As far as I am aware you need to install the latest version of twrp v2.8 as earlier versions are not compatible with marshmallow.

[Q] [q] sm-n930f boot loops and error messages after hydra rom install & stock flash

[Q] [q] sm-n930f boot loops and error messages after hydra rom install & stock flash
Hello,
I've incurred ENDLESS boot loops after trying to install Hydra Rom. I've been getting very strange error messages also. In light of this, I've tried to flash back to stock through ODIN multiple times, but I've only been successful after I change the partition files to FAT through TWRP RECOVERY beforehand. It gets stalled up, I reset, then only Download mode is accessible, at this point I can get a success message through ODIN when I flash stock.
Interesting enough, the files seem to have reset after the stock flash through ODIN is successful... well, halfway successful. Everything seems to look good but then the screen pictured below shows. I reboot and NOTHING but boot loops. I have to go through obstacles to reflash TWRP and get it working again too, which is how I found the files go from FAT, back to 4.
I'm not sure what's going on, and I wish I had more information, but I'm terribly confused at this point. Anyone have any ideas??????

try to install newest twrp and format all or repair partitions ... then try to flash hydra 1.3.5 with hydra kernel 1.2.5 select in aroma .... after this flash csc selection be sure to select your csc and then reboot hope it comes back hehe

[solved] TWRP - could not mount /data and unable to find crypto footer

Hi,
Nice to be here after so much years of reading !
My LG G3s (d722) was fine with Cyanogenmod 13 and encryption enabled. I've made a Titanium backup for my apps (& cie...) on the SD card, and reboot in TWRP 3.0.2-0, enter my password to mount storage, and I've wiped all partitions exept the SD card.
Then I've flashed the CM14 zip file, and get these error in the process :
"could not detect filesystem for /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/userdata, assuming ext4 mount: failed to mount /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/userdata at /data: Unkown error 200 unmount of /data failed; no such volume"
"Failed to mount '/data' (No such device)"
Since then :
- if I reboot into recovery, TWRP doesn't ask me the password to decryp the partition
- if I reboot in CyanogenMod ask me the password, but the tells me :
Decryption unsuccessful
The password you entered is correct but unfortunately your data is corrupt.
To resume using your phone, you need to perform a factory reset. When you set up your phone after the reset, you'll have an opportunity to restore any data that was backed up to your Google Account. Then it reboot into TWRP
Any ideas ?
How could I mount ext4 partition in TWRP ? Or restore stock recovery ?
Thanks a lot for your advices
resolving !
Hi myself and everyone from another time,
I've resolved this mess by :
- installing LG drivers
- downloading kitkat stock-rom D72210d_00.kdz
- open LG Flash Tool 2014 and load D72210d_00.kdz, and start a CSE Flash
Then stard android 4, root it... etc

[SOLVED] Nexus 5X Not Booting after Flashing Pixel Mod2 (/vendor & /system)

Help! I flashed the Android Oreo Pixel 2 Mod over Android Oreo 8.1.0 with my apps and data on it, and then the phone wouldn’t boot. So I went back into the recovery (TWRP 3.2) and tried to wipe the phone. TWRP wiped everything except for /vendor, returning the error “Failed to mount /vendor (invalid argument),” and "Failed to mount /system (invalid argument)". In TWRP I also tried mounting /system and /vendor, but it wouldn't let me check the box. So tried installing the stock android from the google page, and while sending sparse file ‘system’, It says FAILED (data transfer failure(Unknown Error)). Please Help, I’m a pretty much a noob at this kind of stuff.
EDIT: SOLVED
After browsing online, I wiped the phone one more time, re-flashed TWRP, tried a few commands, I tried repairing the file system of /system, re-installed the vendor.img(probably this), then It worked!
I'm just thankful it works now.

Update to TRWP 3.4.0-0 failed - factory reset?

TWRP won't start after updating from 3.3.. to 3.4.0-0 using fastboot. Output includes "Failed to mount '/data'" - see following post.
I guess because I accidentally ran fastboot unlock although it was already unlocked. (The TWRP website fastboot update procedure starts right back with installing the tools and I jumped in at the wrong place)
Tried installing previous TWRP version but no dice.
Any ideas?
I did a TWRP backup before all this. Not exactly sure where it's located but would like to recover it if possible. Will a factory reset likely overwrite it?
