how did you flash it and what was your previous setup? you need to tell people what exactly you have done, otherwise there's literally no way anyone can help you.

ok. a simple search in the thread showed that several people were having issues with the sim, and no solution has been posted. i suggest you try the following:
- put your sim in the other slot
- wipe dalvik and cache
- go back to stock completely and flash the beta 7 the official way (i know you'll loose the data but clean flashes are always better)

you need to root the phone install Super SU (SR5) as given in the instructions above.

CAUTION!! : During this Process, Your Phone gets Factory Reset and all internal memory gets wiped!! Make a Backup of all internal data as well as a nandroid to extrnal sd!!
***//For Users coming from MIUI rom and want to have MIUI on one of the Systems continue from step 1-2 and read NOTE and in step 3 tick the checkbox promting special!
STEP1:
Flash HM 1S-Sysrec.zip...[after flashing, recovery gets rebooted].......In this Process Phones Intrernal Memory gets formatted and current ROM gets Factory Reset!
STEP2:
Flash HM 1S-System-Menu1.3-test.zip...Select English->Press Next->Accept and Press Next->Enter the function->Install and uninstall->Install the dual system.....This installs Dual-System and gets rebooted to recovery, meaning dual system got installed!!
**NOTE 1 : If you wish to install mokee+MIUI which was provided #3 in download section.....You can flash that mokee+MIUI.zip here, without proceeding further...and reboot!!
**NOTE 2 : Now we have two System partitions installed and we are on system1, which already have the previous Rom residual and System2 is Void!!
**NOTE 3 : If you want to have a fresh Installation of AOSP Rom on System1, you can directly flash a AOSP rom of your choice! or continue with previous rom!
STEP3:
Now that we have a Rom in System1 [MIUI or a AOSP]....so we need to install system switching software in it....
Flash HM 1S-System-Menu1.3-test.zip, Follow the prompts to enter the main menu -> enter the function -> Install switching software -> System I-> Next [check special for MIUI users]...and reboot system!!
STEP4:
After the completion of boot process you will see a system changing app....open the app ->give root permissions and the phone gets rebooted and gets stuck at mi logo indicating we are in System2....Now Enter Reovery (Powr+VolUp same time)
STEP5:
Flash a ROM of your choice...."and dont reboot!"....after flashing rom again flash HM 1S-System-Menu1.3-test.zip, Follow the prompts to enter the main menu -> enter the function -> Install switching software -> System 2-> Next....now reboot !!!.. which will take you to ROM installed in System 2 ....
STEP6:
After the completion of boot process, now that you are in System2, will see a system changing app as well ....open the app ->give root permissions and you will be able to switch to the other system/ROM........
////**Manual System switching process: **///
Flash HM 1S-System-Menu1.3-test.zip Follow the prompts to enter the main menu -> enter the function ->System Switching -> and select a System of your choice and proceed and Finally reboot !!!
***///Wanna change rom or try a new ROM keeping the other still///***
Stay on the System on which you want to try a new ROM....Reboot to recovery...
Flash HM 1S-System-Menu-Test1.3.zip and Follow the prompts to enter the main menu -> enter the function ->clear data->
Continuing which will wipes and factory Resets the current Rom....After proceeding further enter RECOVERY....
and Flash the ROM u wanna Try...and repeat #STEP5 and install switching software on new system!!(Hope U Understand)!!!
For reverting back...we need to flash Sysrec.zip once again and flash Sysmenu.zip and follow uninstall procedure...then everything will be normal...
...for further questions comment below...............Give :good: if useful!!!....
Happy Flashing!!!

I don't think restoring nandroid data will work... Because....as u can see there are two two folders inside root/data/.......by restoring data from recovery will first wipes current root/data content and writes content from backup....so no dual-system!!! Hope you understand....tell me whether u have installed dual system? If so once see inside root/data /....u will get it!

Note 1: Two Roms will be installed with two separate system partitions....all u can do things like installing custom add-ons or patches either being on system1 or system 2..use switching software to switch between system partition 1or 2...
Note 2: U can switch to system of ur choice from recovery...by flashing HM1s-system-menu.zip...there u will c an option to switch system...hope u understand if u had read the procedure with a bit of pathence!

figured it out myself, for everybody else
won't format external sd card
and apps will be installed separately
Maybe some mistakes in step 2. The dev recommended unmount system, data and cache before installed Dual-System (doesn't matter really). Some user may need install it twice to success for unknown factors. And as I know on earlier versions, after you installed Dual-System, both partitions are empty. You need to flash a rom to system 1. But I haven't try v1.3 yet so I don't know if anything changed.
The tutorial seems so long but it's very reasonable to proceed.
1. (unnecessary for the 1st time) recover your phone's status - flash sysrec.zip
2. install the dual-boot system - flash into aroma and choose the option
3. flash a rom to current (1st) system - flash it in recovery
4. (optional but recommended) install a switcher in the rom - install it in the aroma, caution the options, don't choose the wrong system
5. switch to system2 - switch directly in the aroma, or [ boot your phone to use the switcher app (after that plz press vol+ to enter recovery because system2 is empty now)]
6. flash another rom to current (2nd) system - just flash it in recovery, it will be in system2
7. (optional but recommended) install a switcher in the rom - install it in the aroma, caution the options, don't choose the wrong system
now you have dual system installed.
For changing between systems, use the switcher (if installed) or change in the aroma installer.
For replacing a rom, switch to the rom you unwanted, and reboot to recovery and flash the new one.
For clear data, don't use recovery,it will clear both. Use the aroma (change to the system you want to clear data and choose clear current).
For miui user, special for miui is actually for miui 6 because /system/app can't get root permission in miui 6.
For uninstall, do it in aroma and then flash sysrec.zip

Install Guide WORKS 100%
Hello everybody I had some problems with the installation and I also read through the whole pages. Then I found the solution
An installation guide for anyone who lands in the TWRP Bootloop after installation.
Also for those who can not do it!
Very simple
step by step.
-First backup all ur Date to PC (picture etc.) THIS IS A CLEAN INSTALL!!!
- Download theOne5OS.2.1-5.0.3.Aroma.zip or theOne5OS.1.6-4.7.6.Aroma.zip, witch Version u want! (do download to ur PC!) Go to Page 1
- Download no_verity_op5_v2.zip (do download to ur PC!)
- Download newst Magisk v16.0 (do download to ur PC!)
- Flash TWRP > i use the "TWRP Blu_Spark", so had no problems
- Go into Recovery > Wipe > Format Data, type: yes > go back "Press Home" > go into Rebot> select Recovery.
- after rebot into Recovery Go into Wipe > Advanced Wipe > Select Dialvik/ART Cache, Cache, System, Data and Swipe to Wipe. (Do not select Internal Storage!!!)
- After Wipe go back to Home(Press Home button!)
- Connect ur Phone to ur PC.
- put ur Downloaded Data > theOne5OS zip, no_verity zip and Magisk zip into ur Phone
- back to TWRP >go to Install and select First (now Step by step!!!!!!!!!!)
1. theOne5OS zip > Go to Install SWIPE > select Install theOne5OS -next > Select what u want Custom boot and Slashscreen -next
2. select ur Debloater apps (select standard System apps which you do not want to have) -next
3. select if u want instal Substratum, xposed etc. -next
4. at Su or Magisk select > select Install no SU and go -next
5. do not select! Premissive Magisk -next
6. do not select! A.R.I.S.E. -next
7. Now Install Rom, after end select back to TWRP and press END.
8. Back to TWRP press Home button to go to Home
9. Go into install, select no_verity zip and install it! After install Press again Home
10. Go into Install, select Magisk zip and install it! After install if u want install ARISE sound modul check step 11, if not skip and do restart ur Phone and have fun )
11. After install Magisk go Home again
12. Go into Install, select theOne5OS zip Again! NOW!!!
13. Skip Rom Install deselect it next > again Select what u want Custom boot and Slashscreen next> at Debloater Skip, only next Do not select now anythink > Substratum Menu Skip to Do not select anythink > at Magisk select No install SU next > now select Install Permissive Magisk Modul and next > now select ARISE next > now install it > after install only restart Phone and have Fun
so now you cant go into bootloop!
i know its a very long guide and its rly step by step but i think here a many user who want USE the Rom and have many problems to understand!

Possible Bug:
-Magisk Modules may not install if data is wiped, stating Magisk is not installed please install Magisk (version number+)
fix - Boot into System and Once set up boot back into TWRP and reinstall the magisk modules you want and uncheck all other options like theOne5OS and Magisk
-Not a bug, But if you install the OS without a root you may be encrypted (if decrypted) and may reinstall Stock Recovery.

If you device can't reboot, you can flash eu or global rom, format again and reboot system.

Hu? never wrote it doesn't reboot etc. - It reboots, everything seems to be OK - I "just" can't login after restore a backup....
so, again: does "format internal memory" reset my phone, delete setting or personal files? If so, how does this solve the problem? After a fresh EU ROM install, everything works fine like a new install does.

Flash this zip in TWRP and your login password would be deleted, which by the way gets jumbled up after a restore.

From Pixel Experience Pie CAF Edition back to MIUI 10

Hi guys,
I'm about to sell my Mi 6 to upgrade to the K20 Pro and I would like to reinstall the latest MIUI 10 before giving my mobile away.
So as you read on the title I have the latest PE Pie CAF edition and I would like to be sure of all the steps to be done to install MIUI 10 without hassles. I have the latest TWRP 3.3.1-2
I have a Mac so the fastboot option is not my favourite one and I would prefer to use TWRP. I googled a bit and saw some youtubers reverting back to MIUI by entering TWRP and wiping
Dalvik / ART cache
Cache
System
Vendor
Data
Then install MIUI 10 ROM
wipe cache/dalvik
And then reboot system even if it says "No OS installed"
Some people installed lazy flash zip file as well. Some others didn't wipe Vendor and some wiped Internal Storage as well and installed the ROM via OTG. I couldn't find any guide/tutorial with a Mi6 and that's why I'm posting here.
What would you suggest? Do I need the lazy flash zip as well? Do I need to wipe Vendor partition and Internal Storage as well?
Thank you in advance for any experienced advice.

If you're on a mac, you can:
- download fastboot rom
- extract it
- run flash_all.sh (not really sure of the name right now but it's one of them ) file in the terminal
- done
Unfortunately Mi Flash doesn't work on a Mac ...
Thanks anyway

Installing Magisk on Redmi Note 8T (Willow) with Lineage OS and recovery

I am trying to get Magisk to work on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T with Lineage OS, but the step where I am patching the boot.img is failing. I am using LOS recovery, and I followed the instructions provided by topjohnwu [1]: because the 8T doesn't appear to have ramdisk (I don't know what that means btw), I need to patch an image (my recovery image?) with the magisk app - this is what I did:
1. Install Magisk App and check status: "Ramdisk: No"
2. Download Lineage recovery image [2] and patch in Magisk
3. Install patched recovery image using fastbook [3]
4. Wipe device and Install LOS + GApps
5. Reboot to system => still says "Ramdisk: No"
What am I doing wrong? How did everyone else root their Note 8T?

install OrangeFox recovery
rename Magisk22.APK to Magisk22.ZIP
install it like any zip in recovery
reboot
(i suggest you do a clean flash to avoid problems)
(yess, RN8 have ramdisk but that's not required for root to work)
After clean flashing the official LOS 17.1, I re-tried to install Magisk giving it every request permission and following steps detailed above by loopypalm but (as before) I'm still seeing "Requires Additional Setup" followed by a "Setup failed" message...
I unlocked the phone recently, set up the latest OrangeFox recovery and flashed new RN8 global firmware v12.0.4.0, Lineage v17.1 nightly 20210405 and pico OpenGapps 20210406. The phone isn't even encrypted (i.e., I've set no fingerprint, pin or pattern).
I tried removing Magisk v22 with the official uninstaller and downgrading to v21.4 with the same result. Then I used the Manager facilities to upgrade both Manager and the underlying Magisk, but still no dice.
I'm scratching my head here about what else to try. Something I noticed that may or may not be related is, while it was working alright before I started setting up Magisk, advanced reboot became really sluggish and failed to reboot to recovery after this (only buttons work).
I'll keep searching and will maybe try a different ROM but this is a real bummer.

after installing LOS, GApps and Magisk in OrangeFox, and then booting to system, the phone is stuck at the sim PIN entry - I can enter it, but it doesn't advance afterwards. this is what I did:
1. Install TWRP
2. Use TWRP to install OF
3. in OF, wipe everything except usbstorage and sdcard
4. create installation queue with latest LOS, GApps, and Magisk, and install
5. boot to system => stuck at sim PIN entry
any suggestions?
i have the same with the latest LOS 17.1 tried also 21.4 both not working, I flashed again without Magisk so far

i think you should try RRos (it's based on LOS and updated)
i said kernel, so if you have one in mind, that's the step (correct order) you flash it in
(people use "sixteen" for battery,or default "quicksilver" ,or ryzen or ...)
DFE is "Disables dm-verity, forced encryption"

so in the end this worked, LOS + root, and no complaints so far.
other users were also successful with not sticking to the official magisk installation instruction, but just flashing the zip in recovery: https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/issues/3239#issuecomment-816164610

Hi loopypalm, only for curiosity: is there a reason why to wipe /data "again" in step 6 after having formatted /data already in step 4? And furthermore why to format /data for a second time in step 10? What happens to /data after the first formatting that makes these steps recommendable? Thx if you find a minute to explain...
HI , this is what devs been recommending since the beginning (on ginkgo)

me personally i don't think formatting data a 2nd time is necessary
but as for what i think could be the reason is after formatting data you will get a "raw" file system , so the OS will choose the situable file system for it "EXT2" or "EXT4" or ...
that's why sometimes the system wont boot even if you flash DFE
(which (i think) is the case on all ports like ONEUI or OOS ...)

loopypalm,
- Orange Fox, should "Allow modifications" be enabled OR "keep read-only"?
- will latest A11 (anrdoid 11) stable FW (Firmware) also be ok, or is this guide specifically for A10?
Other notes of mine:
- OrangeFox requires device to be unlocked with MiFlash unlocking software first. (It's a type A device it seems, NOT a/b)
