If I play games with my phone using the livedock, connected to the tv and using a wireless controller and also charging the battery, may it burn my phone motherboard?

OTG HDD and G4?

I tried to hook up my new WD mypasseport ultra 1tb to my G4 via OTG but clearly the G4's is not providing enough power. Is there a way to boost USB power thanks to a custom kernel or it's impossible?
