that, I turned on WiFi calling again and it works for me now on my Pixel XL. If you haven't installed it yet, you should anyway.

When I finally talk to the person that was trying to call me, they say that it would ring twice and then go to voicemail. My phone is still having this issue. LG had no clue what was going on with my phone.

Voice data is not sent over the LTE network but instead is sent over EDGE, HSUPA or HSDPA (gsm) networks. This is because LTE was designed to handle data only. Currently a few mobile operators are begging to launch voice over LTE capabilities (VoLTE). However ATT does not support VoLTE capabilities so whenever you place or receive a call your handset will switch to the gsm network to handle voice.After the call has ended your handset usually takes a few seconds to automatically switch back to LTE if available. During the time your phone is switching back networks your data will be inaccessible. If your phone does not switch back or your data never returns then you can toggle on/off airplane mode to reset it as you have mentioned doing. This should not be happening very often, unlike what you describe. What I would suggest is flashing HoNo's CWM official V20c ICS from att. This will update your phones baseband and firmware for your radios and I've also heard is more stable and has improved battery life. Hope I could help.

I had the same problems with the leak at home where I have a weak signal. Never had any problems with CM9 or GB. When I switched to the official rom all those problems went away. So I think it was just a baseband issue with the leak.

We ( my wife and I) got the same issue... With Bell.
So we sent both phone ( GB by the way non root ) to bell to get them repair ...
Sent back the phone... 1 h later ... got the same issue .. so they ( futuretel in Markham Ont Canada) dont find the issue, they just reflash the phone.
sent it and ... weeks later got it back ... lost it again ... but they change hardware and also reflash.
Now it's my turn ...
I'm still waiting for my phone because when i got it back, got issue ( probably firmware ) because I lost the speaker and speakerphone ... so if someone call me i was not able to ear them...
Sent back the phone again for repair and now i'm waiting.
Update my wife phone 2 day's ago with ICS from LG( bell ) and I dont think she got the issue.
If it's happening again, LG will have to step in because it's 2 repair for the same issue.
Since we are not alone in this situation we will be able to remove the hypothesis
of interference in our house!
And again ... when I was talking with someone from Bell support, I told them I would like to try custom Rom if the issue is still there...
The person agree with me... yes weard from someone from bell...
Other than that ... it would be good for people to "catlog" the drop signal / no voice service...

Just wanted to see if anyone else has been experiencing this or maybe knows a way to fix this. I have 2 issues with the phone calling on this phone. I had the 925T since launch and never had an issue with it. ever since i sent it in for repair, I've had a strange issue. Fist one is dialing out. When attemting to make a call, it takes anywhere from 3 seconds to 40 seconds before the call actually gets connected. this is highly annoying as i dial a number and it feels like forever before the call actually connects. my other issue is after the phon ehas been one for a few hours, I dont get any incoming calls. the phone will not show me any incoming calls at all so I don't even know when someone calls me. Ive tried everything i can. tried changing sim cards, updated the bootloader and modem, tried different roms, kernels, stock odin, everything. and its the same story no matter what I do. Anyone Have an idea of what it could be? It only works well after a fresh reboot. calls works without issues. hours later, problem comes back
I've had the same exact problem but I attributed it to using an AT&T Sim card on an unlocked T Mobile phone.
I've now rooted and installed Xtrostolite Rom with latest modem and bootloader. I've yet to have any issues. Good luck.

Yes. If i leave wifi off i never have the issue.
Still is happening. whether I have wifi on or off it always happens. It seem,s to be an issue related to VoLTE. When I turn LTE off, the issue dissapears. Updated baseband and bootloader to latest version and issue is still there. Have a custom rom and the issue is still there. go back to the tmobile rom and the issue is still there. thinkiing of going back to a tmobile firmware and turning off VoLTE in the firware then reflashing back to custom rom and seeing if that helps. if not, im selling the phone and getting the F version of the regular S6 and calling it a day. im done with carrier branded phones.
Interesting enough I haven't had this issue in the last 3 to 4 days. I wonder if it is AT&T related.

I've been able to switch between carriers on any phone that has the supported bands since the galaxy s2. The issue is with this phone. My mistake in buying it.

I have tried a few roms and a few kernels. I have tried differ apns but att Sim in this phone doesn't work like it should. I was going to get a TMOBILE note 5 to use on att but now I know it's not worth the risk.

I was having similar problems after the 5.1.1 update so after a few troubleshooting sessions with TMO, they sent me a new phone. 2 weeks now and no more problems. First phone that I have not rooted and flashed..... I was also told by a store rep that a lot of people were having issues since TMO is upgrading towers for 12 band.

So yeah same problem taking forever to connect a call and no receiving calls mos of the time. No ring no notification of missing call. I been doing some research and find a temporary fix. Try going to settings -mobile networks and switch from lte/wcdma/gsm to wcdma/gsm or gsm only. But before do a test. Turn off data and try to make a call see how fast it connects then have someone to call your phone. If it works then this trick will work for you. Of course you gotta sacrifices lte speed . Basically having 4g only but at least will fix your calls. These problems seem to ve related to volte i been trying to disable it but there is no such option under phone app setting. Didn't work for me. I turn off data and I still have to wait until the call goes through
I picked up this phone a few days ago and I just noticed that VOLTE wasn't working like it should. The settings menu shows that I have the option on, but everytime I make a call or receive a call it instantly switches from 4g to 1x, and therefore I don't have simultaneous voice and data. Anyone have this issue too?
I checked my Verizon account to see if that feature is enabled for my line. Advanced calling shows that VOLTE is on for calls and video chat. Turning it on and off doesn't change anything, turning wifi calling on and off doesn't affect it. I've tried rebooting, and no luck. Seems like a software issue?

Perhaps the person on the other end needs it as well? I've found calls between my girlfriend and I would switch from HD to non-HD and it seemed like it was due to service on her end. Just a thought. Its actually only happened a couple of times to me.

No luck with that one either. I've tried calling other lines on my plans and I got the same results. My S5 did a pretty good job maintaining HD Voice every time I made a call to those lines where LTE coverage was available.
I called CS and they didn't say it was a common problem, but they put in a report pretty immediately for me and should have someone contacting me the next 24-48 hours.
Just a quick update. I didn't do anything, I used my phone as is and it just started switching to HD voice and maintaining LTE while calling. So either they did something on their side, or the phone is just a little buggy.
I have never had that VoLTE icon pop up on my phone but if I look in my recent calls list I do see a Wifi icon on some of the calls.. I assume this is VoLTE??

That's WiFi calling.
I have used WiFi calling and it seems to work alright. Is this the same as VoLTE? If it is not how do you enable VoLTE?
I just found it in settings, it is enabled however I have never seen any kind of an icon that it is working. How do I know if it is or isnt?
Where is the setting for VoLTE in Settings? I am not seeing it anywhere.
EDIT: A google search showed me it should be in call settings, but it is not there. Any help much appreciated.

When you are on a phone call, are users on the other side reporting that your audio on the Pixel is bad or breaking up? I thought it was because of WiFi calling at first, but it appears to be present with both cellular and wifi-calling. In general most of my phone calls are having these issues.
I use the phone for actual phone calls a lot and this had been very frustrating for me.
Seeing if anyone else is experiencing this or if you have a fix.

No issues yet, in USA and on Project Fi cellular service.
But I've only had like two calls so far.
Both at home, so may have been on WiFi calling or whatever, I dunno.
I confirmed with a couple of friends that have the 3 XL. They have reported some incidents, but they also don't use calls as much as I do. I disabled wifi calling and that seem to help.
I had this issue too. I ended up sending it back for an RMA. No issues with the new device.
This has been happening to me on my 3xl. Never had any issues with previous pixels. Its worse when on speakerphone, my buddy said I sounded like I was in a fishbowl. Last night I was on a call sitting in the same place with nearly full bars and the person on the other end said I kept going in and out of the call. Luckily I hate using my phone for calls so this wont happen much.
Try turning off HD calling, some carriers seem to not have enough bandwidth to support it in certain places.

It depends on the carrier, some call HD, some call it Voice on LTE, some say VOLTE, others say Voice over Data.
Yup. Same issue. Rebooting seemed to help, but since turning off HD (LTE enhanced calling), no issues.
I recently got a 3XL and have service thru Google Fi. Whenever a call is placed or received on Wifi, the other person can't hear me. Phone is rooted but on stock 9.0. Anybody know how to fix this?
Same issue on Sprint the volte connection is terrible. I've heard if u turn off volte it works flawlessly but I haven't tested it. I want data while in calls too much.
