Help needed - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I want to go back to 4.4 kitkat to do some testing. Currently on a sense based Mm rom. Do i have to reflash the kitkat firmware to go back to kitkat or i can just flash a stock kitkat rom?
Device info: HTC One M8 Sprint
S-OFF
P/s: Even better if the stock ROM is debloated

I believe the KK rom will misbehave on MM firmware
It's better to flash the full RUU to switch between KK and MM

About Flash Rom

If my phone is brought from TW and with TW Official ROM, can i flash HK Official ROM?
If can't flash directly, is there anyway that i can flash HK Official ROM?
Thanks very much!
As long as you've got an unlocked bootloader and a custom recovery, you can flash any darn thing you want

no, u cannot. official ruus can only be flashed based on ur region. so u have to wait for ur taiwan ruus.
however, roms in our development section are not OFFICIAL roms but can be flashed on all quad core htc one x devices.

[Q] FW 2.12 issues??

So the new ARHD 9.1 requires the 4.4.3 firmware (2.12.401.3). Has anyone with T-mobile m8 have any issues flashing this firmware? I ask because the last time i flashed a fw it bricked my phone doing the same methods i've always done on previous phones.
You have 4.4.3 on your T-Mobile M8? I only have 4.4.2

No, I was asking if anybody with a T-Mobile m8 has flashed the 2.X firmware since its required to run any Rom based off the leaked 4.4.3 build

I would advise against it. I ran ARHD up to version 8.1 on the 1.57 T-Mobile firmware just fine. But I'm not going to flash FW designed for different hardware just to run a leaked and most likely incomplete version of android 4.4.3.
I'd advise to wait for T-Mobile to release their official 4.4.4 update and flash that firmware. Then you should have no issue running the most up to date version of ARHD. Until then just stick to 8.1.

I'd advise against it. Just wait until T-Mo releases their firmware along with 4.4.4.

[Q] Lolipop/Knox bootloader?

If I upgrade to Lolipop, will my knox bootloader still allow flashing back to Kitkat? Or rather, is it the same bootloader?

Pretty sure you can go back to kit kat as I don't think custom roms change the boot loader just stock firmware does. Only thing is if your knox hasn't tripped it will if you flash a custom kernel and lollipop.

In this case though, I would be upgrading from stock Kitkat to an official lolipop release. After the issues with Kitkat to Jelly Bean I am concerned I'll be able to downgrade back to kitkat.

It's official from CM team not Samsung. So still a custom rom. Official tag means nothing.

I'm not sure about miscommunication, there is no CM here. I flash back to the stock rom my phone came with then accept the Lolipop update? Or is there no Lolipop for S4 Mini right now?

No lollipop update from Samsung ever to come for s4 mini. Just custom roms.
Okay, well that explains that, lol.
I really liked the sunburst click for the lockscreen unlock, but I didn't think it was possible with the Theme-manager dictated CM. Was hoping Samsung had a way to keep it.
