How do you tell if your bootloader is unlocked?

I have an R800i that is factory sim unlocked. It is rooted, using the zergrush exploit, but I havn't installed any recovery or tried to boot into recovery. Does this mean that the bootloader is unlocked?
Can I install a recovery using the auto installer method? (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1437840) Will this stop my phone from booting?, as I have heard that the recovery is installed on the kernal or something, and you need to flash a kernal to access recovery and boot up

If you have not attempted to unlock your bootloader, it is not unlocked.
But since you have a factory unlocked R800i, you can unlock your bootloader from here.
If your bootloader if unlocked you can flash custom kernels, and custom recoveries.
However, ClockworkMod Recovery is accessible from the auto-installer, and does not require an unlocked bootloader/custom kernel.
So if I use the auto installer, the stock rom will still boot. If I flash a rom from that recovery, will the recovery still be there afterward seeing as it is on the system part of the stock rom. Will a custom rom include the recovery seeing as it includes the kernal?

.139 recovery version?

I'm trying to get ASUS replacement for my device because of the touchscreen. I flashed .139 stock ROM but the recovery version stays on .90. So I flashed .90 stock ROM and tried to update it to .139 but no update is available for me. I then flashed .97 ota zip with adb sideload. The recovery is still version .90. Can anyone with .139 full stock firmware verify your recovery version? Just let me know your recovery version if you have .139 stock ROM installed.
My recovery actually is TWRP, but when I was on stock .139, I'm pretty sure the recovery was .139 too.
Go to the pre-rooted roms section in android developement, you can download the recovery, boot and droidboot images alonside the pre-rooted 139 rom.
You can flash these separately through fastboot, no rooted rom needed to be downloaded/flashed...
Thanks again to Shakalaka...

OOS 4.0.3 and TWRP 3.0.4-1

I am currently on OOS 4.0.2 with unlocked bootloader but stock recovery. Will taking the 4.0.3 update do anything adverse with having unlocked bootloader or should I flash TWRP 3.0.4-1 and then flash full 4.0.3 ROM?
What are thoughts on this?

you can take OTA if have stock recovery
whit TWRP dont take OTA or will brick phone
You can wait for OTA, unlocked bootloader has nothing to do with it. If you don't intend to flash root or anything no need to have twrp.
If you install it though, don't flash partial OTA files but full rom zips only.
If you wanna flash ota use stock recovery but if you have full zip file of 4.0.3 go for twrp and flash it

Stock Recovery Image HTC M9 (3.35.401.12)

I just bought this phone and it has TWRP recovery installed and running stock 3.35.401.12
Whenever i try to install the available OTA update it just boots into TWRP and nothing happens. I want the stock recovery image so that i could flash it in TWRP (or any other way) so that i would be able to install the OTA.
Thanks a lot.
