Nougat Dialer/Contacts - Moto Z Themes, Apps, and Mods

There are a lot of apks and zips which aren't working on Moto Z. This one IS working.
Just flash it with TWRP and set as default phone app.
Update: 10 December 2016
- Update Google Contacts (1.6.15) for 6.x/7.x ROMs
- Update Google Dialer (7.0.140755802) for 7.1
Download Links:
For Marshmallow 6.0/ Nougat 7.0
For Nougat 7.1

Just tried... If you simply extract the two apk from the zip you can install them with no issues at all... (I prefer it from flashing...)
The Contact apk is the same as you can find on Play Store, while the Telephone apk is a (lot) newer version than that available on Play Store... Thanx a lot! :highfive:
EDIT: wrong! No problem with contacts, it can be downloaded and installed from Play Store too... BUT Telephone refused to install on Z while installed fine on another MM I use... I'll investigate more on this issue...

Ok, it's possible to install single apks BUT it's needed to install jar & permissions file (& reboot before...) so, for newbies is probably better to simple flash the zip (that is ok, I've cheched...)
Main difference is that flashing after the apps can't simply be uninstalled but become part of the system since they are put in priv-apps... (ok, they can be freezer or removed by a root file manager anyway...)
I'm using it anyway... small differencies for contacts, a lot more (and interesting...!) for dialer...

Yep the dialer refused to install Everytime and the new dialer is dope.
And the zip works fine to avoid all the hustle for newbies like me
Thanks for spending your time on it :fingers-crossed:

There's a modded apk here, somewhere, but the problem becomes the caller id functions don't work as it needs to be signed by Google to use the correct APIs. So unless Google messes up like they did with 2.05_rc4 we'll never have an "simple apk" version.

I saw. Already installed as I said... They need the .jar and .xml of permissions ...
Anyway, the dialer is a *major* upgrade, not only a "cosmetic" one... It is a newer version than the one released with Aosp Nougat 7.1 and beneath there are some newer versions too, it is the newer one working on MM too (the others need at least v. 7.0 to work...)

Nope, it doesn't work with stock android nougat on my moto z xt1650-03, retailmx. After the restart the phone wasn't able to open, not a single app was able to recover my phone app; so I applied my TWRP backup and tried again, same result. So I decided to make it work because I didn't want to delete everything again so, this is what I did:
Make sure to flash the zip, and if you can use your phone anymore, don't panic like me...
1. Erase the app via Titanium Backup pro
2. Restart the phone
3. Go to the file explorer, find the zip of the nougatdialer and extract the dialer apk
4. install it like a normal app and voila!
5. grant permissions if needed.

I think the normal apk should work on nougat.
If not here's the nougat zip:

[Feature] Blacklist Missing from OP3

Hi guys,
As my title means, I really miss a blacklist feature in the phone system app. Coming from Samsung world, I've always been able to block these daily cold callings.
So, my question is straightforward: is this feature hidden somewhere or do I need a mod (Xposed, maybe?)? I'm quite reluctant to install any third app
Any help here, please?
Create a whatever contact and save all those numbers under that contact. Then click the "all calls to voicemail" option and that way you will never be bothered by those calls again. Samsung had it implemented better though, I know what you mean.

Download and install the Google Dialer apk. It's pretty much identical to the stock dialer only it lets you create a blacklist and block numbers. Once it's installed you can then set it as your default dialling app and disable the stock one (annoyingly, they both have the same name: Phone).
This is what I use, it doesn't require root or Xposed and works a treat on my OnePlus 3.
But you could also try out Truecaller, a dialling app with caller ID that also lets you do the same thing.

Agreed, that's how I got around this missing feature (also built a blacklist profile in tasker that reads from (and writes to if I tell it to) a txt file when I receive a call from a number not in my contacts) .
When I tried last week, only specific versions worked (newer and newest ones did not).
"com.google.android.dialer_2.5.11_rc8-20511_minAPI23(nodpi)" was the newest one that worked for me.
If anybody got a newer version to work, please enlighten me/us. [emoji6]

If you can flash a zip, you can install the latest version. I've just posted instructions here. Essentially you just have to install the requisite dialer framework to /system beforehand. Recent versions of the dialer app require it.

Get Google Assistant

This is a simple tweak to get google assistant working on your device.
Note: This tweak only works with devices running android 7.0 and above. So, if you flash on a lower version and screw your device, I'm not responsible. Do it at your own risk!!!
So all you have to do is add a piece of code to your build.prop
Here's the code:
Code:
ro.product.model=Pixel XL
ro.opa.eligible_device=true
Reboot your device and we're done. Google Assistant is ready to serve you.
Note:You must have google app installed on your device and move it to /system/app
Screenshots:
Nougat is in early stage so I know most of Redmi 1s users still using marshmallow, so I share to you how to get Google Assistant in Lollipop and Marshmallow.
You need Xposed Framework and Assistant Enabler module. Just enable the module and you are good to go.

What I did was :
Install Pixel Launcher, move it to system.
Install Google App, move it to system
Update Build.prop
(I used Kernel Adiutor to update it, Open KA, goto Buil prop Editor, click on that small (+) symbol, select "Add", in "Key" add the name like "ro.xxx.xxx" and in value "Enable" and enter both the attributes. Done there.)
Restart

You can uninstall (delete) useless system apps from /System/App and /System/Priv-App since the memory allocated to the system is really small in your case mostly, changing which is really a tedious work to do.
You can do:
Install Google Keyboard and delete default Keyboard (folder named as LatinMe)
Remove FM Radio
Remove "AntHAL" if you don't use fitness devices
Remove CM File Manager, instead you can use ES File Explorer Pro
Install Chrome and remove default Browser.

I think no one else is facing this installing issue except you. You might have modded version of phone app installed in your phone thats why you cant install official version. Uninstall updates of phone app from application manager then try to install official apk

Man could you please upload the file somewhere in cloud. I tried this version from apkmirror "Version: 17.0.184919600 (2334720)" but failed.

Themes / Apps / Mods [MAGISK] Debloater for OOS 11

Debloats unnecessary services and apps on your OnePlus devices to give moar free ram and improve battery.
Works both on stable and beta and any device running oos11
Use it. If it affects your daily usage, don't.
New apps and services have been added in this version.
No seperate versions. Since most of the 9 and 9 pro series guys are rooted, they be using the oxygen updater app. The default updater keeps running in bg and hence, has been removed.
IN CASE U WANT TO UPGRADE, DISABLE MODULE, REBOOT, DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL UPDATE.
If someone wants services like OnePlus account or red cable club, go to apk mirror and install it from there.
Do not forget to flash Overlay mount fix from magisk repository else, u might end soft-rebooting your device.
If you like what I do, consider buying me a coffee

Moar updates HERE
If uh want live wallpapers to be working again after installing the module, install the apk given below.
Updated to V7. Vpn issues fixed now
Is there an app to use with module or is done automatically or done through terminal.

Nothing needed. Apps have been debloated. To check, check running services under developer option before and after flashing

Can you make a version that doesn't remove the Sim Tool Kit?
Edit: Edited it myself.
Thank you for this module.

Edit the install.sh, and zip it with 7zip.
Probably a silly question -- but does this debloater remove apps that are feeding Telemetry constantly to One plus? That probably saves battery.

Didn't work with 7zip, but this worked:

Gotta have Java installed.
great work, thanks for your doing.
I only want to delete the gmail app.
How would i go about doing that?
And not disabling or pm uninstall, actual delete. I tried the adb way of pm uninstall, but that will not delete the file.
I want to install it from play store to test something.
It is located in /product/app/Gmail2/
But I'm afraid if I delete this, i will end up in bootloop up something.
@RedSkulxHYDRA
So I'm having an issue now on that my hotspot isn't working after using it. I'm on Verizon and when I called they said it wasn't an issue on their end.
Basically devices will connect to the phone but are unable to access the internet.
I tested it after disabling the module and reflashing the stock img and it was working but it stops after I install the module. Any idea what service to exclude or what to do?
EDIT:
Confirmed its module related since when I turn off the module it works fine.

That's very interesting. Which debloat version are you on? The one in OP is v7 but I'm on v8 from his Telegram.
It works when the module is off but once I turn it on it stops which makes me think it's module related rather than phone related.

Haven't updated to v8 yet (I'm on v7). That might be the problem then.

You were right. It works fine on v7. V8 is the problem.
@RedSkulxHYDRA figured you should probably know this
might this work on Android 12??
How can I get a listing of what it debloats so as to do it manually perhaps using Titanium Backup?
