REQ: List of bloatware that can be uninstalled/frozen - Asus ZenFone Zoom

I'm looking for a list of the apps which can be disabled or uninstalled on the zenfone zoom. I'm pretty happy with zenui and the mobile manager overall...the startup manager etc...but I'd like to weed down what's unnecessary.
Optimally I'll just freeze them so if something breaks I can unfreeze it.

There is no list as such, depends completely on your personal usage, like you are happy with zenui and the mobile manager..
As per your comfort, freeze all the unwanted bloatware (Freezing is a good idea, so it wont cause any harm till you are completely unsure, check for all ASUS apps).

Performance issues after installing apps,etc

I've got an Tilt 2 (ATT) using the stock rom from e2 rom. Seems like the device starts to slow down over time especially with a bunch of apps installed. I install apps to my storage card. I have used memory reclaimers, but they never seems to reclaim all the ram that is being used. I can see this because I know how much is in use after boot up.
In particular, tabs in TF3D can be slow to appear when they are stopped in, apps slow to launch. I have the app stay open in the background, maybe that is also part of my problem, but I do manually close apps at times too to keep the running ones down to 4 or less.
Anyway..does anyone else notice this? I try not to reboot my phone much. I guess I would like to not have to reboot the phone every few days but if that is what other people do, then so be it.
Thanks for any advice people might have...
Several items:
-stock ROMs especially from carriers are often bloated and don't perform as well as cooked ROMs.
-regular soft resets are unfortunately crucial to keeping your device performing at a high level throughout the day. I have a program that schedules my device to soft reset every morning. But I'd say once every 2 or 3 days is fine.
I'm using the stock rom minus the bloat provided by eraser...
Thanks for the help..I'll just reboot the device every few days.

There's several memory management tweaks and apps that have shown to help a lot with freeing up those resources in the TP2. Have you already tried the two .cabs (nopushinternet and resproxy delete) that have been circulating here? Those, along with a registry edit have made a big difference in the RAM consumption on the TP2 for a number of people on the 6.5 rom. There's also some settings via Advanced Configuration that seem to help.
I actually purchased Memmaid because the TP2 tools wouldn't work on my device for some reason. Memmaid helps, but it doesn't quite do it.
The rom I'm using has push internet disabled, but I am aware of the cab for it too, thank you.
I have not tried the proxy delete cab, I will look into that.
The memmaid app has some performance registry tweaks. There are some for internet explorer, but I use opera, so I'm going to put those back to normal.
I tend to let apps be open too and perhaps that is also part of the problem. I go in an close them when several are open, but maybe I should just have the X button close the app instead.
Thanks again for everyone's input. Much appreciated.
make sure you use the opera9 edits or cabs to disable auto startup of Opera. I know normally have 48% ram to use with stock rom and before it would be in the high 30's after a while without anything open. I agree the mem progams dont restore it to fresh boot state but they do help.
I also haven't disabled Opera at startup, i will look into that as well to give me a bit more ram. Thanks again.

best ROM with HTC apps and Sense Removed?

I just got my EVO and will soon root it. I can't stand the HTC ROM and all of its apps that override the regular Android apps (messaging, calendar, etc.). I would like a minimalistic ROM with all of the HTC apps and Sense removed. Can anyone recommend a good one that may also offer benefits for performance (e.g. JIT) and battery life? I'd prefer to have the Sprint apps on it, such as Sprint TV and the NFL app, but I suppose I can always add those on afterward. I also won't consider a ROM with any sorts of issues (such as broken camera). Thanks!
Just found this ROM and flashed it:

It's been great, seems quick and very stable. It also allows you to delete almost any app, including sense and rosie util, plus any sprint ones you want off, plus the bloat HTC stuff (peep, trimmer, footprints, etc.)
Try it out, I've been pretty happy with it.
Damage control. Its got a gui they made to remove anything you don't wasn't and profiles to save battery or go into performance mode. Its amazing I get over a day usage now
Thanks for the quick reply guys. With so many great choices, I may just have to try them all!

How to get rid of unwanted prog/services running on background?

Below list is apps/services that I never or rarely use but started by OS at every boot!
-Stocks
-Facebook
-Flickr
-E-mail
-Gmail
-Friend Stream
-FM radio
-Footprints
-News
-News and weather
-Peep
-Google maps
Is there a way to exclude them from startup menu like as it is in windows?
for unrooted Desire running on official froyo as well...
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Erm....
Buy a regular phone?
lol, I've been thinking of creating a custom rom once cyanogen 6 is stable, taking out all the bits I don't use. Perhaps you could consider that route?
As the above guy says, install a custom rom but remove those APKs from the (IIRC) "system/apps/" directory.
Having done that with a Cyanogen nightly, I have JuiceDefender, SetCPU, 3G Watchdog, Google Services Framework, News and Weather, and Swype as my only running services. Bold are the ones that are actually part of the OS, the others I added. 265mb RAM free at startup!
However, before doing anything, I would recommend downloading "OS Monitor" from the market and getting some perspective on how much CPU those processes are actually using. It might surprise you... I know it sucks to have stuff running on your phone you don't want, but usually those things are actually very lightweight and harmless. News and Weather (genie service) for instance uses virtually nothing but is nice to have.

[Q] After root, how do I free up space in my Tab S

Hello,
The one thing that I really hate about this tablet is the insane amount of bloatware preinstalled. I own the 16GB LTE version, and a whopping 4.42GB is taken up by "system files."
4 games later (RR3, NFS Most Wanted, Asphalt 8, Injustice) and a few basic apps and I have less than 1Gb left.
So I rooted, installed Root App Delete, and started deleting junk. I haven't touched any of the browns or reds yet, although deleting some of them seem to be harmless (like the pre-installed office suite app, for instance).
To my disappointment, the 4.42GB didn't budge at all, so I gotta delete more stuff, but what??? What can I safey delete that won't damage my tablet? Ideally, I'm looking for a list of items that can be safely deleted, from which I can choose based on my usage, as not to ruin the stock ROM.
Considering this is an Exynos device (yes, T805M, Exynos with LTE, lucky me ) and there'll not be a decent custom ROM available any time soon,I'm stuck with stock ROM. I'll have to make do with Nova Launcher and as few bloatware as possible.
This is a very interesting question because I also want to debloat my Tab S (SM-805).
I found this, maybe it helps you:

Thanks, dude!! That's EXACTLY what I was looking for. I'll try tonight.
Please share your experience when you did, would be interesting :good:

After I debloated some stuff and used greenify, battery life was increased for me. So now it doesnt drain as much as before.

Is Greenify still useful?

Hey guys I saw that new systems can hibernate apps on their own now. But something I am very curious about is, is greenify still needed in our systems?
I stopped using it on Pie and I've been using greenify since my first rooted phone.
Android has great resource management now so most people don't explicitly need greenify.
But it is in no way obsolete. There's loads of advanced features built in that work well. If you don't trust the android system to really hibernate certain apps you can use greenify go be sure.
There are still reasons to use it, but if you were half needing it half not needing it then it would be easier to just stop using it and use the restrict option in battery settings for apps.
Thank you for the reply. I was solely using it to hibernate the downloaded apps. However, I feel like in Pie it is not as much needed as well now that you've mentioned it.
