[ROM] US Unlocked Full Stock deodexed - HTC 10 ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other Developm

I just want to share this with the comunity since there is no US Unlocked stock deodexed ROM TWRP flashable available here this is my first rom release ever i have tested and it works but need to follow instructions to make it boot.
1. Nougat firmware is req.
2. for now the debug version of TWRP 3.0.2-7 for Nougat Firmwarein download tab (till official release is available)
3. need to flash either Magisk root by topjohnwu or SuperSu by chainfire (2 method available) 2nd method is recomended it is just a flashable zip in TWRP
I have no plans to add custom stuff to this ROM so please don't ask for it please feel free to use this ROM as a base for your own (remember to give proper credit)
i will try to provide a better solution to make the ROM boot without the need to flash any other file for root but when i have time for it....
Download Uploading.............
this ROM is provided by @jeanrivera
special thanks to:
@ivicask for providing me deodexed files
@baadnewz for helping me how to make it boot
@Captain_Throwback & @nkk71 for TWRP

Yes.What is your deodexed rom's build number or base number ( ? don't know what they call it) ? I think it is 2.28.617.8 .
Nevermind. Not important. Thanks for the rom :good:
Edit: Yeap.That's it.

Please make a note that this is NOT a twrp backup and cannot be used to restore to stock to recieve any otas, also if there is an ota pushed this rom will show notification and try to install and fail.

Thanks I will do that in the OP but the title says is deodexed so I think it is obvious that is a modified version of full stock

updated OP with v2

It doesn't work on any nougat rom yet other than a stock ruu. I've tried every rom and parts of every rom. Even completely stock it won't work if flashed through twrp. I just did stock ruu then rooted added clean slate and debloated it and works great for now till the volte and stuff gets figured out. The problem is all the devs are international base not us based so they can't test why it's not working due to there carriers.

I don't see why not since this is a stock Rom only deodex, but haven't test and remember there is an update already and it will not work to take the ota in this rom

I'm not worried about taking an OTA. My bootloader is unlocked and I'm on N already and have the unofficial TWRP installed. I just want to go back to stock to S-Off so I can change my CID and convert it to US Unlocked since it's the international version and I need to update my firmware and want to flash a new radio. If it doesn't work, I'll use an RUU.

[patch][lollipop][ls980][stock based]

Hy guys, I'm trying to make a patch (from grola v2 ls980 patch and zvg update) that can made every stock based Lollipop rom work on LS980 sprint G2.
I tested it on G2PRO2 v5 port and on Grola/simple rom and it works without the signal drops that other patchs have.
Tested on CloudyG2 3.1 and it boot and seem stable [couple of hours now].
Now cloudy made his own patch so use it not mine.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now the baseband is properly displayed, not unknown.
I'm not responsable of brick, phone explosion, sexually transmitted infections, etc.
Installation
0 do a backup
1 you must be on a bumped TWRP
2 flash kk bootloader
3 reboot recovery
4 wipe
5 flash your choosed LP rom
6 DON'T REBOOT
7 flash the patch
8 flash again your twrp recovery
9 reboot
10 enjoy the rom (especially cloudy's one)

so we can use any d802 rom on ls980 now? or is it just for simple rom
I have tried simple (korean) and GPRO2 v5 final (d802) and them works. So in theory this patch can made every LP stock based rom LS980 compatible.

Thank you! If you want you can test the patch on some roms and give me feedbacks. I want to understand the differences in gps and led between the variants, so we can fix everything on every rom.

So this is ls980 boot loader for zve. I believe I can find the right commands to pull laf partition and kernel to bump. So we can get TWRP on the LS980 or at least I understand that is the necessity.

Will do...Let me know which rom you want me to test it on .. Shall I try it on Cloudy's Lollipop rom ?
Btw did you try renaming the product/model lines in the build.prop, to ls980,if not the roms will use the specified d805 or w/e propietary blobs. im not to sure if the lg g2's gps modules are cross compatible with the different models. But i would try this, this way it uses our propietary blobs that you included in patch(system/lib/modules). btw the recovery.img you included in the patch is that the stock recovery, or twrp bumped?

Tried it... The rom itself doesnt flash properly. I think this is incompatible version due to cloudy's scripts. End Result : System & Data deleted and the phone reboots back to recovery.
imho, we need to update the original zip made by cloudy for his rom.
Do you think it'll work if i use your patch, flash a rom based on official lp for d802, and use the bluecyclon kernel?

Are you sure that the rom is downloaded property? Md5 ok? Some time ago I tried flash it with another patch, and except big signal drop issues the rom works. Now I cant but when is possible I download it and try by myself.

So, first I'll quickly detail how I upgraded. Coming from Blisspop, I ran Autorec for Lollipop (linked in OP), rebooted to recovery, wiped flashed the ZVG radios (linked in OP), flashed the rom, and it was good to go. No tot back to stock required for me (YMMV).

I did the exact same thing to my ls980 coming from Blisspop 2.3 and it just looped at the LG boot logo. Then I flashed the kernel to see if that would work and now I can't even get the lg flash tool to see my phone in download mode! I can't even flash back to stock! Before that I tried to restore my my twrp backups but none of them are working now. Kinda pissed, not blaming anybody. I just wish sometimes things weren't explained in such a bleak manner. The more specifications the better. In other words, depending on which version of Blisspop and what phone model you're using....this might now work for everybody.

Last I saw the lollipop auto-rec was named "ls980_best_version_omg_so_good"
If you didn't flash that version. You will be in a heap of trouble.
And the icon has a picture of a lollipop with "ARec" written in it.

It's all good on my end. For some reason the laptop that I only use for flashing my phone to stock was set to the wrong com port. I flashed to stock, upgraded to ZVG, rooted, used AutoRec Lollipop, wiped everything except internal memory, flashed the rom, waited a little bit for the LG logo to disappear and everything has been smooth ever since. It's a nice, minimalistic, clean rom. Indeed worth the trouble, good work. One question? How can I get a menu button in the navigation bar in this rom? Is it there and I just can't find it?

First question, did you put the phone to cloudy 3g 2.1? It did you buy it that way?
Which service provider or carrier are you on? Sprint or someone else?
These are important as stock will only allow sprint to work.

Use the appropriate one for sprint. Take the ota, root via the one click method that is in "Sprint Android development".

How to install xposed framework?

I have tried several times but I'm not able to install xposed framework. my last attempt lead my sm-t705 to a bootloop, can anyone explain the steps here? I'm using tw 5.0.2, rooted, twrp recovery, up in the air 1.7 kernel.
Make sure your rom is deodexed then Install this zip via twrp:

Then install the Alpha 4 apk:

That's it, reboot and you should have xposed.

What you said doesn't make sense, if you modify a stock rom it becomes custom.
If you root, deodex and install xposed then your stock rom becomes custom.
You need to do all 3 to make it work.
I would suggest saving yourself some hassle and installing the rom below, it is practically a stock lollipop rom, which is deodexed and rooted. All you need do is install xposed.

I've flashed every version of arter97's builds that said sdk21. I'll try again, and yes, it's booting just fine deodexed.
EDIT: "As far as my testing goes, only the Korean Note 3 firmwares should install "requestConcurrentGC" version." Because of that line there, I never tried flashing that particular version. Until now. It worked and finally booted up completely except no modules are showing up in the downloads section.
EDIT 2: Simply reinstalled the Xposed apk and the download section was populated.

Pretty much all Samsung devices running LL use the requestConcurrentGC version.
The latest versions will do a device check before installing anyway.

Why don't you update it to mm then install wanam xposed build. Saves all the hassle of deodex ing.

You can save yourself some hassle there are some great deodexed roms in the development section.
If you still want Xposed for stock check out the Arter97 thread for the latest modified Xposed. It has been patched to no longer require deodexing.

Thanks. I saw arter97's thread.
but in the first post, the quote is emphasized. I am note sure someone try it on odexed stock rom.
/* Prerequisite */
Due to my skills limitation, only deodex'ed ROMs are supported for now.
For more explanations, checkout post 2.
/* Supported firmwares */
Every ARMv7(32-bit) Samsung Lollipop Android 5.0 deodex'ed firmware should work.
But please note that I have tested this only on Galaxy S4, Note 3 and S5.

This ia ancient news, I think exposed killed my knox?, I thought it said it could not install because if it, it asked me if i wanted to disable knox so it could install, I said yes and knox was killed, this was over a year ago and i was on kitkat, is this correct.
Killing knox was the best thing for me once i realised it, no more worrying about killing it any-more, my 2 year warranty is almost out, and i have had no problems with my T800 10.5"

As usual, thanks for the tarball ;p
Woohooo!
Thanks for this! I haven't messed with TW in almost a year, so I'm probably doing something stupid... I flashed the PH4 modem and LTE (coming for OG5), and then this ROM. Now Wifi and camera auto focus aren't working. Any suggestions?
I have a few questions. if anyone knows the answers, beyond reasonable doubt, please chip in if don't know or aren't sure, please just say it or don't answer those parts
is it **fully** deodexed? or are some system apps still odex?
can ph4 be downgraded?
if so, does the 4.4.4 dev firmware still flash over it as well?
does this come with the infamous " ads required" VVM?

Because you are on LP software, I stated you must have taken the official PH4 OTA or odin to you. You cant just cross LP firmware with MM BL/BB. That will always break stuff.

Yes pure Stock deodex, cant leave any file odexed. You can always downgrade and no you must take the OTA or odin too PH4. Says in OP. And VVM is Stock.

I don't think you understood the bottom two questions lol not sure how the 4.4.4 dev firmware question was interpreted -- what I'm wondering is if the new security policy prevents that old old old firmware from being flashed now that it's become more public, PG1 and older did not block it.
and yes I'm aware the VVM would be stock. some users are reporting that a new "mandatory" version does not allow disabling ads anymore without a monthly subscription
Can someone point me to the Odin file for ph4 update?

Here.
So I have this ROM flashed and installed with the PH4 baseband. Everything is working (LTE and whatnot)--except for hotspot. I don't see an option for it, and I can't seem to find any information for stock hotspot enabling.
Am I missing something?
It literally in settings under hotspot...

I was looking for the smaller update so I could load this ROM on top of it.

Yeah. About that? I don't have a "Hotspot" option.

Stock Rom T835 [ARK4] DeKnoxed

hello,
I made this TWRP flashable zip from December ARK4 Samsung firmware, using SuperRKitchen. It's deKnoxed and untouched apart from the lightest of debloated apps. Everything else is untouched and as per Samsung firmware. No root is included or any other mods or additions. I made this for myself, but offer it here for any interested parties. I'm not a dev, script warrior or ROM master. Just a guy with a T835. I was already on ARK4, but I include the ARK4 vendor image if you need to flash in twrp. It's v4 as it took me 3 attempts to make it! You just need to flash Magisk and/or Modesty Kernel if you want.

ARK4 Vendor image: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1dgV-KDBZw7EeCnWcHozR-vx4oKdNG7Ee
Modesty Kernel: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s4/development/kernel-modesty-0-99-4-t3856088
Magisk: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
I don't get my tab s4 until tomorrow, but I'd like to thank you for making this. I know I'll end up using this when I inevitably screw up using one of the roots or debloats.

I'm not sure - but would think it doesn't. You can try though, just back up before you do and restore if not
To flash ROM you'll need TWRP installed. https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga.../recovery-twrp-3-2-3-1-galaxy-tab-s4-t3843211.
Once TWRP is installed and working, wipe system, data etc
Then flash the ROM zip
Flash kernel & Magisk if you require
Thank you OP! Can you please help me understand, what does deknoxed mean? I know Knox is Samsung security, but what would deknoxed be? Less bloat or some functional advantage?
Removing the knox app that may inhibit root manger or interfering with system apps. It
Thank you for your efforts. Having rooted I had a rigmarole to go thru to apply this update. It was so easy, just flashed with TWRP and I still had root, TWRP, and all my apps data and settings.
I hope that you will do the same for further firmware updates as they come out.
Again thanks for your efforts!
Are you doing Pie version as well?
THanks
Sure, as soon as the sammobile site as th UK firmware I'll dig one out
There is one for Hong Kong and one Unknown. Are you able to provide some basic instructions on how to brew the custom firmware please?
Thanks
All links are not working. Does anybody have mirror on this ROM or another ROM based on Android 8 for TWRP?
