Powerbank charge current - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

I have an anker 20000mah powerbank. Been charging my oneplus 3 with original cable via the poweriq port, but average charging current is about 1 to 1.2 Ampere normally. Anyone managed to get higher like 1.5A.?

What charger for the Galaxy Tab S

Hey guys !
I just bought an Galaxy Tab S (8.4) from eBay but it came without any charger/cable.
As it is a Micro USB port, there's no real problem, I have literally tons of usb chargers available.
The problem is that most the chargers/cable I used only charged the battery at a 0.3A rate (measured with an USB voltmeter + battery app).
I know that the original charger was 5.3v 2A. I tried with some powerful 5.0v charger (3.0A/Quickcharger 3.0 compatible from Anker) but no luck so far...
Is there a specific charger/specs know to work well with this pad ?
I'm using this aukey 3.0 compatible wall charger and so far it's charging as expected
How fast does it charge ? I only get 0.3A with this charger, which charges really slow...
0.3A is 300ma i am surprised the battery charges at all at that low rate, My 10.5" draws 1700ma from my third-party chargers according to my usb monitor, I have managed to charge it as low as 1000ma from my notebooks usb port, but you need a charge only cable as a data cable will not charge at all.

Is Qualcomm quick charge 2.0 supported on the OnePlus 3?

Just a simple question... Is Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 supported on the OnePlus 3?
I know there is Dash Charge (which is great), but I have a powerbank which supports Quick Charge 2.0...
I want to know if it wil charge faster than a regular 5V/1A USB port.

Same problem here, would like to know this too. Can anyone with a OP3 try and let us know the different charging times with a normal charger, QC QC2.0 and Dash charger?

I don't have a Quick Charge charger, but with another charger the OP3 pulls around 1.5 A @ 5V = 7.5 W from it. This is the USB compliant amount i think.
I don't think that the OP3 supports any version of Quick Charge... But with a capable charger (non-Dash) it's pretty quick, too! In my car it gains fairly quickly, even though i'm navigation with google maps and i don't have a Dash-Charge car charger! With previous phones (LG G3 for example) the phone even LOST battery capacity while being plugged in!

Just did the test by myself with the 'Ampere' app.
Battery was at 55%.
Dash Charge: 3330 mA
Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 Charger: 1420 mA
PC USB Port: 380 mA
My Nexus 6 charges at 2050 mA when connected to the Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 Charger.
Is it in some way possible to 'tweak' the OP3 so it can take 2000 mA when connected to a QC 2.0 charger?
I'm using ElementalX kernel btw.
OP3 is not quickcharge compatible so when connected to a quickcharge charger, the charger is in normal mode at 5V with a maximum of intensity that depend on the charger.
BUT the OP3 have only 3 charging step, one at 5V 0.5A, one at 5V 1.5A and then 5V 3.5A only if it's connected to a dash charger with a dash cable (or a oppo vooc with an adapter).
So for example, you connect to a 5V 1A charger, it will charge at 0.5V, like on a computer. But if it can draw 1.5A, it will do it but not above that unless a dash charger.
I tried many charger and it will not charge at another intensity.

According to ampere only the stock Lg cable will allow 3amps during charging. I have bought the 3ft powerline cable from Anker and it only gets 1.5 amps. Even dropped the money and bought Google's dual port USB c charger with cable, and still only 1.5 amps unless I use the stock cable. What's your experience? I'm just trying to get the fastest charge.

It depends on the battery percent you have. The lower, the more it'll draw. 0-40% will have the fast charging so the highest amps. That's the nature of fast charging.

Charging Capacity

How many amperes does the z2 support max at 5v? Since it has quick charge 2.0 I was supposing up to 3 Amps but even if I connect it to a 3Amp USB output, with the Ampere app, I can see that it takes 1.5A max
I tested with Quick Charge 3.0, It is taking 2.3A @ 5.3v
with the screen ON the maximum charge is 1.6A. you need to use an app that logs the charging history when the screen is off or use something like a USB tester to measure that.
here with the original charger I get 2.6A (5.3v) with the screen OFF.

What power bank are you using for fast charging on your Tab S4? QC 2.0 not working

I have two fast charge power banks, one Anker PowerCore+ QC 2.0 and an iWalk Secretary. Neither will fast charge the Tab S4. Nor will plugging in the Tab S4 into the 3.0 and 2.0 quick charge ports on my Anker and Aukey multi port charging stations. The maximum charge (using AccuBattery app) I'm getting on these fast chargers is 500 ma and pretty up and down not really consistent. When I connect to a standard port it goes up to 900 ma without any dips. When I connect my Note 9 to the same fast chargers I'm getting 1300 ma.
Is this a Snapdragon issue?
Are you getting 800+ ma charging consistently with your power bank? If so which one are you using?

i never ever charge via fast charge as it destroy the battery in the long run, but i own an Belkin 15000 milliamp power bank.. i have just switched on fast charge for you I’m getting 1375ma charge that’s what AccuBattery is saying I’m averaging that of my power bank..
I hope that answers your question? pp.’s never i have heard of iwalk bit of advice avoid unknown brands! Anker is good but I don’t know about iwalk, get the Belkin one that I own.. I have charged my Note 9 twice in the last few weeks once full and once around 70% and I have charged my Tab S 8.4 LTE fully once and I still got 3 led lights left on the Belkin power bank..
Mate this Belkin power bank is a beast!
I will have to install accubattery but I have a Anker PowerCore 20000 with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and it works pretty well for what I need. but looking to upgrade to more power but smaller in size.

These tabs support QC2.0 which allows for a theoretical 5V/2A or 9V/2A. In practice I've never seen it above 9v/1.7A. Does your accubattery app actually indicate the negotiated voltage? Or just the amperage?
The only way I've found to reliably check chargers, cables or devices is with a hardware ammeter like this:
